After a meeting with Bar, he provided guidance on the overall training plan and boarding her for 30 days. She came back like a new dog with her new commands! Bar did a wonderful job spending time with her over that time, gave progress photos and video on where she's at within her training. I'd highly recommend Bar for training your dog! He's communicative and provides guidance to the owners as well to be successful on reinforcing the training as well! Thank you Bar!

Short version: 100% YES, if you're considering professional dog training, Bar is the way to go…read more Longer version: After a long search, I kept coming back to Bar's reviews on multiple platforms, and I'm so glad I did. We rescued our puppy, Bailey, at 10 weeks old and realized as she grew that we wanted professional help, especially to build her confidence. From our first in-person meeting, Bar was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in our goals. We decided the board and train program was the best fit, and although it was hard leaving Bailey at first, Bar's beautiful property and regular updates gave us complete peace of mind. When we reunited, we were amazed by Bailey's progress. Her obedience, leash heeling, and responsiveness exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, Bar spent time training *us* so we could confidently continue reinforcing everything at home. A few days later, when we returned for an in-person session, Bailey completely lit up when she saw Bar, running straight to him for affection. That moment said it all. We're incredibly grateful and look forward to continuing (and possibly advancing) her training. **Highly recommend Bar's K9 Dog Training.**

This is my second review for Kim, and honestly, I couldn't not write it after what she's done…read morerecently for my dog Todd (aka Cuintli, aka Benson, aka the naked, aka sausage dog) and my friend's dog Ike. Todd has his quirks, and Ike had his own set of challenges, but Kim handled both of them like a pro. She knew exactly how to connect with each dog, address their specific needs, and give us clear, realistic steps to follow at home. It wasn't just about obedience -- it was about creating a better relationship and a calmer, happier dynamic for everyone. Even after all these years of working with Kim, I'm still blown away by her skill, patience, and genuine love for dogs. She doesn't just "train" -- she transforms the way you and your dog understand each other. If you're lucky enough to work with her, take it. Whether it's your own pup or a friend's, she's the one you want on your side.

I have two very different dogs -- Larry, my feisty Chihuahua, and Ike, my big, lovable Pitbull. Before Kim, Larry had a knack for trying to boss everyone around, and Ike had some challenges with boundaries. Kim understood both of them instantly. She tailored her approach to each dog, and the results have been incredible. Larry is calmer and more confident, Ike is more respectful and relaxed, and together they're finally in sync. Kim has a gift for reading dogs and teaching owners how to communicate with them in a way that sticks. She's professional, reliable, and truly cares about every animal she works with. I trust her completely and recommend her to anyone who wants a real transformation in their dogs.

She was borderline verbally abusive to me . She also called my dog a few names that were very uncalled for and mean . She was more like a drill sergeant and was insulting to me because I didn't get immediately everything she wanted me to do .She wasn't kind at all and she made the experience very negative. Too bad because it looked like a fun place for my dog .

