Kari and Pat Frey Designs curated, organized and designed my wedding last autumn at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. It was "enchanted forest amongst the dinosaurs" themed and had little nods to timeless films like Harry Potter, Edward Scissorhands, Jurassic Park, etc. Imagine a client telling you they want all that along with a tight budget and having to deal with very particular museum restrictions! Well, let me tell you... this team went above and beyond to accomplish this eccentric bride's dream wedding!! Take it from me, weddings can be super overwhelming for a bride. Like decisions of what color napkins look good on the sweetheart table to how they coordinate with the linens on the cocktail tables, to making sure all the build staff are on the same page behind the scenes, to paperwork and communicating with all the dozens of vendors. I could not imagine doing this by myself! My head would have exploded! Not only was the design and organizing aspect completely handled and managed by the team, Kari was my personal therapist through months of planning and dealing with typical wedding pressures. Kari is a powerful force who gets the job done. She will let you cry on her shoulder and she will step up for you if you need someone who can grab 'em by the balls! I recommend Kari and Pat completely and if I had to do it all over again, I would hire them again and again. I plan to hire them when we renew our vows in 10 years and I'm sure I'll come up with an even more elaborate theme for them to play with. Where do I even begin? The moment Pat took over our wedding everything seemed to make sense and fall into place. We were a covid wedding that needed to be rescheduled from 2020 to 2021 and Pat was beyond accommodating! We ended up changing 90% of the wedding and went with what I had envisioned. Pat Frey Designs helped me design and coordinate my wedding this past August in North Hollywood. It was such an incredible experience to work with them. The care and attention to detail was unlike any other and was so incredibly professional. They truly cared about what I wanted for my wedding. It was as if they took all of my visions, Pinterest boards and ideas and brought them to life. Not only did they design the wedding, they actually did all of the florals for it. So all bouquets, centerpieces, etc. This makes it so nice because you're working directly with the planner and designer of your wedding and not a third-party florist. The coordination and day-of planning went so smoothly. Literally not one thing went wrong on the day of the wedding (at least as far as I know, ha!). They made things run so smoothly and made it so I could just relax, enjoy every moment and not stress about anything. Everything that I wanted for my wedding was done. This was very important to me. The design and execution of all decor was flawless. It was EXACTLY what I pictured for my wedding. All of my guests were extremely impressed. PFD was able to execute an outstanding wedding on my tight budget. Don't get me wrong, we had to cut things. You always do on a wedding. However, Pat and her team made it so these items weren't even noticed as being gone and helped arrange the budget so every single item that I personally wanted for the wedding was still realized. It was like magic. I'm only including this in the review because I feel like a lot of brides end up getting talked into not having the wedding of their dreams because of budgets. But with PFD, this doesn't necessarily have to be the case because they are super smart about it! I loved working with their team. They're all so awesome and professional. She was so helpful in coming up with ideas and suggestions to go with the wedding theme & color scheme. She is super kind and professional. So glad I found her on Yelp and that my sister chose this company to help her create a dream wedding with beautiful floral decorations. All the guests complimented the centerpieces and decorations. I was soooo blown away by how gorgeous everything looked! Out of all the vendors they had for the wedding, Kari was literally THE BEST!! She was at the wedding venue early to set up, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. All the details of her hard work definitely showed in the final result of all the floral decor. We realized that we needed extra bouquets, so we requested them on very short notice and she was able to make it work. She saved us the trouble of getting it somewhere else and we were so grateful. Kari was also very flexible in working with my sister's budget. It's a bummer that there aren't more reviews on here. Kari and Pat Frey Designs definitely deserves more credit. Before we hired Kari, we've contacted several other florists to compare the customer service and pricing. Honestly, all the OTHER florists were super rude, unfriendly, and were firm with their pricing. I understand that flowers are not cheap, so high pricing is expected..but you can at least be nice over the phone to a potential customer. We were so turned off by the other florists, so we were really relieved, thankful, and lucky to have found Kari. She was sooo sweet from the beginning to the end. Pat did my wedding reception and I could not have been more pleased. She was so spot on with what details were going to be important vs not important, how to deal with it being a July reception that was outside and just really every other aspect of it. First, no one tells you how intricate and extensive wedding planning is, it is so much more than a big party and having a team to help guide you through the chaos is very helpful! I am giving Pat and Kari huge kudos for helping this farm girl create her dream wedding.
