Cindy's experience, consideration, professionalism, and honesty (this is a huge one) made what could have been a very stressful day into a stress-free day, or least as stress free as a wedding day can get it, haha. As the days approached the big day, we were already pretty happy with MLE, but once the big day came, they completely kicked it up into high gear. They were so seamless in working in the background to make everything come together with the vendors, timing, handling of guests, etc. We had a delay due to the florist, but they handled it so well that the guests couldn't tell, only we could, and even when we tried to get involved, MLE assured us that it was taken care of, and not to worry. They even went above and beyond in moving some flowers to be better positioned around our mirror guest list, which elevated how the florist had originally planned for. They were very considerate and thoughtful for us by making sure appetizers were set aside for us while we were taking pictures, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a big bowl of our seafood items sitting at our couples table, since we definitely didn't get a chance to get to it. Throughout the night, they made a point to bring us drinks, dessert, help with a small crisis on my mom's side. I really couldn't have imagined having a better coordinator the day of, I wish I had another big event to plan, because I would absolutely go back to them for their services. AND the amazing service doesn't even stop at the wedding day! Their follow up emails to reflect back on what went wrong or what went well shows how much they care about their work. They were very meticulous in addressing any concerns we had that happened on the big day and most importantly, they were honest. They were truthful about the reasons why some things didn't go as planned, and that to us is the most important trait in a coordinator that you can trust them. Once we officially engaged Peace & Pine, Cassidy shared a digital package of resources including a budget tracker, checklists with suggested timelines, and folders where we could collaborate and plan the whole wedding efficiently. We hired Peace & Pine very early on in our planning stages, so we did not officially begin working together for the better part of a year, but Cassidy would check in with us monthly to see how things were going - this was very appreciated! Once our contractual engagement began, Cassidy became our right hand person and a trusted advisor. Cassidy was incredibly generous with her time. We had conference calls and face-to-face meetings with our venue and she joined in for all of it. I decided that I needed a wedding coordinator a few months before my wedding because I couldn't bear the thought of (1) not being in control and (2) getting mad at my soon-to-be-husband for trying to coordinate when he has never once planned an event in his life. Cassidy is organized, helpful, and low-key (in the best way). She worked with my budget (very reasonable!), and once we determined my needs and wants, she shared a Google Drive folder like I couldn't believe. It included a budgeting spreadsheet, a to-do list based on the time left before your big day (she customizes this for YOU), and my favorite: a document with all vendor information as well as the schedule of events (it includes so much more, but I don't want to give it all away lol). Aside from the amazing Google Drive goodies, I was thankful for Cassidy's frequent reminders to not procrastinate -- I am terrible when it comes to planning things in my personal life, and she lovingly (and professionally) did not let me do this...and believe me, I tried. It's also helpful to note that Cassidy was there for my husband and me for two events: our secret elopement and our big wedding event. ELOPEMENT HIGHLIGHTS: - She got ordained so that she could officiate our elopement! - She gave us an excellent recommendation for where to obtain our marriage license (no wait at all!) - She camped out at our elopement site and was ready to "fight" another couple who tried to steal it from us (she's a great negotiator lol) - My husband and I didn't care to decorate for the elopement, but she brought candles and decorative crates anyway WEDDING DAY HIGHLIGHTS: - She organized and guided our wedding rehearsal which is helpful for anyone who has never been in a wedding before (including the bride and groom); my bridesmaids who have been in 3+ weddings said she was the most professional and experienced coordinator they had seen - She arrived early to the venue with her team, brought me Philz Coffee (seriously, Cassidy's the best), and worked quickly to set up everything - She checked in with me, the maid of honor, and best woman a few times throughout the morning/early afternoon to ensure we were on schedule - Throughout the evening (reception), she would check in with the groom and me to remind us of the small activities (cake cutting, tossing bouquet, speeches, etc.) and see what we wanted to do (or skip). She did this in the most non-intrusive way ever, and it was great. - Cassidy and her team worked with all my vendors behind the scenes and the day went as smoothly as it could because of her. - She also packed up