After a meeting with Bar, he provided guidance on the overall training plan and boarding her for 30 days. She came back like a new dog with her new commands! Bar did a wonderful job spending time with her over that time, gave progress photos and video on where she's at within her training. I'd highly recommend Bar for training your dog! He's communicative and provides guidance to the owners as well to be successful on reinforcing the training as well! Thank you Bar!

Short version: 100% YES, if you're considering professional dog training, Bar is the way to go…read more Longer version: After a long search, I kept coming back to Bar's reviews on multiple platforms, and I'm so glad I did. We rescued our puppy, Bailey, at 10 weeks old and realized as she grew that we wanted professional help, especially to build her confidence. From our first in-person meeting, Bar was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in our goals. We decided the board and train program was the best fit, and although it was hard leaving Bailey at first, Bar's beautiful property and regular updates gave us complete peace of mind. When we reunited, we were amazed by Bailey's progress. Her obedience, leash heeling, and responsiveness exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, Bar spent time training *us* so we could confidently continue reinforcing everything at home. A few days later, when we returned for an in-person session, Bailey completely lit up when she saw Bar, running straight to him for affection. That moment said it all. We're incredibly grateful and look forward to continuing (and possibly advancing) her training. **Highly recommend Bar's K9 Dog Training.**

We were surprised at how much we could accomplish over virtual meets (pandemic and all). If you are looking for a trainer who really tries to understand the needs of you and your pooch and incorporate that into a workable training regiment Deborah is a great trainer. In a relatively short amount of time Arya went from a pull machine to a pleasure walking machine, she still can't help herself from chasing the occasional lizard but that is her being a dog. She sits on command and understands when it is her time to "settle" down. Arya definitely approves of Deborah's training tech

Although it was during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Deborah had already evolved and adapted to the current situation by offering Zoom and/or FaceTime virtual lessons. She provides great insight, advice and counsel on how to deal with each specific issue being experienced by her clients and their individual dog. In addition, she supplements the lessons by sending emails with articles and further written guidance so that the client has the tools to continually reinforce what they are learning. Deborah also makes herself available via text or email for any questions in between lessons (at no additional charge), and has been very responsive. In fact, even the initial request on Yelp to inquire about her services and pricing was responded to within an hour. If you read Deborah's bio and background information, there is no denying that she has very extensive training and education and knows what she's doing. It has already made a big difference in our puppy in the short time we have used Deborah's services. Highly recommend Deborah if you are having any behavioral issues with your dog, or want basic obedience training. Thank you, Deborah!

Sydney is very responsive, empathetic to her clients and pups, and provides above and beyond resources on how to continue the lessons she provides during her training sessions to ensure that your pup will come out a grade A student! Would I recommend Sydney to other fur baby owners? Absolutely and I wish her the best in her continuing practice! 10/10 would recommend! PS Theo misses his training sessions dearly with Sydney! (-:

I tried introducing them myself a few weeks ago, and my Westie acted like he was going to kill her! For this reason, she has been inside with me ever since. Came to Yelp for help, and so glad I found Sydney. Not only did she pick up the phone when I called, but listened to my story and gave me tips before visiting us. She came for our first training session today. All three dogs took to her right away(the treats added to it) She spent a full hour with us, and it went very well. My rescue boy was ready to play with my little girl, and the bully Westie, didn't attack, and tolerated her. I now know what to do each day to get them all used to one another, and become one big happy family. Her prices are really reasonable, and she has a fun, calming attitude. She also said she is happy to answer any questions that come up. She did not push me to book more sessions, although I was about to book another. I highly recommend her, and so glad I found her.

We spent over $1,000 hoping to improve our dogs' reactivity issues. We followed the homework that was given to us, stayed consistent, and while there was some minor progress, we eventually hit a wall. The BAH method is the foundation of their training approach, and while it might work for others, it just didn't lead to the results we needed unfortunately. What made it more disappointing for us is that even though the company offers lifetime support, it didn't feel like there was anything drastically new or helpful to move us forward after a certain point. Again, I commend for the trainer for trying his best and truly caring, but we hit a wall. We were basically told we were doing everything right, but the problem still wasn't getting better. This review isn't meant to discredit the trainer or the business. I'm sure he's helped many other clients successfully. Unfortunately, in our case, it didn't live up to expectations given the cost and the goals we had. Sidenote: I'm not looking for a debate or follow-up--just sharing my personal experience in case it helps someone else make an informed decision.
