We will be forever grateful to Dean and all the wonderful staff at Guaranteed Rate who worked tirelessly to help us refinance our mortgage during these difficult times of Covid. Since purchasing our home in 2002, and refinancing several times over the years with Guaranteed Rate, Dean and his team wasted no time getting to work to put together a loan option to best suit our needs, and they nailed it!! Great experience. We highly recommend this business to anyone--first time buyers, second home purchases, refinancing or anything in between. Thanks a million Guaranteed Rate! read more

Guaranteed Rate made buying a home very easy. The staff there is the most responsive I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Garrett is amazing. Chase is amazing. Justin is amazing. We are so happy with these folks and you will be as well! read more

Dean is very knowledgeable and professional. He's very flexible and willing to work with us. He explains hard-to-understand details in a calm and collected way, and is instrumental in making our home-buy experience a smooth process. Highly recommended. read more

Dean and his team are amazing. Our loan was on hold from another bank, and we only had 20 days from the closing date. Since Dean and his team took over, everything worked out so smoothly, and they helped us close on time! We could not get the best rate at the time due to our status, but Dean gave us the loan that can be refinance in 4 months. He followed up with us right before the refinance time, and helped us get a way better rate. Thank you so much. read more

Pretty useless. Came to him looking for a quick turnaround. He referred me to his assistant that was on vacation for a week. His automatic income verification system never worked. Could not be bothered to log into his own system and see the status of my application. read more

I have used Dean and his team several times now, and I feel confident giving them this glowing review. Dean helped us to buy our first home several years ago (no easy feat with all of our first time homebuyer questions!), then helped us to refinance, and finally just helped us to buy our new home. In the oh, seven years or so, that we've been working with Dean, he has been responsive and helpful throughout. I checked in with questions over the years as we planned our next move, and he was always there to provide guidance and help me to understand the process. Chance and the rest of the crew on his team are also outstanding - responsive and helpful. It is so great to know that you have them in your corner! read more

Dean and the team at Guaranteed Rate are the best in the business. We have purchased two homes with Guaranteed Rate and both experiences were remarkably smooth and easy. Seven years ago, we were first time home buyers and intimidated by the loan process. Dean, Chance and the rest of the team were clear and very organized about the information/documents they needed to obtain a fast pre-approval and subsequent loan funding for our house. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly pre-approval/approval and subsequent funding all happened. The Guaranteed Rate team was in constant communication with each other and the underwriters to ensure that no essential component was missing that could jeopardize a successful close. They were also in constant communication with us- answering emails after hours and weekends and making themselves available as necessary. Seven years later, we were on to our next home purchase and I was pleased to find out that Dean and Chance were still at the same company and still working together ( a sign of a healthy business). Both remembered us and quickly got to work on our new loan. This transaction was a bit more complicated, but simple for the Guaranteed Rate team. We needed some assistance from a bank for a portion of the transaction and because Guaranteed Rate is established, they were able to direct us to a team they closely work with which made all parts of the process much faster and free of complications. Again, all parties involved communicated constantly with fast response times. Also, the app used to compile the necessary documents is free of bugs and very simple to use. Guaranteed Rate is the only way to go! read more

Dean and his crew, Shaun Leonard to be exact, did an amazing job on my loan. The banks were beyond difficult and slow...and well...did I say slow. They navigated me through all of those waters with skill and grace. I would not go to anyone else. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dean and the whole Guaranteed Rate team. He was all the things you'd expect (responsive, clear, accountable) as well as a number of things you'd only hope for (friendly, calm demeanor and incredibly knowledgable in the jumbo space in particular). It was our first home purchase and we had a couple unconventional things that he was able to navigate and communicate with the lender without any problem. Basically, highest possible recommendation. read more

Dean Rizzi pulled off the impossible for us several years ago when we bought our first place (0% down on a live/work loft) - no one could believe it! It was just unheard of that those loans could happen - but he had no trouble with it and the loan wasn't an outrageous rate either. A few years later we re-fianced and again, the process was smooth and simple with Dean and his team. When we bought into a TIC, another broker was used and I regret not insisting they use Dean. Our process dragged out for six months and was a huge mess. Highly recommended! read more

We wouldn't work with anybody but Dean on our loans. We have purchased 3 homes and done multiple refinances with Dean over the last decade or so. Most recently, we purchased a home in the ultra-hot Cupertino market. Homes there are still getting from 5-20 offers, so it's important to be competitive on all aspects of the offer, not just price. On our recent offer, Dean was able to help us be competitive by committing to -- and delivering on -- very short timelines for removal of the financing contingency and closing. We've always been very happy with the rates he's able to get, and his team's customer service has always been fantastic. Their fees are clear, and they don't try to sell us different loans than we want. Dean's very accessible by email and phone, including outside normal business hours. The real estate business doesn't limit itself to weekday business hours, so it's great to be able to reach Dean at odd times if necessary -- e.g. for a pre-approval letter for an offer packet -- during the purchase process, too. By the way, Chance and Shawn, who work with him, are great. Everybody is very professional, knows their business in and out, and is very attentive to detail. These are not guys who will let something slip through the cracks. Our Realtor and our escrow agent during this most recent closing (who had not worked with Dean before) commented on how quick and professional Dean's team was, too. read more

Dean and his team at Guaranteed Rate are top notch. From the pre-approval process to close, Dean and his team provided attentive and prompt service, clear communication, and solid financial guidance. I highly recommend Dean and his team. read more

We recently purchased a home in San Francisco and got our loan through Dean Rizzi at Guaranteed Rate. The mortgage loan process can be very painful. I have to say, we had the best experience with Dean and his team. The application and approval process was so streamlined. They made it very easy to provide documents through their secured website. I love a paperless environment! Dean, Chance, Justin and the rest of the team was so professional and quick to respond to any and all questions we had. We had a 21 day close which can be very challenging. Dean and his team made it happen and we are so grateful! Loving our new place. Thank you! read more

