I found out about this restaurant from Instagram!…read more This is my 5th time ordering from Birds! I usually cook dinner daily and eat out about twice a month. THIS IS MY GO TO RESTAURANT. There aren't many great restaurants on this end and Bird's kitchen by far the freshest, cleanest and has the best food quality. Plus, I can't say enough good things about their amazing customer service! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine care. My food is always hot. I had one minor inconvenience, and they made it right. Do yourself a favor, and support this black owned, lovely business. You won't be disappointed.

When I arrived I had a bit of a wait, which was to be expected, but Bird greeted me and explained that it would be a few minutes. It's a small waiting area, but a few people came in and out and all seemed to be regular customers. That's usually an indication that the food will be amazing. The saucy wings were sweet and spicy. Really nice flavor and perfectly cooked! The Thanksgiving turkey burger was unique and really flavorful, with the onions and peppers cooked in the patty and the cranberry topping. The fries may have been my favorite thing. They were fresh, hot, and delicious! The strawberry cheesecake looked too good not to get, and I'm happy I did! Peach lemonade was also a hit!

A Hidden Gem I never…read morewould have found Oasiz Bar & Grill if my aunt hadn't chosen it for her 60th birthday dinner. It's tucked away in an industrial area off Route 50, and unless you're looking for it, you'd probably never know it was there. We had a party of 12, and almost everyone in our group was visually impaired, including my mom. Dining out with a group like ours can sometimes be challenging, but the staff did a really nice job. As the only one at the table with 20/20 vision, I can honestly say they took the time to explain the menu, answer questions about the food and drinks, announce themselves when they approached the table, and help everyone through the payment process. Those extra touches meant a lot and made everyone feel comfortable. I ordered the wings and a drink, and my mom had wings, a salad, and a drink. Everything was fresh, the wings were cooked well, the drinks were good, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood feel. It isn't a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and somewhere I'd happily come back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service at the end of our meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but apparently his shift ended as soon as he took our orders. The manager and bartender stepped in and did the best they could, but with a large group that was mostly visually impaired, it made things a little more confusing than they needed to be, especially when it came time to sort out everyone's food and separate checks. No one was rude, and they worked hard to make it right, but I think management could have handled that transition a little better. Overall, I had a great experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was to our group. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.

Our waitress, Lydia, exhibit attentive and efficient service the entire night. She helped us with the menu, checked on us throughout the night, and refilled our drinks. She did this while serving the entire place. I would describe the service as empathetic and refreshing. Food: The wings here are really good. They are sizable and they don't hold back on the sauce. The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. It's a bar crowd, so expect some yelling and music, which fits the atmosphere. I like the decor, and the place smelled clean. I'd definitely come here to watch the game and have some wings.

I decided to stop in at Ghostburger for lunch to escape the crowds at the DC Convention Center…read moreduring the book festival and apparently Ghostburger didn't get the memo! They were seriously understaffed, and with a line out the door, the place was BUSY. That said, the staff was doing their best to keep up with the constant flow of customers. I was able to grab a table, and interestingly enough, ordering through DoorDash was much faster than ordering directly through the cashier. I ordered the Barbie Girl burger, which was pretty good overall, although it arrived a little soggy. The onion rings were definitely overcooked and greasy, but they still had decent flavor. Since I arrived around happy hour, I grabbed a glass of wine and enjoyed my lunch. Considering how slammed they were, the servers actually did a decent job. They were running around like crazy but remained friendly and attentive when they could. I definitely want to give Ghostburger another try when they're properly staffed and it's not quite as chaotic. I have a feeling the experience, and my burger, will be much better under normal circumstances! Worth another visit.

On a brioche roll that was so soft...veggies were fresh. Added some sweet potatoes fries...the only thing that was missing is a couple crisp pickle spears. Will definitely come back...(just not in a Friday night)....saw they had impossible burger on the menu so I'll have to come back and try that one of these days. And let me tell you- Club Auth Rd was jumping this evening....hahaaaa! The pizza place on the corner had a patio section that was given club DC in the early 2000's lol The parking lot was packed on a Friday night. We literally drove around the parking lot for 10 mins trying to find parking... Unfortunately the restaurant didn't allow call ahead orders soooooo.... I insisted we wait in out since we had already taken the ride... The hubs and I were definitely reminiscing about the good ol days...hahaaaa!!! Noted! Will not come back on a Friday night! The young lady who helped us was cheerful, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. I apologize that I forgot her name, but she definitely deserves recognition. The food was your typical quick burger-and-fries meal, but everything was hot and fresh. The restaurant was also clean, and the prices were noticeably lower than most places these days. My only suggestion would be to keep paper towels stocked in the restroom. Overall, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. I didn't take pictures we were starving!

I asked for her recommendations on the menu and to my surprise she suggested the Chopped Cheese. I definitely wanted to try to burger but always heard about Chopped Cheeae from New York. I can tell this place will be jumping when the weather gets nice as there is a coffee shop and a hot chicken spot inside this Halal food hall. There are also windows that open with better weather. The food was made to order. Freshness off the grill. The French fries were piping hot. The Chopped cheese was quite filling. The bread is super soft and delicious. The wagyu meat is delicious as well. I could really taste the flavor along with the cheese mixed in. The sauce adds a quality taste as well. I'm glad I did because the burgers were really good! Very tasty, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. I got a side of sweet potato fries, which were nice and crispy--definitely a good choice. I also really liked the little jalapeño and pepper bar where you can grab some extras to add to your burger. Their house drinks were surprisingly good too! I would definitely come back when I'm craving a quick burger. My only suggestion would be to add an extra patty if you're really hungry because the burgers aren't quite as big as something you'd get from Five Guys or, for anyone who remembers it, the old Fuddruckers lol. But nonetheless, everything was really good, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely a spot I'd pick up from again!
