The salmon was decent but the cream sauce over the top was super salty and overcooked I believe because it was very dark. This was a carry out order so no details regarding service or restaurant interior. Edit: after viewing other photos of the same dish...cream sauce is definitely over cooked and burnt.

Cabbage, jerk chicken, plantains, cocktail beef patties & rasta pasta made for something everyone could eat. Guests were pleased and there was plenty to send relatives home with a plate. Not sure what the bathrooms are like, cus I stayed in the front. Only thing I didn't see, but might've been ok the menu was the Jamaican patty display. I ordered an oxtail plate with rice & peas, cabbage, & plantain. The rice & peas were kinda soft -- I prefer mine more stern. The plantains were a bit rubbery like they sat out for a lil while, the oxtails had a sweet flavor to it, but the cabbage was fresh. Portion size was decent. Got the large for $30+ & had left overs. I'd come back again, but would prolly stick to a small - which is $19 before taxes.

I looked it up on Yelp, looked at the pictures and reviews and headed out! There is no parking adjacent to the building but ample parking across the street. There is not just a seating area but it has a tv (outside!) and a bathroom. When I arrived, I was so concerned because it looked like this was just a walk-up window. But the owner put som much thought and care into customer comfort beyond getting an awesome meal. The menu had so much DELICIOSITY (yes, this place made this a word!) that my mind was overwhelmed. I came for the catfish but I read how good the hibachi plate was. It's obvious that I have to make some more visits. I got two plates this time: the seafood plate and. fried oyster plate. I was curious about the fried lobster. It is literally fried lobster bits in the tail. The shrimp tasted so fresh. Plus, there was a delicious surprise: I think it was a garlic parmesan sauce drizzled on the shrimp and fries. Next time Im getting this on the side because I want to control every place that it goes. At first, I planned to take the food with but after sitting and waiting, I decided to stay. The House of Payne was on. The owner came out and checked on us a few times. It cant wait to take my bestie here when she comes to visit from Dallas.