all of our decor and put it away for us in the hotel MOST MEMORABLE HIGHLIGHT: This is hard for me to write about, but of all the things I was thankful for, Cassidy provided a questionnaire that asked about any challenging family dynamics that she (and possibly other vendors) might need to be aware of. While I wasn't too worried about family drama, I let her know about some tensions that made me uneasy, and she stored that knowledge away. Day of my wedding: my dad and brother were almost 30 minutes late. My bridal party and I were running late as it was, but as we lined up for the processional, she told me as gently as possible (after calling them a few times and checking in with my dad's brother)...but I still broke down. They showed up shortly after and Cassidy showed them to their seats, but she calmed me down. She gave me all the tissue in the world (and I think some for my maid of honor to hold on to), told my groom and I that we could take as much time as we needed before the ceremony, and reminded us that it was our event. Our day. She asked if we wanted to walk down the aisle together (instead of me by myself). We both loved that idea, and now when I look back, I wouldn't change it for anything. This review is for her wedding day (day-of) coordination. Prior to the wedding, Lauren had provided us a general outline of things to consider and specific items that would need to be completed by a certain time (unfortunately, my husband and I were completely terrible with these deadlines, but Lauren slowly worked on this with us.) Every time we spoke on the phone (on SEVERAL occasions), she would always ask us how we were feeling and soothe our nerves when it came down to all the details. I am all about customer service and Lauren could not have been more polite, sincere, and heart warming! Still not convinced? Let me be more concrete in the examples in which Lauren and her team handled well: - The Cake: Four Seasons agreed to do a dairy-free cake for us since my husband is allergic to dairy products; however, without dairy, the cake turned out to be a disaster. The cake had to be sent back to the pastry chef four times and almost collapsed at one point! Lauren went to bat for us! She immediately contacted the Four Seasons coordinator and straightened everything out! We got a cake, received our money back for the wedding cake and a huge apology from Four Seasons. Of course, this was all behind the scenes and Lauren told me as soon as we were done taking pictures and everything was solved! Let me say, I love how Lauren handled this situation because she made sure that the situation was under control before notifying me AND she did not keep me out of the loop (yes, I was one of those brides that wanted to know if a disaster happened). - Timing: Weddings go by so quickly, Lauren was on top of her game when it came to each minute and the timeline of our schedule! I love how organized she was when it came down to our schedule. - The Wedding Dress: My beautiful satin wedding dress was unfortunately wrinkled during transportation. Lauren and her team were trying to steam it out to no avail. With time running out, she immediately handled it with the hotel and had my dress pressed and steamed within 20 minutes. - Presence: Lauren had several people on her team. While Lauren was consistently running around, she made sure that one of her assistants was with me and my girls at all times. Yes, so many things did not go according to plan at our wedding and only people like Lauren would be able to transform all these disasters into a beautiful wedding. While my husband and I were on a very strict and limited budget, my only regret is that we did not hire Lauren as a full wedding coordinator. Thank you so much Divine Events! We hired Lauren for the day of wedding coordination package and were more than pleased with the services she and her team provided. My husband and I had nearly 300 friends and family members in attendance for our special day. We were married at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center's James Irvine garden. We had our reception in the courtyard in front of the Japanese American Theater. The JACCC provided a wedding coordinator, but we had personality conflicts with her. Lauren was amazing and was able to communicate with the on-site coordinator and our vendors to make sure that everything ran smoothly on our special day. Lauren met with us prior to the wedding to make sure that we knew what we needed to have done. She also communicated with our bridal party and families to make sure they also knew when and where they needed to be. Overall, if information was needed, Lauren made sure it was communicated and done so clearly. The night before the wedding, I slept easily, because I knew that we were in good hands. Upon arriving at the wedding site to get ready, I felt confident that our wedding day was going to be everything we hoped for and more. Lauren and her team made sure to take care of everything they said they would and calmly handled any problems. They handled them so well that even a year and a half later, I don't know if anything went wrong. I recommend Lauren and her team to anyone that I hear is getting married.
