    We called this company to come out to assess a resident's AC problem and give us an estimate to…read morerepair the issue. They gave us an initial quote that was $858 after the $109 diagnostic fee for a simple repair to replace a fan motor. The cost of the fan motor is about $90 and the labor to install it should take less than an hour. We were in the process of getting other estimates to find another, more affordable vendor, but this company just came back out without authorization and did the work. Then they invoiced us for over $1200 saying that they also replaced the thermostat. The system didn't need a thermostat as it was replaced just a week prior and was brand new. Then they took our new thermostat with them. When we told them they performed this work without approval or authorization, they essentially said that is too bad and you have to pay the bill. I asked for proof that they had authorization to proceed with repairs and they sent an invoice with a squiggly mark (see photo). We were trying to dispute this and see what we can do to get something worked out or come to a resonable agreement about what to do because they did do work, but we would have never agreed to their pricing. The owner just decides that he is going to file a mechanic's lien on the property and does nothing to try to make up for the issue forcing us to pay because our lender would have had a realy issue with a lien. Now we are probably going to take them to small claims court to get restitution. Beware of these guys.

    Avoid these guys unless you want a company that has no customer service . I called them and they…read morecame out within a few hours. I had an issue on the service call that was mis diagnosed . All the service guy wanted to do is sell me a new unit based on his diagnosis which was wrong. When I tried to reach out to the Tech by phone and text he would not answer. Then I tried to contacted his boss the owner by phone he also refused to return a call. The second company came out and replaced a $50 part and two weeks later the unit is working fine. The real issue is that somehow all the freon was gone and I had to recharge the unit at a cost of $425 for the Freon . No Idea how that happened but the Arctic air tech commented that is was a bit low on Freon but not completely gone. Bottom line is that is that the problem could have been fixed for less than $200 instead of $900. This could have been resolved by Arctic air but they would not return a call. Buyer Beware!

I have had this issue before and my husband was able to address this issue but my husband was traveling so I had to call someone to fix this. I actually made an appointment with a widely known company but they couldn't get to me for five days! It's in the 90s in Savannah!!! So I made the appt and then continued to look for someone to come out. I called another well known company to make an appointment to discuss the replacement of our unit as a whole because it was time. But I still needed someone to come out and fix my AC before I melted. Yes, thats when I got ahold of Arctic. Michael called me back and said " why yes ma'am I can come out. I can be there in an hour"!!! I was excited and already ready to call back first company to cancel appointment! Michael shows up and was a true friendly face to meet. He was knowledgeable, affable, polite and sincere. He saw the problem immediately, fixed it, schooled me a little on how to maintain it but then convinced me ( because of my experience and his professionalism) to cancel both other appointments and go with their family owned company to be who we go with to replace our AC unit. I am looking forward to my meeting with Rudy to discuss the unit we want to go with and schedule the install. They don't know this yet, but I have spoken with my downstairs neighbor who coincidentally was having issues with their AC too, who has already said he wants to replace his at the same time we do and have Arctic be his carrier. So just off my review of them to my friend they will have a two-fer here! And it goes without saying that we want to make sure that Michael is involved in the installation! With out a doubt, this is an excellent experience and I highly recommend Arctic for all your heating and cooling needs!
