Ever since I was in a car accident 15 years ago and injured my right shoulder being thrown into the back of the front passenger seat (I was sitting in the back sans seatbelt), my right shoulder has been slightly displaced in rotation upward and inward. I rarely thought about this (despite having AC joint arthritis bilaterally at age 34), except when doing bridge pose or rest pose in yoga, but when I found out I had an impacted right hip and 2 displaced cervical vertebrae, along with increasing rigidity and muscle spasms in the neck and traps I decided it was time to give Craniosacral Therapy a try. Debra noticed the shoulder right away and asked me about it, which I thought was really cool because it's likely a major contributing factor to the problems that brought me in. I'm so glad I found her, she is thoughtful and caring and really has a healing touch. I took advantage of the Yelp check-in deal for an initial consultation and treatment, and have been back for 2 more treatments since. She also recommended some easy exercises to do at home and I've been doing them regularly. I feel like my shoulder is at least 75% less rotated now, my hip and neck feel much better, and come to think of it I haven't had a trap muscle spasm since that first visit. Pretty impressive! Equally impressive are the sensations I've had of deeply repressed physical trauma being released during her work, for example that of some old rib fractures from 16 years ago that I had no idea were continuing to cause me problems. After 3 craniosacral sessions, I can definitely give Debra 5 stars. (For starters, her usual package is 3 sessions in 3 months, but with crazy COVID days she accommodated me by allowing me to stretch sessions out.) She is intuitive, works in that peaceful, abstract space where your body knows what it needs to heal, and your brain just steps aside. I am a beginner student. I have taken a few classes here and there which i thought were pretty good. Then I took Debra's class. OMG. The best instructor ever! Her studio is clean and welcoming. Debra knew I was a beginner and was very helpful making sure I was getting the poses correctly without hurting myself. There were more advanced students in the class and she adjusted their poses to their ability. There were about 8-10 students in the class and personally talked to each one. Very mellow friendly environment. I really had a great time. Later I found out that most of these students have been taking from her for over 10 years. That says a lot. Unfortunately I don't live in the area. ( was visiting). Otherwise I would make this my yoga home! read more

I suffer from TMJ and realized after planning my wedding that it had progressed in to severe grinding at night that would wake up my husband. Debra is sensational! I tried several other yoga classes in north county San Diego and Debra's style, charm, knowledge and sense of humor is the best fit for me by far. As a long time competitive athlete and coach, I suffer from tight hamstrings, quads and hips and Debra has zeroed in on those areas and really increased my flexibility and tolerance of stretching in just 12 session of gentle yoga. I plan on attending her Monday and Thursday classes religiously, not only for the benefits of increased flexibility but also for the meditative, balance and restorative value. Additionally, her class sizes are small which affords more individual attention than the large local gyms and she varies her instruction every session so we're continually discovering new, beneficial poses and stretches. I started doing yoga with Debra in 2008 when my Dad died and I found myself so discombobulated. I LOVE her. I have been going to her yoga class twice a week for 8 years now.
