don't know if the store has recently been robbed but the shopping experience now feels very hostile. A lot of the employees delivery and tone is very rude and seems that they are irritated. I over heard the security shouting at someone going to the dressing room in the front of the store that she was only allowed to have 5 items. Tone and delivery sets the tone for a good shopping experience. I was looking for an employee to ask about the restroom. I approached a male worker and asked if the restroom was open. He very rudely said "we cant stop right now we have money" as he was following a female employee to the front. For 1 , he could have simply told me then and there that the restroom was out of service and secondly , him announcing loudly for the entire store to hear that they had money on them defeats the purpose of him following the other employee for "protective purposes". As I never got a clear answer about the restrooms , I proceeded to the front to ask if I could use the restroom or not. He then was able to tell me they were closed. The security in the front also talks about how she's close to being off and how her clock out time is approaching. Unprofessional. 2/23/21 Tuesday between 1:30-2pm I politely asked a floor stocker/young lady if there was a public restroom. She directed me to ask the security guard and mentioned that he will be able to have it opened. I went to ask the young Hispanic gentleman/security guard up front and he told me to walk up to the restroom and someone will open it for me. I walked back towards the restroom and waited. No one was there until someone walked right pass me. I politely said, "Excuse me?" hoping that she would turn around. No response from her whatsoever. She just kept walking and didn't even turn around and completely ignored me. She unlocks a door and swings the door open abruptly and she suddenly says, "WELL ARE YOU GOING TO USE IT OR NOT?!" Very rude. By far the rudest worker I've ever encountered. Bad attitude. She looked upset that she had to open it for me. The tone in which she said it was down right rude. I was shocked and surprised I had no clue she was the one that was going to open the restroom. Mind you, I was still standing like 20ft away in front of the fitting room while she hollerin at me. I say to her, "You didn't even say a word when I was speaking to you," she starts raising her voice and said, "THAT'S WHY THEY CALLED ME TO COME OPEN IT". I told her, "You walked right pass me, didn't say a word and completely ignored me. She unlocked a door that said "men" and I had no idea who she was or what she was doing, and I even told her this. Her and I were going at it back and forth and she was arguing back with me while we crossed paths. A verbal altercation. I told her in the end, "Have a blessed day" to kill her with kindness. Poor customer service. The worst. Tall black female named RHONDA. If you don't like your job then don't work there, don't be rude. I was completely polite and I didn't deserve that. It came out of nowhere and I was caught off guard by it. Right when I was coming out of the restroom I already saw that female talking to same security guard I know she was talking sh*t about me. Hands down I think this is one of my favorite DD's. Of nickname Deedee's the ugly step sister to Ross. You got to dig deep sometimes to find the gems that they have. They have something for everyone. You can find huge rugs for your living room at a discounted price. I've also found a beautiful straw summer bag from Nordstrom's. It's always good to check in because they always have different stuff for the greatest Price. I've even found good seasoning. All in all I love shopping at DD's. read more

This is the first DD's Discounts I've been too, people have recommend these stores for how affordable clothes are. Glad I got around to checking this place out, there are absolutely correct. The store is similar to Ross which I'm more familiar with. There is a larger selection of clothing and accessories for women than men and children, there is even a cute baby section that would make good baby shower gifts. Then there are items for the home but I would probably just shop here for clothes only. The store looked organized, nothing was on the floor to trip people clothes stayed neatly on their hangers and weren't strewn about. The only problem I had was the shoe section, very unorganized. I found 7.5 size shoes in the size 9, and size 9 shoes in the size 6 section and vice versa! Now I know that 9 and 6 are similar looking flipped around, but FYI shoes are imprinted with a little line under the number to even help differentiate the two. Even if that is too difficult just look at the size of the other shoes on the shelf if doesn't look around the same size, it's probably not the same size! Sheesh, it's like the numbering on the aisles was just for decoration. The prices here was lower than any where else I could think of other than Santee Alley in DTLA. The deals I found on items was about 20-30% cheaper than what I would usually pay even at Ross. Just be prepared to spend some time to search a little. There is street parking out front, but just go straight to the lot out back because the entrance is on that side. The employees here are very helpful and nice, the lady manning the dressing room area especially. Would highly recommend this location, don't know about the others yet. read more

