We have been here twice, once for dinner and another for lunch. Ambience is cozy, darker, and plenty of seating. Service was ok. Food is ok. Salad is fresh, salmon overcooked, wings are strangely thickly-breaded. Despite ok-food, we were glad to have something within walkable distance for marathon weekend.

Spinach Artichoke Dip

Great find while up north. Never in the area before but I'd return just to eat again at this restaurant! The spinach artichoke dip with fresh veggies was the best I ever had. Had the special, Cajun whitefish with wild rice and asparagus! Cleaned the plate!! Our waitress Hywa was the best! She write us a little thank you card. There was also an antique bar which looked very inviting for a night cap! If you're in the area you need to stop in. You want be disappointed.

Decent mal but little flavor in the curds, Alfredo, or the tiger shrimp. The clam chowder has wild rice - unexpected and would have been nice to know in advance. Only the old fashioned was truly good.

We were greeted right away and seated by our server Lisa F. She was on point got us waters while we looked at cocktails. Great menu- good selection! My boyfriend got the fish tacos- excellent- I got the smoked turkey wrap and cup of clam chowder was very good! I tried an island martini and he had the Burberry mojito both were very good! Good came quickly Lisa checked to make sure everything was good! This is inside a brewery lots of things to look at! We will be back!

Very nice place. Quiet and comfortable inside. They brew one of my favorites, nut brown ale. I had the ribs which were very tasty. We have been here before and we will be back again when in the area.

Good Spot For A Feeding! Well it happened again... We got hungry while out and about... It seems to happen often. It was getting late as we finally neared our destination and not many places were open so we got excited when we found this place. After all, an empty stomach doesn't care what time it is... The food was good, prices were reasonable. Service was good, atmosphere was good. After a good feeding we were off again to the hotel auto get some beauty sleep so we could explore and have little adventures again the next day.

Lake Superior whitefish sandwich with clam chowder with wild rice.

Drove up to Ashland to enjoy a beautiful day and discovered this gem of a restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, fast and friendly service, and the food was delicious! I enjoyed a Lake Superior whitefish sandwich with a side of clam chowder with wild rice. My wife loved her pulled pork sandwich with to die for bbq flavored waffle fries! Prices are very reasonable, and as a bonus for you craft beer aficionados, they are affiliated with The Alley, which makes and serves South Shore Brewery beers!

Scallops with veg and wild rice.

We stopped in for dinner while passing through on a road trip. There was plenty of seating, and the staff was very busy, but pleasant. We didn't have to wait for a table at all. I ordered the scallops (pictured) with the wild rice and vegetables. I'd have liked more squash and carrots in the vegetables (only got one piece of each) and less cauliflower, but everything was very good. My scallops were just a tiny, slight bit under, but they tasted very fresh so that didn't bother me at all. We also had the bagel dip appetizer, which is not pictured because it was so good that we ate it before we thought to take a picture. I'm not sure what was in it, but it was pretty much addictive. The only issue that I had was that the salt shaker was set to pour very fast, and I ended up with a pile of salt on some of my food. Overall, a great meal.

Each of us also had the soup of the day. The soup was tremendous. Whitefish was so well done. Nice size bun to not overwhelm the fish. To top it off we splurged and split a berry crisp with ice cream on it. Just fantastic. Side note lemonade and fresh tea were very nice as well. Check the hours before you go. No weekends. Found the service very friendly. We'll be back. New favorite in Ashland.

I had a cup of the fish chowder along with the recommended seasonal tomato and mozzarella appetizer. My husband had a salad with whitefish on top. I was licking the bowl & the plate, savoring each bite. I'm guessing our waiter was the owner and his recommendations were really helpful. Service was very attentive and the price paid for our meal was extremely fair If you're in Ashland and want some great grub, come here. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped mid afternoon for a late lunch on Lake Superior. This is a fairly popular resort with…read morethis stand alone restaurant/bar. 4 staff, 3 tables with 8 patrons and service was soooooo slow. Not sure why my cup of soup took 20 minutes to come, but when it did, it was the wrong soup. She left the wrong one at the table (smoky chicken wild rice) and said the kitchen was just heating up the corn chowder I ordered and it would be out on a minute. Three minutes later, the "corn chowder" was brought out. It was not hot and did not taste good. When the wait staff came out again, I asked her to take it because it wasn't good and her reply was "I'll see if the kitchen forgot something ". Wait....what?? I also ordered the forest mushroom flatbread. It looked pretty but this is a combination that should not exist. The flatbread was cut and then two fried eggs and arugula were place on top so you could not take a bite without losing the egg and salad. Also...when you say it is a "forest mushroom" flatbread, it should actually have wild mushrooms or just call it "Mushroom Flatbread ". On a positive note, the smoky chicken wild rice soup was delicious and the manager stopped by with her apology and a desert on the house. Hopefully I was just here on an off day

I loved the Portabella burger and my kids thought the burgers and fries were great! It's a little spendy - burgers are $18. There is free parking outside and nice view of Lake Superior!
