Of course, they do a good job cleaning/polishing your teeth. For the most part, they are very good at diagnosing and fixing any dental problems. We've experienced times where we were billed for services covered by insurance, or received collection calls when bills were paid. While I like the practice, the main problem seems to be their billing department. I doubt they are doing anything on purpose, but it seems like billing isn't checking their work before sending out bills. We've argued charges several times now, and it is getting to the point where, if they don't get their act together, we may be forced to leave their practice.

My first impressions were very good. Kind staff, good with kids, they talk you through their…read moredecisions; however, when my child needed extensive work, I listened to their plan, in the moment trusted the Dr., agreed to treatment, paid a deposit. As I sat with it I grew concerned because the treatment plan included sedation. Expensive and risky. I asked for the X-rays which they sent, but I also requested the plan be written up with a rationale and any other possible options. I'm not a medical professional and do not understand everything thrown at me in the office. There was a follow up phone call where the staff proceeded to tell me verbally the plan. I explained it was intensive and costly and I don't understand so I would like it written up and may seek a second option to make sure this was the right path. I was told they welcomed a second option but that my $1000 deposit was non refundable. I found this really disconcerting. I understand the need of a deposit but when there is genuine concern and you have to make decisions on the spot, I also think making it no refundable with prior notice is poor customer service which I expressed to them. They then sent me an email telling me "our professional bond had been broken". Very concerning for a parent looking to be more informed in making medical decisions for their child. First I felt pressured to agree, then I felt vilified for asking questions.

Personally, for me, finding the right dentist was imperative after all my years of self-neglect with my oral health. I definitely needed tons of new work and replacement of some old work. I have always been nervous about sitting in the dental chair, knowing the two main focal points of discussion would be the dental work needed and the cost to complete the work. Nor will I forget the pain that typically comes with the level of work needed. This is a very intimidating subject for those that haven't had the proper dental attention in quite some time. I came across 32 Dental 4 U while out doing some shopping in my neighborhood. I had to muster up the courage, put my big girl pants on and just go for a visit. Was it emotional? Yes! When I tell you, from the moment I walked into the office, Dr. Sunkara and her entire team made me feel welcomed and understood my needs from Day 1. The bedside manner is top-notch! Dr. Sunkara was patient, knowledgeable about her craft and educated me every step of the way. For all the dental work I have completed over the months, I have never had any pain afterwards and if so, it only lasts for a few hours, even after an extraction. I can tell that the Dr and her team truly care about the patients that walk into her office and most importantly want to see her patients smile with confidence. I have been visiting this office (on Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows) for a few months now and at the end of my treatment plan, I have my smile back, my confidence is up, and I am ready to eat a good hearty meal without the pain and embarrassment.