DD is a hit or miss. Sometimes you find adorable items such as purses, backpack, shoes, toys, clothes etc. Every time I go I usually find something I like. The one thing I do not like is the customer service. I'm big on customer service. The lost and prevention crew usually follows me around making me feel uneasy. At time of check out their is only one cashier and when I finally get a change to go up to the register the cashier is calling the next person before I even finish paying. Awful experience today! Came in to return some items and BIANCA who attended me was everything but nice. I came in without a receipt and I understand that could be frustrating. I did not deserve her attitude though , she unkindly spitted out " YOU NEED AND ID". She did not even smile for once or said it in a kind gesture. While trying to make a return at this location, an employee by the name of Aaron helped me out around 2:36pm. He informed me of a new policy where they no longer return your money but give store credit. Frustrated by that, but fine. Give me the credit and I won't spend further with the company. I am giving the store two stars only for the fact that their return policy is misleading and incorrect. I shop here all of the time. I furnished almost half of my home here. And I will continue to shop here. But they need to be very clear about their return and exchange policy. I purchased a bra, and I did not have a receipt. I wanted an exchange. The cashier told me that I could not exchange any lingerie without a receipt. Even if the tickets were attached. I said OK fine I still made a purchase and left. I am now reading the return policy on the receipt and nowhere does it state that. It says that the return of swimwear and lingerie must have original ticket attached. And the cashier acknowledge to me that your items do have the tickets attached but because it's lingerie I can't except the return or exchange. So therefore they need to have that printed out on the return policy, which they do not. read more

This is by far the biggest and most organized DD's I have been to. I've checked out the one in Carson, Compton, South Gate, and all the way in Vista/Escondido and I was truly impressed on how nice this location looked, Just because it's a discount store does not mean it has to look like a tornado hit. The clothes were all organized by size, style, and color so it was easy to look through racks. They even have security at the door...let's face it, it's Inglewood...I don't blame them. DD's, Ross, and Marshall's are sister stores and as much as I do love Ross, they tend to be chaotic, unorganized, and just a tad bit more pricey than DD's. DD's has awesome name brand merchandise that is very affordable. I buy most of my jeans there and I usually pay between $10-$18 for some South Pole, Rockawear, Baby Phat, and other designer names. They also have a great selection of purses, luggage, shoes, home decor, kitchen, bedding, kids clothes and toys, plus random finds that are useful. I'm a DD's regular and this is going to be my location of choice from now on! :) The only thing...customer service needs to improve. The cleanliness in this store is average. Not everything is where it's suppose to be, which makes shopping frustrating from a customers point of view. When purchasing, I HATE it when the cashier calls the next customer over in the middle of my transaction. This is a consistent pattern every time. And to not hand me my receipt in hand or place it in my bag is another form of annoyance. I have to grab my own receipt? What if a customer forgets? This is part of completing a transaction with a customer. It's a simple kind gesture to do, to place the receipt in the bag or hand. Less than 1 star for this Inglewood location on Market Street. The store shelves are extremely poorly stocked, the purse racks are so empty it's ridiculous. The store us a mess, the store is under staffed and the employees that are there act as if they unhappy working there. Now let's take about the "LOSS PREVENTION" ( fake a** security) personnel, after telling the cashier that there was a security tag on one of my items the security machine went off. After the tag and all my goods were taken out of the bag and checked the machine went off again and the fake a** security named Brooks accused me of having something in my purse. After telling him that I had enough money to buy whatever I wanted in the store including his a** it was proven that I didn't have anything in my purse once I walked out the store without setting off the alarm. This place is a deal gold mine! I thought it was like a crappy 99 cent store Sono j vet went in before my friend told me about it. It's just like a Ross or TJmax by WAAAYY cheaper.
