She kicked our dog out of boarding for "lunging at" another dog that she brought into the room without a slow introduction, expected us to pick her up immediately when we were on vacation, and refused to provide a refund for the night of care we didn't use. She kept our dog in a non-dog-proofed "she shed" by herself for several hours after the incident and was upset that our dog caused damage to that space. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect that a dog boarding business that cares for multiple dogs has a plan for when dogs don't get along, and that such a business should be able to handle incidents without expecting folks on vacation to drop everything to come get the dog.

I came to Seattle not knowing anything or anyone, and really feeling scared because I wanted to have someone that I can trust to take care of my furry pal. Having Nadine walk Nico has been not only beneficial for my dog to get out of the house during the day to go to the bathroom and walk around, but he is also gotten better at socialization with other dogs! Nadine cares about your dog, and having her services gives me so much security and a calm feeling, because I know that he will be okay and taken care of so well. I am honestly so grateful that I had Nadine to take care of Nico while I was at work. She leaves notes every day so that you can see how your dog did after work when you come home. A+++++! :) Thank you Nadine!

A few highlights of why I picked Evergreen Paws over other services in the area for my golden retriever Belle: - Same walker every session, which is a huge plus in terms of Belle getting to know the same person, and me being aware of who's coming in and out of my apartment. - Walk options; I'm a big fan of the 60-min trail walk, which really tires Belle out. They also have quick potty break options, shorter walks, and dog park trips. - Play time! Our walker brings her dog to walk Belle sometimes (okayed by us) - which is not only great outdoor time for Belle to walk with a buddy, but awesome socialization for her, too. - Easy to communicate with Marie & our walker; I love how easy the mobile app is to use. I use it all the time to communicate with our dog walker in case I left the lease in a weird spot in the apartment, or if there are maintenance people in our unit, etc. I've never waited longer than 30 minutes (or less!) without a response back. - Dog walk reports! This is my FAVORITE part. I get photos of Belle after her walk (literally what gets me through the work day!!!), as well as a report of where she got walked, if she pooped/peed/got a treat/ etc. It's a real peace of mind. THANK YOU THANK YOU! I don't know how life was before Marie & Kennedy. Two golden paws up!

Our experience at Metro Dog was deeply…read moreupsetting, and after several months of taking my dog here on and off (at times, every day) I can confidently say we will never return. Several times after attending daycare, my dog came home with issues that later turned into infections. Each time required a vet visit that cost us over $600. While I understand that things can happen in group-care environments, having this happen several times was alarming. What ultimately made the decision for us, though, was the staff interaction. On one pickup, an older woman who helped me was shockingly rude. When she brought my dog out, she handled him in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable: raising her voice, tugging harshly on his collar, and giving commands he was never trained to understand. Watching him shrink back and look terrified broke my heart. Over time, he began coming home withdrawn, low-energy, sick and just not his happy self. Almost every visit left us feeling uneasy, and it eventually became clear that this environment simply wasn't right for him or any dog. A former staff member who later met my partner even shared that the workplace was full of animosity and overworked employees, which unfortunately aligned with what we had observed. We've since switched to Rover as needed and have had a completely different experience: much happier dog, much better communication, and far less stress for everyone involved. There are countless options here in Seattle! I truly wish our experience at Metro Dog had been better, but for us it was consistently unpleasant. If you value your dog's comfort and emotional wellbeing, I'd recommend exploring other options.