Dean and the Guaranteed Rate team helped us purchase our first home. Dean was kind and helpful through the process, which was all new for us. The team was very responsive and provided documents quickly when we were making offers (other lenders we spoke with could not move as quickly to meet the needs of the SF market). Dean was able to match a lower rate and we closed in 16 days! The process was a little chaotic at times with many documents to read and sign on quick turnaround, but I put that on our aggressive closing timeline. We are very happy to work with Guaranteed Rate and would absolutely recommend Dean. read more

We were trying to take some equity out of our property that was in a trust that we had recently inherited and the traditional banks and other lending institutions wanted nothing to do with us. One call to Dean Rizzi and he was able to tell us exactly what he could do for us, how long it would take and what it would cost. Dean even recommended a wonderful attorney to help us with our estate. I highly recommend Dean Rizzi and his team at Guarantee Mortgage Corp, our loan was approved and we did not even have to jump through any hoops! Thank you Dean! read more

Being a San Francisco Realtor, I have the opportunity to witness many lenders first-hand while dealing with my buyer clients. Dean and his team were communicative, efficient, and dealt very professionally with challenges that sprang up unexpectedly. Perhaps my personal favorite trait is that Dean picks up his phone -- I rarely got voice mail! Kudos. read more

Dean and his group are first class professionals. Chance was efficient , responsive to all questions immediately with clear communication. Dean and Chance were truly amazing to work with. They were both quick to respond, professional and were confident in their approach. When it came to strategy, Dean worked with our realtor to create the best strategy when making offers. I would highly recommend Dean to anyone that needs a mortgage loan or refinancing, you won't be disappointed! read more

We had a complex loan situation requiring 85% financing with two separate loans in a new condo project. We just did it again with Dean and his team. He is now also part of a corporate structure that gives them a greater access to more lender choices for his clients. There is no one else that I would use. That said, there is a bit of a problem in general with every company I am working with these days, and that is a lack of thoroughness and professionalism from the frontline staff. I hope there will be a little more training done to encourage all employees to read emails thoroughly and not ask clients for the same item multiple times. read more

I had originally began my loan process with another lender, but I was unsatisfied with the poor quality service that I was receiving. My real estate agent sensed my frustrations and recommended that I reach out to Dean at Guaranteed Rate. BEST DECISION EVER. Dean and his team were so pleasant to work with. They answered all my calls and emails and made it very easy to have open communication throughout the entire process. Also, the secure web portal is a major plus! It is very user friendly and made it so easy to upload documents electronically versus fax/mail. Many thanks to Dean, Chance, Justin and the rest of the Guaranteed Rate team for their assistance with the purchase of my new home. I value good customer service, and this team did not fail me! read more

Dean & his team helped us with a recent San Francisco condo conversion refinance & we feel lucky to have found him! Professional, prompt & friendly service. They got us the best rate out there & were even able to lock our rate for 30 days longer then the other (highly rated) loan provider we were talking with. The notary that helped us sign our final paperwork was even impressed with how thorough our loan provider was. We'd highly recommend Dean & his team to anyone! read more

I have used several different mortgage brokers on several different transactions over the years. I would never, ever, use any of them again, except Dean Rizzi. In fact, now I would never use anyone else. So, Dean, you cannot retire until after I do. Dean did what other banks said could not be done. After getting a loan offer and rate lock on a refinance, I went to my own bank to see if they could match the deal. They told me the deal I had "could not be done". Well, it was done! By Dean and his team. They're sort of miracle workers who know what they're doing, follow through and keep you informed. They should be teaching customer service classes to others, but who has the time? read more

Dean Rizzi put together the initial funding package that allowed us to purchase a duplex in 2003. When one lender dropped out, he found us another. We refinanced several times with Dean. Dean was successful in persuading a prospective lender to remove two conditions that were deal-breakers from our perspective. Dean's team is thorough. They make the application process easy. Though Dean himself is incredibly busy, he makes himself available to discuss long and short term financial considerations. I'd recommend Dean for either residential or rental financing. We were recommended to Dean Rizzi's team at GuaranteedRate by our real estate agent, who in her many years working with him has had nothing but positive experiences with him. This was our first mortgage loan; we were apprehensive about the process. I left a message with Dean. He responded very quickly, and within about 10 minutes we had hashed out the contours of what the loan would be (this turned out to be accurate). The first step was to apply using the online system offered by GuaranteedRate. Online encryption is strong, so we felt comfortable submitting our financial information this way. It took no more than 2 hours to gather the necessary information as downloaded pdf's from various sources: bank statements, credit card statements, tax returns, etc. It was impressive. Within I think 2 days of having applied, Dean contacted us with a pre-approval offer. In our next step, we went shopping for homes. The San Francisco bay area is reportedly a strong seller's market. Consistent with this, our preferred home - a fixer with no available inspections - gathered several other offers that were, remarkably, contingency-free. We were not in a strong enough financial position to take this kind of risk, and had to negotiate hard for our offer to be accepted - with contingencies. We made it into contract but were set on a short leash: get the inspections and financing done in a much shorter period of time. Here, Dean's group shone. They quickly delivered our financing despite new regulatory requirements that our real estate agent has seen slow many other loans. It's difficult to overstate how responsive the team was during this process. We had exposed ourselves to some risk with a contract of this structure, and Dean smoothly got us over the finish line with what we consider to be good and fair loan terms. He even came in about $2000 under the original closing cost estimate. Just in time for Holidays. So, as is probably obvious, I strongly recommend contacting Dean regarding a home loan. read more
