I first went to Menards and then Home Depot and they all said the same thing - we have the screen materials and tool kit but we don't do that type of work. In fact, Menards specifically mentioned Skokie Ace. So I came in and we got what I would consider a fair estimate for 8 of my screens. Now - could I have done this job myself? Of course, and I say that without flinching. The question was, do I sacrifice a Saturday afternoon to replace all of these screens? No, because I could be Yelping. I decided to pay for this work to buy some time. You may disagree but my Cost vs. Benefits analysis led to drop off all of my screens. I opted for aluminum this time and they were all expertly replaced in a matter of days. Excellent customer service by Carlos of Skokie Ace. I received two messages informing me to pick up my screens. They even offer window screen repair services. I needed to get my screens replaced for a few years and I finally visited Kim's Hardware and they were able to make the repairs in a few days. When I asked about an issue and showed photos about potential materials to buy, I was told to have someone come out and pay for it because I didn't "look or sound excited about my project.
