I truly think that all the 5 stars review were fake reviews. I wish to give them zero star if I can. I don't even know how they can still stay in business with this horrible customer service. I simply want to order ONE pre-made item from their catalog, the process is pulling teeth! First, the catalog mentioned that there's an instruction demonstration on YouTube regarding this specific product. I went on YouTube, looked thru all videos from this company, didn't find the video that they claimed on the catalog. Then I tried emailing thru the website, no response. Then I tried calling the Van Nuys number, two days in the roll, no one picked up. Then I tried calling their headquarter in outer state, only found out that the you tube video never existed, but I can't order product thru them, I have to call the Van Nuys branch. Then I tried calling Van Nuys again, finally Emily picked up, told me she can't take order over the phone because everything has to go thru manager's approval, then she gave me an email address, said their manager will get back to me in 24-48 hours. Again, tried that, no response. So basically calling their number is useless. So...here I am~ clueless about how this company can stay in business with this kind of management and service. absolutely the rudest staff on the planet. They have a virtual monopoly in the area for sign- making, so this naturally makes them feel they can treat people how they want. There were two billing mistakes I found on my receipts, an overcharge of almost $50. Instead of apologizing for the mistake (or should I say, mistakes?), they just sent me over a "corrected" invoice. There was a man named G--g that was very rude to me when I asked him to add something to my sign design. They later fixed it, but I didn't see the point in the initial rudeness. A very disorganized company. I spoke to 4 or 5 people and everyone said said different things. They give you one price then they try to charge you another price. One excuse after another. When you try to get an answer they just point fingers without taking any responsibility. read more

I should have read the reviews before I placed my order. My thoughts were that since they specialize in sign-making, then it's likely they have streamlined production operations. Wrong. I placed the order last week, and here it is a week later, yet I still haven't received a proof. I called and they transferred me to someone named Tracy, but it went straight to voicemail. I can tell this is going to be a long drawn out debacle of waiting weeks and perhaps months for delivery. I told my client I would have the sign out this week. Terrible service. My first sign was late.... Then they put a for lease rider attached to it when it was a sale. They added a flyer box I never ordered. So I say ok....maybe just that week. Here I am starting at my property and no sign. It was supposed to go up yesterday. Ordered 9 open house signs and they came with out posts! Called them because this must be a mistake considering open house signs need to be posted in the ground! Dee Sign told me that because I ordered directional signs they came with out posts and that there is nothing they can do for me! Why anyone would order open house signs with out posts is beyond me. I purchased three 30 x 24 frames from Dee Sign and they were made too small. The service rep said that they make the frame the exact size for their panels... Which means they make their products smaller than its competitor. I am certainly not trying to advertise for the competitor but I am looking at products from both places and the size difference is undeniable. Dee Sign charged me an additional $88.55 for shipping as opposed to the other company ($29.95), and that was for 3 signs, 3 panels, and 3 sign riders. I want Dee Sign to know that it is rather insulting that I paid that much for shipping and I would need to pay again to return the product they made too small. read more

I work in real estate in Los Angeles, I am posting this review because Dee signs takes forever, (a month if not more) to sign place orders and have them made, as well as they take too long for sign installation. They also can't find orders and say you never placed an order, when I have the receipt from them. I would no recommend them. Also, their customer service needs to be more friendly and to not abruptly hang up the phone when you are mid sentence. read more

Horrible Sign Company. I have been a real estate broker for over 12 years and have never had such poor customer service (Namely Russel). Their turn times are never accurate. They quote you a few days and then a couple weeks later you get what you ordered. Stay away if you are deadline oriented. They will never deliver your work on time. This time I went into the location in Van Nuys to purchase specialty flags for an open house I was hosting last weekend. In checking them out, the staff member assembling them for me found one of the packages without complete parts, and rectified the situation immediately. I was very pleased. read more

