Unfortunately, what I hoped would be a smooth move across town turned into constant phone calls and "insurance claims". The lack of care and packaging for my furniture was apparent. Their resolution to the problem was to file an insurance claim to resolve any issues. During the move our executive office desk was damaged and the entire top was ruined with 8 deep abrasions and a damaged corner. They tipped it on its side and put dresser legs against it which scratched the top while it was moving in the truck. While moving items out of my old house they dented the wall on the stairs as well. I noticed the damage to the desk while they were taking it off the truck and the "lead" mover told me not to worry about it and that I could put in an insurance claim to get the damage repaired. He took pictures of the damage which luckily, I had him send to me. I reconfirmed this with him when they finished the work and I was advised it would be taken care of and not to worry. All they seemed to care about was my credit card payment. I did not make an issue of the drywall dent as I was able to fix it myself, but the damaged desk was a problem. I filed the claim a couple days after I settled in with the email they issued me. It was only after I kept calling and emailing them (approx. 3 times) that I was contacted and advised that a check would be issued and it was in the mail. Be careful on how their "insurance claims" are reimbursed. This is what I found out when they gave me a $75.00 check for ruining my executive desk. They reimburse you $.60 per pound. So they claimed my executive desk top weighs only 45 lbs. which is ridiculous. I called them and advised the owner of "CT Movers" (I believe Greg C.) that the cost to repair the damaged desk was estimated at $250.00 to $300.00 to which he agreed to send another check for $125.00. I agreed to the terms at that point and just wanted this resolved. He again advised me the check was in the mail. That was 3 months ago. I have called numerous times in between just to be told that the check was in the mail. For the last month my calls and emails have gone unanswered. Their communication was very inconsistent after the move was completed and while trying to address the damage incurred to my furniture during the move. Calls and emails went unanswered leaving me in the dark as to the status of the claim. I expected better from a company that claims to prioritize customer service. The move was already stressful and the lack of responsiveness was disappointing. At the end of the day, I would not recommend them for your move and consider another option.

    After leaving company a bad review instead of the owner or manager finding out what really…read morehappened, or that his workers were yelled at by the property manager for there behavior, or where the communication fell down with amount of stuff, or how it didn't fit in truck. I was accussed of having drugs there. And threatened with having cops here for there safety when getting the remaining items. I thought the owner Greg was very nice till he took his 2 movers side before investigating what happened. He new they were suppose to pack some things but brought no boxes, cussed him out., but that same boss yells at me. I left when movers arrived so yell at your movers or tell me what there side is and if it's there were drugs and paraphernalia there it's a straight up lie. Only opiods or paraphernalia there I'm prescribed. I just hope nobody gets the same 2 jerks they sent me.

    Unhappy Customer - Very disappointed with this service. I moved from out of region (Indiana to West…read morePoint) but wanted to use a local company. During in the process of the move my wardrobe boxes that contained all of my clothes were somehow lost. I contacted Arnoff and was was told to file a claim. The claim then went through a claim agency and a lowball settlement amount was offered. In researching the next steps to appeal the settlement I discovered it would have only prolonged the time and cost me more money. I would have my claim sent to an arbitrator and that would have wanted receipts for my clothing items. Who has receipts for all the items in their closet? It's a racket designed to protect the moving companies. I sent numerous emails and did receive one from one of the Arnoff family members however it was just lip service in the end. I reluctantly accepted the settlement offer which was substantially below any numerical value to replace my entire closet. I sent a final email asking them to give the service one would expect from a local company and the human touch but never heard back. They came highly recommended and I have shared my story with other friends and voiced me frustrations. I can say that I will advise anyone moving to the area to use another company.
