I am disappointed with the recoating of my bathroom sink. There was a large crack in the sink that…read moreneeded repair. It was originally coated on May 15th and the crack was still quite noticeable. The patching compound was applied and it was immediately painted over. It looked good when initially done but then the paint just seeped into the compound and crack leaving it visible. There were also dimples in several places and the back of the sink was not really smooth, as well as the fact that the paint seeped onto the drain. I called and advised ProTech of the situation and all Omar (I believe that's the owner's name) kept telling me was that "it was not going to be perfect." I get that. I tried to tell him that I believed the reason the crack was still visible was the fact that the patching compound they used was not allowed to cure for 24 hours. He really didn't want to listen to what I had to say, but he did agree to have Matt come back the following Monday, May 19th, to touch things up. Again, the patching compound was applied but not left to cure for 24 hours. The sink was not touched or used since the repair on May 19th, so it was good and cured. When my sister came over on May 28th and went to look at how the sink turned out, she gently touched where the crack was and the it just cracked again! There are still some dimples and roughness which I understand, however, all-in-all, I am very disappointed in the outcome. The crack will just get worse again with use and I now have to get an entire new sink! I had high hopes, but this was a waste of $230! I doubt anything can be done to fix it at this point aside from some type of refund. I would not recommend this.
