Heather is an absolute pro and so supremely calm, cool and collected that I wish she offered lessons. I previously had the pleasure of working with Heather in a high-stress environment, so when she made the transition into event planning, she was both my first call and first hire. I myself plan for a living and was excited to take on the task of planning my wedding for the first 90%, and hired Heather for "Day Of" coordinating. SIDE NOTE: "Day Of" services actually extend at least a month or more out, not just showing up on your wedding day and expecting things to happen cleanly. A month prior to my wedding, we met and I handed over my binder of vendors and meticulous details (including a diagram for decor because I'm an insane person). In that month before our nuptials, she called and confirmed all vendors and took those last few (totally daunting but obviously necessary) steps off my plate. She was also there during our rehearsal and made sure my party all walked down the isle at even intervals (WHY was that even something I was stressing about?!). When the big day finally came, I had literally no concerns. No catering questions, no parking questions... some of my family got lost and ended up coming a half hour late, and with Heather's deftness, she was able to stall and keep everyone happy as we delayed the ceremony's start time for them. Thanks to Heather, I was able to enjoy every amount of my wedding that I wanted to, from the planning process through the event itself. Everything was in my control when I wanted it to be, and out of my hands when I did not need it to be. Heather, I can not thank you enough and this review is wildly overdue. As weddings begin to take place under more traditional circumstances, you will not be disappointed to make Heather your first hire.

I met Heather at a LA Bridal Expo in late 2018. I had her super cute business cards/flyers and kept it until it was time to look for a planner. I started my hunt for a wedding planner in October 2019 (1 year before my original wedding date, 10/17/2020). I interviewed a few planners, but Heather stood out. We got coffee and talked for HOURS. I never met someone as Type A as I am - which was a requirement for me. We instantly clicked and I hired her immediately. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit and with so much uncertainty, Heather remained my constant. She continued to give me advice, guidance and updated me on the current restrictions on large gatherings/weddings. She let me know how a 2020 could still be beautiful, but she knew I couldn't have my "dream wedding" if we did it in 2020. So, we decided to postpone the wedding to October 2021. I really appreciated her transparency and honesty. I would rather have a planner who tells me how it is rather just telling me what I want to hear. That is Heather. She is 100% real and 100% honest but she always kept my best interests in mind. She always had an answer that was supported by experience, excellent suggestions, and the best advice. She fully supported my Beyoncé obsession and how I wanted to incorporate Beyoncé elements into my wedding. Fast forward to October 9, 2021 - the big day - Heather was my ROCK! She kept me cool, calm, and collected the entire time. My MOHs were able to communicate with her before and during the event. When things went wrong, she always had an alternative ready to go and it still looked beautiful. She was always accessible to me. She made sure everyone, and everything was in their place. She is literally my J. Lo from the Wedding Planner movie. I am so thankful that fate brought us two Type A's together to make something really beautiful. My dream wedding was executed because of Heather and her amazing team. Heather, there aren't enough words or ways to say thank you - but thank you! This was only the beginning, as there will be more events/celebrations coming your way. Fingers crossed the next one is a gender reveal or baby shower! I loved every minute working together. I am sad to see this 2-year wedding planning journey end and the excitement for the wedding starting to subside. But now, I can call you my lifelong friend, who just happens to plan amazing parties. Cheers to Heather, her team and Dearest and Darling! I am and always will be your biggest fan! Hire Heather and her team! You will not regret it!

One of the best decisions my husband and I made was hiring Heather as our wedding coordinator. I am a planner and I was, at first, bummed out when our venue told us it was a requirement to hire a "day of" coordinator. But believe me when I say..YOU NEED ONE. I was very picky about who we considered for a coordinator. For me, I wanted to hire someone who was calm, collected, organized, thoughtful, dependable, and transparent. I interviewed a couple people in LA and when I found Heather I knew she'd be the perfect fit. Heather has a couple different packages that you can choose from and we ended up going with the "month of" package. Heather sent us a binder ready to go for organizing our wedding details and contracts that came with a cute tote. We were so excited! Even before the 4 week point Heather was very communicative and helpful. She took the time to read our contracts, communicate with our vendors, and was really quick on her feet the day of for anything that may have come up unexpectedly. She brought an assistant the day of the wedding who helped me change dresses and was also ready to go/help when needed. I am sure there is more they did behind the scenes that I didn't even notice and I am so appreciative!! Anyway - I couldn't have done it without her. My wedding was a dream and it takes a team to make it happen. A million 'thanks you's' for Heather, I cannot recommend her more!!

