This place was highly recommended by a Haitian man that I was speaking with earlier. He said this place has the BEST Haitian food around. I decided to give it a try and ordered the Stew Turkey with black rice and plantains (his recommendation). I also ordered curry chicken, rice and peas and plantains for my husband. The presentation of the food was lovely but the taste was just average to us. It wasn't bad but just didn't have enough flavor for us. A little bland.

I've been to this restaurant several times and am back again and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and authentic Haitian cuisine. My husband is Haitian and can vouch for the authenticity. The food is always fresh and I always end up taking some home because the portions are plentiful. Sonia, the owner, provides great customer service. There are 3 different rice choices but my favorite is the black rice. I highly recommend if you're looking for a great Caribean spot.

Today we decided to stop by a get some Haitian food. It took forever for us to order as the young lady was not familiar with the menu and had to ask about everything. We arrived at 6:15 pm and we did not get our order until 7:05 pm. There are no public restrooms so while you wait your 45 minutes plus for your food, I hope you don't have to go. I originally raved about this restaurant and how amazing the food is to any and everyone. After today, I will not say anything. I am not sure if they need help or what has happened but the food no longer has the layers of flavor that you come to expect with Haitian food. Even the griot tasted bland. How can griot taste bland? The rice was not very good. I hate that I am writing this bc I loved the food so much before. I am not sure what happened but we will not be coming back.

Wonderful find in Powder springs. I felt like I was back in South Florida . Missed Haitian food and good Kompa vibes. Great service.

I came here without reading the reviews because it has 4 stars (wonder how). I ordered Oxtail and Curry goat. Tasted the curry goat. I was hit with the greatest amount of SALT my body has ever consumed at a time. I tasted the oxtail and it tasted like soy sauce mixed with BBQ sauce. Took a bite of the beef patty and it tasted like butter, suet mixed with cardboard. This is literally the worst food I have spent my money on. Not only am I still hungry, I feel robbed and swindled. These people have a Jamaican food menu and not only does it not remotely taste Jamaican, it is not even editable. I typically don't leave restaurant reviews because I am honestly lazy but I don't think these folks should run a restaurant. You are WARNED!

Caribbean spice is a new Haitian spot in Marietta and I'm so glad it exists. Soo, the owner is the sweetest. I really loved her hospitality even though she was short staffed. Not going to lie, we waited a bit for our food, but the food is excellent. It's a buffet if you eat in and you get certain meats. I got the fried fish and griot. I love Haitian food so much and they got it right for sure. They also have fresh juices like passion fruit and mango. All of this is at such a reasonable price. The only con to this is that since it's really new, she doesn't have a set menu and I think there's a lot of stuff that she's still working out. But I gave five stars because the food is great and the hospitality is awesome. Even if there's some Haitian dish you want that's not on the menu, she is willing to make it for you if you call in advance. I will be back.

After trying to catch these folks open for business for the past 2 weeks - I finally decided to just make a special trip up there to get a menu or a phone number or something! The owner seemed friendly enough, but she said they didn't have any 'to go' menus yet. When I asked if I could just snap a pic of the regular dine-in menu, she didn't have any of those either. She gave me a postcard for the 'free tasting event' they did back on July 31(see pic), but a) the event was 2 weeks ago, b) there is no menu on it, c) the website listed is a dead / inactive site and d) it's missing a phone number (so she wrote the number on a scrap of paper). I was really left scratching my head as to why she gave me the postcard. Here's what I discovered: It's a buffet - and they're marketing it as a Creole - Caribbean fusion. The music was EXTREMELY loud. The music coupled with owner's accent made it a bit difficult to understand her. For instance, when I was asking about the menu, she said, "We wanted to wait to get everything perfect, but we don't really need menus. It's a buffet - so we will basically have the same things - like fried turkey, fried fish, grilled fish, vegetables and salad." And so I said, "Oh - the fried turkey sounds good!" And then she said, "We don't have that tonight." Lol. There were only 2 or 3 tables with 2 chairs a piece. And a few upholstered armchairs up front. So I'm thinking this is gonna be more of a takeaway spot. I can't give them 5 stars because: 1) I didn't have the opportunity to try the food. This is literally the first time I've ever ventured into a Caribbean restaurant and was not offered a sample. Lol. Maybe now that I've gotten so chubby, restaurateurs are afraid that I'm gonna be greedy and ask for a bunch of additional samples. LMBO. Or maybe I looked too 'broke' to afford the food. I did have on sweats, an old t-shirt and my hair was a bit shady looking. Lol. 2) The music was way too loud. It was too loud during our brief conversation - and it would make normal conversation nearly impossible if you were dining in. 3) When I asked about a menu, or social media page with a pic of the menu and mentioned that the website was down - the owner kept repeating that they were going to 'do all of that' - but wanted to get everything 'perfect' first. I don't think I'm in the minority when I say, in this day and age, if you're opening a restaurant or any business - at the very least you create some sort of web presence that says 'coming soon' - to give people an idea of what type of food you're offering, along with price points, etc. It doesn't have to be an actual website, but give us a Instagram, Facebook, something . . . How can people come out to support you if they don't know you're here?! :)That's actually why I created this entry - to give them some sort of web presence and a forum for others to give feedback. If I'd had a phone number for them - I would have been able to call in an order of something basic - and just swing by to pick up. Wrapping up - this really should be more of a 3 star review (A-OK); or 2 star review (I've experienced better - because of loud music, no contact info and no samples) review. But I don't think it would be cool to give them a 2 star rating without having tried the food. 4 stars means I'm a fan - and I'm a fan of all new businesses - especially privately owned, Mom & Pop businesses. Lol. I'll stop back in later this week to give them a try. And I'll update this review accordingly.

