My mother recently visited Dr. Montgomery as a first time patient around a month ago, and the experience could not have gone better. The entire staff at the dental office made my mom feel at ease and so comfortable during the entire visit. The care she received from every single person at the office went a long way in having my mom comfortable with her cleaning and x-rays. Even when leaving, everyone in the office gave my mom a hearty goodbye and made her feel like a friend, not just a patient. I really thought (at first) this was a very kind, competent dental office. Unfortunately this was not my experience at all. Most of the staff was rude and even accused me of 'blocking my number'. No, not true- this office even found out it was their phone service that did not allow to call an outside Illinois or Hawaii phone number. I came here to have a simple crown made. I found a lump on my gum & returned only to have Dr. Eaton adjust the crown. Mind you, I spent two thousand dollars! Crown & cavity. Turns out after months of feeling ill, I went to a different dentist & five minutes & $150. later, wow- I had an abscess the size of a pea! A simple X-ray would have saved me months of pain. I had an emergency root canal! Once the Dr. and his office became aware of this, they became 'unavailable ' in my opinion. Dr. Eaton wouldn't even fill the small whole -from emergency root canal. The specialist filled it ! I realize mishaps happen, yet at least own up to your mistake! Your office cost me thousands! I did look at my medical records while they're office was contemplating if they should fill the tiny whole made through the crown and noticed bright red notes all over my medical chart. The red writings were all about how they did try to contact me & "I blocked their number" NOT TRUE! Not one apology from their office- nothing! read more

Dr. Eaton is a nice guy, but it really bothered me that he would always push to get a crown when all that's needed is a cavity. MULTIPLE times we had our insurance deny claims because the "level of decay wasn't sufficient" to warrant a crown. That was when we decided to leave. Now I travel twice the distance just so I can see my old dentist. His daughter did seem like a nice person also. read more

I get to experience many dental offices since I am in dental sales, however I chose this office to get some cosmetic work done. I had a fairly difficult case where most general dentists referred me to prosthodontist. After getting an enormous quote from a prostho and was advised to get ortho and crown lengthening, I turned to Dr Eaton for a second opinion. He was very genuine in his advise and gave me a treatment plan that suited my needs. It was not only financially more reasonable but also allowed me to have a perfect smile with veneers. My experience from start of treatment to the very end was nothin less of perfect. I knew every step. My temp crown and veneers looked amazing. Nobody even in the dental field could tell the difference. Final result is absolute perfection. I have switched my entire family to Dr Eaton and Montgomery. Both Dr's have amazing bedside manner and are truly exceptional at everything that they do. Staff in the office is so pleasant from every dental assistant, to each hygienist, to front desk! I cannot speak to what Chris P. has written but I can give you some insight to this wonderful dentistry from someone who hates going to the dentist. I first met Dr. Jeff Eaton after an emergency dental visit. I was referred to him from a family member and while I live about 40 miles away I was told he was worth the drive. Having experienced a dental emergency on a Thursday I was extremely surprised that they were able to fit me in 2 days later, on a Saturday nonetheless! The whole office was extremely kind and friendly. They make you feel warm and comfortable; like I had been a patient with them for years! While I did go through an extraction and some filled cavities, the discomfort was non-exisstant. They were very straight forward and up front with all my options. They let me know the costs associated with each procedure and were very receptive to every question I asked. Dr. Eaton and his staff is easily the best dentists in the Chicagoland Area. Growing up I never took care of my teeth. My parents always struggled so I never had the opportunity to experience a nice smile or even white teeth. There was always financial restraints that prohibited me from having my dream of a nice white smile. I have went to my fair share of dentists. Not one of them have ever made me feel like they care about my mouth. I walked into Dr Montgomery office just before the holidays for a front broken tooth. She fixed that and said "I'm going to put something together for you for the rest of your teeth". I didn't say anything but in the back of my mind I thought what was going to come next wasn't going to be possible. With the assistance of her staff and her she managed to put a plan together. Nah, her office manager played a huge role to get everything finalized with my insurance company and putting together a reasonable payment plan. I have never been to a office that made me feel so happy. Dr Montgomery took a lot of time with me and gave me the chance to have a pretty white smile without having to worry about money. She worked with me from start to finish. I really can't express the great work she does. I know everybody cares about money but with her it's a little different. She is a rare dentist that really goes above and beyond to try help someone have a healthy mouth and smile. After the extensive work I had done Dr Montgomery not her staff called me at 8pm and left me the most beautiful message to check up on me. I cried because to me that's going above and beyond. When a person goes out of their way to help you when your a complete stranger makes me believe in miracles. It encourages me to believe that good people still exist. The rest of her staff is amazing. The dental assistant who assisted doc was just as sweet. I would NEVER go anywhere else. I wouldn't care if I need $100,000 worth the work done. Dr Montgomery gave me something my parents couldn't give me a beautiful healthy smile. I'm starting to learn how to love my smile that I really thought would NEVER happen. The prices are reasonable and they work with you on every level. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Please leave your dentist and appoint her as your dentist. You won't be disappointed.
