If you are anywhere near Ashland, WI you must stop in to this place! The atmosphere is inviting as soon as you walk in the door! The beer was looted perfectly and our food was all well done. Grill cheese was an easy traditional sandwich, however the hand cut French fries were the best we've ever had, as fries like that are usually limp and mushy! Pepperoni pizza which had handmade crust and came out so cheesy and hot it was delicious! Burger was cooked perfectly and a great size for a growing 12 year old hockey player who is pretty picky! We also ordered some cheese curds and they were crunchy and goey at the same time, perfection. Played a few games of pool on a well-kept table that actually had sticks that were straight and chalk to show off your game a little. Sparky, the owner came out to greet us, which is always nice in a place like this! With multiple tvs, hockey gear everywhere and a clean environment you can't have a bad time in this place! This is a must go see place and we will drive back through every time we are close to Ashland! Thanks Sparky's for a great first impression!

The afternoon we were there, it was extraordinarily blustery outside, with dirt being whipped around town as their major through road area was under construction. We parked our vehicle and walked a block or two to Coco, where we got a hot beverage to sip on while enjoying the hot blueberry turnover that had just come out of their oven. It was sooo delicious! Flaky pastry folded over generous, intensely-flavored blueberry filling. The experience brought me right back to childhood memories of eating the frozen ones made by Pepperidge Farms that you baked in the oven at home. It was the rare occasion that my mom bought a box or two of them (there were 4 per box, and there were 5 members in my family), most likely, when they were "on sale" at a local grocer. The decor inside the place was very colorful, quirky, funny, awesome! Will make it a point to visit this place again when I'm in the area!

After waiting in line for 20 minutes, we were only then told that hot food would take nearly an hour. That's something the line should be updated on every few minutes so people can decide whether to wait or not. The staff were very kind and efficient, and the girls with intolerances were happy to see such a large variety of options. They definitely need a bigger space to handle weekend rushes, but I get it, small town charm. The food and drinks we had were pretty good and overall fine, aside from the wait and the last minute news about the hot food. Would recommend for the people with intolerances but keep in mind it might take a while!

Had a visit to Ashland decided to try the restaurant. And glad we did…read more Great corner place and atmosphere was enjoyable We were there at lunch. Had a whitefish sandwich and a salad. Each of us also had the soup of the day. The soup was tremendous. Whitefish was so well done. Nice size bun to not overwhelm the fish. To top it off we splurged and split a berry crisp with ice cream on it. Just fantastic. Side note lemonade and fresh tea were very nice as well. Check the hours before you go. No weekends. Found the service very friendly. We'll be back. New favorite in Ashland.

I had a cup of the fish chowder along with the recommended seasonal tomato and mozzarella appetizer. My husband had a salad with whitefish on top. I was licking the bowl & the plate, savoring each bite. I'm guessing our waiter was the owner and his recommendations were really helpful. Service was very attentive and the price paid for our meal was extremely fair If you're in Ashland and want some great grub, come here. You won't be disappointed.

Where to start? We walked in to what seemed to be a very empty restaurant. We were told on a Monday…read morenight that It'll be a 20 minute wait. 45 minutes later, they tell us it's going to be another 5 minutes & about 15 minutes later, we were finally seated. We were not in a rush, but the service was so slow. It really makes me wonder how they do when the place is actually busy! Well, we all wanted different fish and or seafood and we were told that they were very busy from the fish fry from Friday that they had no fish at all. Meaning any meal that contained seafood, they didn't have. (we asked a lot of questions and it seemed any seafood was out) That's about 80% of the menu. Our server gave off a vibe that she didn't care whether or not we were there and I'm guessing that this is probably her first job? We all ordered soup and after sitting at our table for a good 15-20 minutes, I had to approach her at the bar and asked to see if we can get the soup prior to our meal being served. Her reaction gave me the impression she totally forgot we also ordered soup. After we were given our food, we were maybe halfway done eating when she started to bring all of our dessert to the table. So we are finishing up our meal while our dessert was sitting right next to us. (we ordered the dessert because they were out of everything else and we were afraid that if we didn't order it with our meal, we would have nothing). Won't be back.

They bring the food out to you in styrofoam containers and plastic silverware (which they forgot) . Sound's simple enough right, well it's not. We made multiple trips back inside to get silverware, napkins and to check why it was taking so long. Food finally delivered and was wrong, another trip inside. Once everything was corrected we were finally able to eat and it was not good. We had fettuccine Alfredo. Looked and tasted like it was sitting for a while. Moral of the story, Do Not Sit on the Patio. Beautiful view but a frustrating experience.

Love, love, love this spot…read more On a recent trip to the area, we stopped by here for dinner one evening. I think it was our favorite dinner of the trip. Patsy's serves up some delicious eats and their patio? All blooming, shaded loveliness. The first thing to note is that if you're dining on the patio, you'll want to run inside and grab some menus. You'll order at the bar. For my dinner I ordered their patty melt served on marbled rye, which was everything a patty melt ought to be (so good!). For my side, I opted for the onion rings which were battered (I prefer this over breaded) and perfectly crispy. Zero complaints on the pub grubtastic food. I also ordered an whiskey old fashioned, which was prepared in the Wisconsin style and was great. The service was also lovely. When I was ordering, the gentleman in front of me explained that he had been coming here for 30 years and it's the same guy behind the bar--amazing. Also, I totally accidentally left my purse on the patio (I only had one drink--just a complete oopsie moment). I didn't realize until the next morning. When I called, they had it stashed behind the bar for me and I was even able to pick it up prior to their opening. Really, above-and-beyond lovely folks working here. Get to it!