Heather was God sent- we hired for the day but she really helped us through out our wedding planning up to 30 days out. Heather was highly organized and detailed about everything which really kept us in line because I'm the same type of planner myself. She knew the right questions to ask when we met on zoom or in person during the venue walk through. She understood our vision and executed it so well the day of our wedding! She's so easy going and transparent during the whole planning. Her assistant Jillian was so sweet and helpful the day of too. I can't imagine what Heather did behind the scenes the day of and just so grateful we found her! Wishing you much more success in the future Heather! Thank you for everything.

I had originally found a dance teacher through Groupon but the lesson was very random and didn't really have any choreography! So I was even MORE stressed after our first lesson as I felt I had learned nothing! I then assigned my fiancé to find a new dance teacher. Thankfully he found Elena who uses Lai lai dance studio which is walking distance from our apt in downtown Alhambra ! Her rates are the same as anywhere else (and she gives a discount if you buy a package of 3 or 5 etc) My fave thing about Elena is she immediately knew what we wanted. She listened to the song we chose thoroughly and asked us some questions to get to know us and she helped us choreograph a cute routine that went along with the song. Keep in mind we've only had one lesson but we've already learned about 1 min of our song!! Thankfully we want a short routine but she's really good at giving us ideas and getting our feedback about what we feel comfortable with and what we don't like so I really appreciate that!! She also doesn't pressure us to have a certain number of lessons. She understands that we're gonna busier as the wedding approaches! I really appreciated that. Anyways I would definitely recommend Elena to all my friends who need a dance teacher !! I'm excited for our second lesson!

TLDR: Improved technology, more modern look, still affordable…read more I had been meaning to check out this newly reopened bowling alley for a while now, so I'm glad I finally got to go! I'm not sure if it's being run by the same owner or if someone else took over, but the building looks much more modern now. It's a little bittersweet to see all the nostalgic pieces of my childhood gone, but it's hard to deny that it's for the best. Prices were still pretty affordable. The staff member let us know that there's a cheaper deal on weekdays, which is pretty normal for bowling alleys. There is clearly a lot more seating on the top floor. The addition of all the tables is really nice. I also noticed that they removed the extra TVs that used to either play ads or sports and stuff. They also got rid of all the pool tables that I never saw anyone use. The screens and control panels are all updated to this modern design too. Something else that was interesting was how the old bowling ball racks were moved to the side of the building to make room for bag hooks behind the people bowling. Although it's a good idea, it's kind of hard to watch your belongings when they're behind you like that, so it leaves your stuff kind of open for stealing. It's also easier to grab the bowling ball you need though because they're all in one place instead of spread across the whole building. The only thing that I kind of hate is the seating down by the alley. There's actually less seating down there with these standalone dining table sets replacing the old benches. Since our party arrived when there were many other people there, we only had one side of the lane while strangers were on the other side. It's just a little awkward to sit at a dining table with strangers like that. Not to mention, the seating arrangement left a lot of people standing and kind of made it hard to communicate with each other. In terms of bowling mechanics, I think the amount of time it takes for the bowling ball to return has been reduced significantly. I'm so glad we don't have to wait ages for the ball to return for the second throw! The machine also didn't seem to experience incorrect racking, which used to happen all the time here. Sadly, the screen does not tell you the mph your throw was at anymore. I always thought that was a very helpful feature, so it's a shame to see it go. Lastly, the floors seemed well cleaned and waxed. I didn't have to powder my shoes and felt like my bowling ball glided pretty smoothly down the alleyway. Overall, I think this bowling alley is nice. I'm glad to have an alley that's close to my house again!

I was there on time to all of them and they either left on time or a little later so not sure how you missed the boat unless you had the wrong time... haha I just think it's a cool different experience than the whole club scene which can get kind of old sometimes. This is pretty cool because you are out in the ocean on a boat listening to really good music and the entertainment is awesome as well. They have games (you're not required to play) but are really fun to watch as well as live dancers and entertainers. As for the person who lost their purse, word to the wise, don't take a purse with you or have it with you at all times. You can't trust anyone on a boat, club, restaurant, etc. It has nothing to do with the club owners, venue owners or restaurant owners. I've lost phones at music concerts and would never bad mouth the venues themselves or the bands. It's not their fault that I lost something... Anyway I thought that comment was kind of funny. I feel bad because I've lost stuff too but getting mad at the wrong people is lame. Anyway, back to my review, if you want to go out have fun and be around people who have good energy and are ready to party I would suggest checking out their next event! I'll be there fo sho!!!