It was my first time here. I ordered the fried pork and rice and peas... delicious! I'm originally from Miami and the food (and music) reminded me of home. I'm glad I decided to stop by today. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

The service was great, she was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu providing us with great recommendations. We had a smattering of appetizers for the table. My favorite being the alligator which had a sweet Thai chili sauce on it which made it spicy and sweet. And the. For dinner I had the crawfish étouffée with dirty rice. It was really good, a bit spicy but overall really delicious. *please note that the menu changes every 3-6 months.

We ordered two appetizers, including the shrimp and crab fondue, and my son found a bug in the fondue. At that point, we immediately stopped eating. The manager came over, apologized, and said she would have another one prepared which we appreciated but we weren't sure if we even wanted it. We had to make a fast decision if we would leave or stay, but since it was Friday We honestly considered leaving, but we were starving and didn't feel like going somewhere else, so we stayed. However, after that, we were really surprised that there was very little follow-up from the manager, no effort from management the attempt to recover the experience. Our server, Skye, was very apologetic and did what she could, but overall the customer service from management was extremely disappointing. At Pappadeaux's price point, finding a bug in your food is already unacceptable, but the lack of proper service recovery made it worse. This should have been handled very differently, and quite frankly, the entire meal should have been compensated. What happened to making sure guests actually have a good dining experience? We chose not to escalate things in the moment, but I can say confidently that I will not be returning to this location. I would strongly encourage others to double-check their food.

Located in Vinings in a plaza packed with awesome retail shops and restaurants, I drove past the building at first but when I found it, the sign stuck out immediately. When I entered I was immediately welcomed by a giantttt Mardi Gras mask. Super cool but possibly frightening at night after a few hurricanes. I visited on a random afternoon but there were still a few guests seated at the bar and around the restaurant. Kareem was my server and he was such a joy. I didn't really know what to order because everything really sounded amazing. Thanks to Kareem's recommendations, I ended up going with the Oyster trio, the gumbo and beignet bites. My order came out about 15 minutes or so later, piping hot and super fresh. Everything looked amazingggg! The oysters were all delicious but the spicy one was my favorite. The crab-stuffed oyster was fullll of crab but almost too filling for me, I struggled to finish it. But if that's my only "complaint", I think that says a lot lol. The gumbo was good, not my top fave but definitely tasty. Those beignet bites???? I could eat 3 baskets a day, by myself. They were so fluffy, sweet, a bit crunchy, omg. Fantastic. This was such a great experience from start to finish, I can't wait to go back and try some more of their menu and check out their specials.

It started off great with the warm welcome and service so I was that much more excited. Our server was nice and friendly and patient as some of us were indecisive about what to order, it all looked and sounded good. The drinks came out first and they were actually pretty good. Then the appetizer, which was the crab dip. It was soupy and came with only a few pieces of bread, not much crab. Then the entrees, gumbo, stuffed salmon, Mardi grass pasta, catfish, dirty rice and oyster trio. All were too salty. I love salt so if im saying it was too salty it's really bad. Some of us couldn't finish the dishes because the salt was overbearing. Huge disappointment. To make things worse, our server disappeared several times, so much so we had to constantly ask someone to find him. He was sitting at another table socializing most of the time, which was odd and irritating. I was so over it I didn't even bother to order the dessert I wanted to try. It was not as crowded as I would expect it to be on a Friday night and how it appears on TikTok, so that should've been a sign. And the fact that a 20% gratuity is forced upon us even with mediocre service is also frustrating. And quite frankly the menu prices are too high for the quality and quantity of food.