This review is long, and prior to this event, I already had disappointing experiences a year ago…read more I tried to attend barn hunt on a few occasions, and unfortunately every time I have tried to come out the trainer ends up canceling an hour before the class is supposed to start. If you've seen their schedules, they only offer classes during weekday afternoons, which means traffic hour. After a few failed attempts, I gave up trying to attend their classes. I decided to give them a second try for Fast Cat, and assumed because it was a sports event it would be different. So, I Invited two friends to come along, who participated with their dogs. All 3 of us were really hyped and looking forward this weekend. However, after the first run we were all extremely disappointed and frustrated. If you've ever attended fast cat, normally you walk down the fence while the releaser holds your dog. This allows you to hype your dog up as you go down, and they're able to see the direction you're walking towards. so by the time you're in position to receive, your dog runs straight to you as they chase the bunny. Their set up was completely different, you leave your dog with the releaser in line, and make your way around parked cars, their agility fenced off area, trees and more. So your dog doesn't really see where you're headed. On my first trial, I got DQd for not being loud enough. My dog didn't see where I was, and screaming over barking dogs that were standing so close to where my dog was, wasn't helpful at all. Then my dog nudged the door, which easily popped open. She got out, thankfully recalled back to my friend. 2nd friend , has me release her dog, he almost got out because the door wasn't closed properly. I wasn't told what to do, I was yelled instructions. My friend's dog didn't want to run, so I was yelled to run him down. This wasn't an issue, but it would have been nice if my dog got run down as well instead of automatically DQing us... I guess it wouldn't have mattered, because she easily popped opened that door. 3rd person in our group goes, and gets DQd because they said he wasn't in the waiting line to receive, yet he had been there for a little over 5 mins. I didn't want to run a second time, but after seeing our friend's dog (who I ran down with) have a good time for his second trial, I thought maybe a second time would be different. This time, the instructor yelled at my friend and asked her what she was planning to do differently this time (since my dog ran out the first trial). It was her first time releasing, as it was our other friend who had previously released my dog. The instructor decides to go in with my friend to show her how to release my dog. Because she did this, no one was at the door to secure it, my dog got out AGAIN. People began chasing my dog and thankfully stopped when she ran back to my car. (I know they were trying to help) The poor excuse of a door that they use is a flimsy dog gate. My dog is 15lbs and easily nudged the door with her nose and it popped open both times. I'm really surprised that no other dog got out, it's not my first fast cat but it was the first fast cat for my dog. No one apologized for not having secured the door right, no one asked if my dog was ok. Instead I was told I should come out to their Dash Dog classes. Why on earth would I want to come back here after the horrible experience I went through? Just to give them money to yell at me, and blame me for my dog getting out of THEIR set-up, that isn't secure at all? On my way out, I got yelled at again "drive slow, your dog got out twice and could have been killed" I WAS driving slow. Thankfully nothing bad happened to my dog, thankfully no other dog figured out how easily it is to open their door. I did see a lot of dogs have a blast, and it was obvious they've done the sport before. Other first timers didn't get DQd right away and we're encouraged to run their dogs down to learn the sport. I would have loved to have been treated equally that way, but unfortunately it wasn't the case. I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt many times, I truly wanted to enjoy today and instead I'm simply counting my blessings that my dog wasn't killed or hurt in anyway way. If they improved their attitude and customer service, I think this place would be amazing.

I could not be happier! On all levels, Birdie (born Harper on Christmas day 2024 for those interested in lineage), has been nothing short of a delight. What a joy! She loves people. She loves animals. She loves her toys. She's a real character. A purebred goofball. Folks immediately comment on her intellect, cuteness, and affable personality. She is the talk of the neighborhood and beyond. A few have urged me to get her onto the big screen and another breeder who shows dogs even remarked that she is 'show quality' in appearance and demeanor, further requesting contact information for Golden Meadows which I happily provided. These pups are bursting with personality and she makes me laugh every day. She has been very easy to train and we are looking to have her become a therapy dog so others can also share in and benefit from her loving nature. It just overflows. Both the breeders and process are highly commendable - even, or especially, as I had to complete the transaction from across country. I have recommended them to a number of folks. I always highlight that the description of their pups are spot on. It is clear that they take the time to get to know and care for them individually. As for health, even though we went through a few issues early on (an initial bout of Giardia and due to her eating something she wasn't supposed to as puppies do - she was sneaky and quick), the Vets all say how healthy she looks and checks out in examinations. She is a hit at the vets' office, never having had an issue and always being compliant during examinations and beyond. Do not hesitate to use Golden Meadows! She also worked on his place command, and now he stays calmly on his bed until released, which has made having guests over so much easier. One of the things that really stood out was how Jennifer took the time to get to know us as well as our dog. She found out we have a horse background and used that to our advantage--explaining training techniques in ways that made total sense to us. She gave examples that tied into the horse world, which made the process so much more intuitive and familiar. She also helped address Maverick's excitement around other dogs, which stems from his strong herding instincts. With Jennifer's guidance, he's now calm and focused on us. Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about setting both the dog and owner up for long-term success. We're so thankful for the transformation she helped us achieve with Maverick!
