The venue is relaxing and open. The staff are very friendly and ready to help. I also make this a stop to pick up spirits when in the area. We are fans of the Pear and blueberry vodka, I also have had several of the bourbons, the standard and a reserve that they bottled in 2024. The bourbons are good, but the Rye is one of the best I have had. Absolutely love the Rye. As I mentioned we make it a point to stop by when in the area and will continue to. This locally owned and operated distillery rivals the products made by the large producers. We recently stopped by and sampled their moonshines and whiskeys and were very pleased with the quality of their product. Hazard's make four flavors of 40 proof moonshine: peach, root beer, apple pie, and blackberry. All these had a nice balance between flavor, consistency, and alcohol levels. Hazard's moonshines are not syrupy sweet like some and go down very easy. We enjoyed all the flavors, with the peach and blackberry being our top two favorites. The whiskeys produced are sea-salt caramel, standard corn whiskey, and Blowtorch. The sea-salt caramel was a hit and we left with a bottle of it also. The standard corn whiskey appears to be popular, but not really an alcohol I drink. The Blowtorch brought on a sense of nostalgia, because it reminds me of the fireballs and red hot candy that I enjoyed as a kid. The tasting room is nicely decorated and staffed with members of the Hazard Family, who were very friendly, and contributed to the enjoyable time we had during our visit. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality and flavor of the moonshines and whiskeys and plan to make this our go to stop. Take the short drive from the highway and you will not be disappointed!

The burgers and tots were obviously cooked in one of those convection ovens. The food had some fresh ingredients ie. the mozzarella, but it could be better. I saw that they cut down their menu from their website which was a wise idea. They just need to crush the items they have. We ordered the nachos as and appetizer and the chips are made in house. Tried a vodka, rum, two whiskey, and two honey liquors. Half ounce pours each. Realized I'm just not a whiskey guy but one was super smooth. I did like the honey ones, though. After my set of six, I ended up getting a vodka mixed drink and also got a four-pack of of a vodka canned cocktail which is new for them this year, and they decided to go non-carbonated. I would have preferred it to be carbonated but you can just add seltzer. The place seats a couple dozen and they are included on a lot of bus/trolley tours (a lot of bridesmaids parties) so at times it can get loud and busy. If you are under the influence you will not be served. They have t-shirts, hoodies, glassware, and even sell some pieces of the barrels so you can make your own smoked drinks. I ended up spending about $50 for my tasting flight, cocktail, and a t-shirt. I wished they were allowed to sell some small bite foods. It would make this place even better.