Don't trust this company! I was informed by Connie at Dee Sign that there would be no charge to return to my listing and move the sign to a better area. Initially, the sign was placed where no one could see the sign from the street. It was put on a stake, not on a post and pretty much out of sight. This problem started due to the break down in communication between the driver, office and me. NO ONE CALLED ME TO FIND OUT WHERE THE SIGN SHOULD BE PUT. Moving forward, when the driver went back out to place the sign in the appropriate place the landowner of the property where the sign and post was to be placed changed his mind about having the sign on his property. Thus, the stake sign was never moved from where it was initially placed. The driver did no work. This should be the end of this story but Dee Sign went back on its word. In our society when one gives there word it is professional to keep your word or the integrity of a person or company is put on display for the public to see. Dee Sign charged me again to go back out and move the sign. The driver did not move the sign, no work was completed. I was informed there would be no charge because the sign was put in a worthless spot. So I called Dee Sign and was informed I was charged because the driver was not able to put the sign in a different location. WHAT! So, the driver did nothing. The job was not performed due to the change of mind of a property owner and Dee Sign states they charged me again because the driver went to the property and did nothing. I asked the female who answered the phone what she meant by her nonsense statement and she just answered, yes that's right. Absurd! I asked to speak with her manager and she said she would have her call me back. I asked again to be transferred to the manager. Once transferred it went right to voicemail. I have not heard back from the manager. When you give your word to someone and then go back on your word you lost your INTEGRITY with that person and business. Don't trust DEE SIGN! There are better companies to give your business to. IN ADDITION, I EXPLAINED TO THE FEMALE REP ON THE PHONE I HAVE GIVEN ALL OF MY BUSINESS TO DEE SIGN OVER THE YEARS AND WITHOUT HAVING THE ADDITIONAL CHARGE REVERSED I WOULD NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH DEE SIGN AGAIN. This has got to be one of the worst companies I've ever used. Took them over a month to print my signs - I had to follow up repeatedly with no response until finally I started emailing every single staff email address I could find to get answers. Then I order up 2 signs with white posts and they put these super cheap stakes in the ground for BOTH properties! After the first one was installed I reached out and asked them to make sure they didn't do it at the 2nd property but without fail, they did. Both luxury properties btw - so needless to say after both owners are pissed that the signs weren't up for an entire month - they get really cheap stakes in the ground. To top it off, they lie to me about the 2nd location and say the HOA told them they couldn't put a white post. Here's the catch - there's no HOA & I'm also the property manager for the whole building & am the only person that could have told them what they can or cannot do. Unreal! I ordered my real estate signs. They were not cheap or expensive. Average. But the quality was there. it was thick plastic and not the flimsy type. To date I am still using them except for the ones that have been stolen. They are of good quality, heavy duty, think plastic and they get the job done on time. If your looking for a company that takes care of your needs, DON'T USE DEE SIGN!! I bought listing signs and open house signs over a year ago, and they messed up my order!! I had my listing signs stored in their warehouse and when I ordered my sign to be put on my listing, they told me they couldn't find them... I then got a call that they found my signs but it had the wrong phone number on the sign... They told me it was my fault and if I wanted them to put a tape sticker on my sign to cover up the wrong phone number they would charge me 45.00 per sign, for a sticker, that is their cost on a 4' painted wooden R E sign!!... Also, while talking to a Mgr. they told me my sign was on a truck to be put on my listing... 2 days and 2 phone calls with no call backs and the sign is still not on my listing!! It gets better, now they are telling me they messed up on billing and I owe them more money, but since it has been a year they will wave the charge?? Thank you? My issue is not the fact that they messed up, my issue is they will say anything to make it my fault instead of taking ownership of the multiple problems, and making things right!! I love this sign company. I have been using them since 1992. Recently, one of their installation employees by the name of Amanda, handled my scary dilemma with efficiency, grace and positivity. She took a problem and ran with it and came up with an immediate solution with a quick turn around time. I was very impressed. Her long time manager Monica is also awesome. She has also has been helping me for most of those years and consider her to be good at what she does. I told all my fellow agents about how great of service Dee Signs is these days. I work in real estate and have conducted business with several sign companies over the years. I have found that DeeSigns (who I've been associated with going on 9 years now) is the best and they've been nothing short of excellent and efficient. I'm not quite sure what the other people who posted negative reviews were talking about when they bashed their customer service as they have ALWAYS been extremely helpful and courteous. Their employees have ensured my installation requests, taken my orders diligently and responded to emails promptly- all the while managing to juggle the various other real estate companies they are under contract with. There's a reason why the big name companies in real estate use DeeSigns. If anyone has had any experience working with real estate agents then you'll know how demanding, irrational and impatient they can be. In particular, my DeeSigns representative, Martha, and her team have gone above and beyond the normal expectations; from emergency same day installations/removals, to expediting orders in delicate situations. She is patient, amazingly efficient, organized and last but definitely not least, extremely personable. I've managed to develop a friendly working relationship with the people there and on some days feel like I talk to them more than my own family! What was once a really good sign company has jumped the shark. I ordered a sign rider for a listing of mine on Feb 4th and didn't receive it until March 2nd. And I would not of received it at all if I hadn't followed up 4 times with them. I ordered the rider 2 weeks before a listing of mine was going on the market and I received it 2 weeks after it was already sold. And no refund offered for a sign I don't need. Stay away! read more

This company truly doesn't seem to have it's act together. You would think since this is a 3rd generation run company they would have systems in place that work. For example the company does not have a standard form for their customers to place there orders, therefore you have no idea what information they want to make your sign. Also, they claim to be the fastest company in the area and that is just simply not true. My company has ordered a sign from this company several weeks ago and we still don't have a sign posted where we asked them to post it as of today. They are now saying it will take an additional week and a half. I'm not sure how this company is still in business and I recommend getting a second quote if this is the only company you have contacted. read more

I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews for this company. I've been in business for thirteen years, they have always been my sign company and I have never experienced anything but courteous, reliable service. New signs have never been a problem (although, the are very custom, so they work directly with my designer), if I've ordered an extra rider, it's always been there and installation/removal has always been within 24-48 hours, sometimes sooner. We are a high end international real estate company and Dee Sign is our vendor for all three offices. The service is great! It's convenient because you can order signs installed and removed online. I have to say I have used Dee Signs over the years and their product is good. Their customer service is far from it, however. My latest order was done wrong, delivered incorrectly, had to go back to be fixed, they didn't pick them up as promised and redeliver them fixed as promised. I have already paid for the signs and they give me grief when I call and ask where my signs are that were supposed to be back to me yesterday? They cannot even find them in their system.
