I came here with my mom to get a set of nails, and they were being very rude and they couldn't do the nails i wanted and at first i just wanted blue nails with hearts but they said they couldn't draw hearts for some reason!? And instead i got a french tip and when they were doing my moms nails they were extremely uneven. The nails they did looks like they didn't go to school for it, after they were done i looked in my nails and found a hair under my nail and i couldn't get it out. I am obviously not a hand model, but I am someone with ADHD and autism, so sensory experiences can be either wonderful or horrible for me. I went in on a Wednesday at 350pm and they were wonderful. At 12 weeks pregnant the pedicure was one of the best I've ever had and MELTED away some chronic pain I've been struggling with. My nails were done so beautifully, and she checked with me at every step! With my mental health that was SUCH a good feeling to know she cared about how I liked them. I moved to Idaho from Arizona three years ago and had yet to find a place like my favorite one I went to for years back there. Stepping in here felt like I was right back there, soothing atmosphere, kind and warm hearted nail techs, just an overall phenomenal experience! I also usually struggle with nail pain the day after a new full set, NO PAIN AT ALL. They were so gentle but quick and not in a 'make you feel rushed' but you get the full two hours you booked for a deluxe treatment and it feels like 30 min because you're so relaxed. Came in on a Tuesday around 3pm for a pedicure. No appointment because the door said "Walk-ins Welcome". The place was empty. Not even an employee. Then a man came in from the parking lot and helped me. I now know why they were no customers there. The pedicure itself was ok. But due to the language barrier, I apparently agreed to my toenails being cut uncomfortably short. The nail polish that I picked out from the stacks of painted samples apparently was a gel polish so he went with what he thought was the closest. It turned out to be neon pink. Not the soft orangish pink I pointed out. Other than the short toenails, the pedicure was fine. The shop itself left a lot to be desired. After I was seated another man came in from the parking lot and then proceeded to lay down on a couple of chairs and started snoring. A bit later another couple of employees (?) came in through the back and just sat in the massage chairs while glued to their phone screens. No one was friendly in this place. Once I was done I was moved over to sit under the fan so the sleeping guy had to move. And then I had to ask for someone to take my payment. Sorry, no tip for this experience. For all the sitting around you'd think there was nothing for anyone to do here. However, there were used tissues and a half-empty water bottle on the little area where you pay. The massage chairs looked and felt completely worn down and the floor hadn't been swept in a while. I've learned my lesson. There is a reason good places recommend an appointment. I never write a review without going to the establishment several times. My one negative is that I did try and walk in twice, but they had a 30 minute wait and I didn't stick around and wait. I went for a pedicure on a Thursday around noon, I did call ahead of time to make sure they could get me in. I loved my pedicure. The gentleman took his time, did a great job cleaning and prepping my feet, cleaning the cuticles, did a great massage and took his time painting my nails. 100 percent satisfied. It was awesome. She did a great job. Way to go! He did my nails. Very fast. Too fast. I asked for rounded, he gave me square. I asked for rounded again, he kind of rounded the square tips. He squirted some lotion in my hands on top of the dust/fillings and told me to rub it it and I was done. If he slowed down, touched/trimmed my cuticles, round my nails as requested, let me wash before he lotioned/rubbed my hands... it would have been great. He was a really nice guy. In Nampa visiting my sister, drove by DD nails and decided to try them out. I'm very impressed, they we're friendly and did a great job! We both had pedicures with polish. I added a flower and my sister got the French manicure polish. Besides great service, they also had popular music videos playing on large tv's and nice massage chairs. If I could give zero stars I would. I came in for a fill about two weeks ago. The guy who did it (Henry) wasn't very good at it but I paid, tipped and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I walked in today for a pedicure. He was doing an older ladies nails and one of the young girls sat me in a chair with my feet soaking in lukewarm water. No big deal, I get it they were busy. The woman got done and asked how much it was for her color change. He said it's $20.00. He went on an on belittling her to everyone in the nail salon. She said are you talking to me or everyone else? Let's look at the facts. This place is clean and that's the most important to me hygienic place is a must. I've been to nail salons in several states and cities. Including LA and small cities. For Nampa this is a nice nail and relaxing salon, it isn't fancy it's basic which is fine with me. The owner Tony is great. His staff are kind. Like many nail salons the ladies will talk among themselves but also with you. If you engage them in conversation they chat. Reminder many people like to get on the massage chair (theirs are amazing!) put their feet in the bath and relax; not talk just chill. That is what I do. I need this as a rejuvenate time. That's what I get when I go to DD Nails. It's great. So... The color selection is huge. They offer mani/pedi packages to get or the basics. My mom has gone here for years now. I went for first time with her for my pre wedding prep. I picked pedi with Arizona Sunset as my color choice. I loved the service, the results and the color. I'm very sensitive due to FMS and Lyme Disease and the person helping me did not hurt me once! I recommend for a relaxed atmosphere. read more

The language barrier was difficult. I had photographs of what I wanted done, so there should have been no reason or excuse. I had a full pedicure (quoted at $55) and a full set. The nails were SO thin, crooked and lumpy I was appalled. The color I chose was not available. The second color I chose was not available. The third color they said they had, but on my nails it was clearly not the right color. Two days after having them put on, the nails popped off. The most horrifying part was that my full pedicure and full manicure came to $240. When I asked for a detailed explanation for such high charges, they started talking among each other in some language (Cantonese?) and said, "You pay!" I will be calling my credit card company and disputing charges. I have no problem paying the rates that were quoted, even if I didn't like the work. But it should have been no more than $100, not $240. Go someplace that knows that they're doing and doesn't try to rob you. read more

She was understanding and fixed my nails with no problem. Overall I would say schedule an appointment. They staff is not big enough for a walk in on a Friday. I was a walk-in for a regular manicure. No color, basically nothing but a nail and cuticle trim. Wasn't super impressed with honestly anything about this place. Usually I pay about 10 in Meridian for this. Ended up paying $17 here. Like I said wasn't impressed with any of it. Not sure if it was an off day but they weren't very friendly when I went. THEY DON'T STERILIZE THE EQUIPMENT!!! They did a horrible job!! I had dip powder that I wanted removed and then just regular nail polish put on. I told them this at least twice before they even started but then gave me the colors of dip powder for me to choose from. I told them multiple times again that I just wanted regular polish and they pointed to gel polish for me to look at. I had someone with me who finally found the regular polish and found a color for me. They used their tool to file off the top layer of the dip powder like normal and then had me soak my fingers in acetone. When I took my fingers out, they kind of wiped off some of the dip powder but didn't put any effort on it before getting their tool out to file off the rest. It could have been taken off by actually putting some effort into removing it like you do with normal polish. I had a little bit of the dip powder that got on my hand when he was taking it off and he just started to file it off my skin with a regular file and then used the side of another file to scrape it off. Then he did use the polish I had for him to use but you could see the lines where he filed my nail. Within 12 hours the polish was wearing off the tips of my nails and chipping in some places. They did a horrible job and it was so hard to communicate with them. I will NEVER go back!! read more

I have been here before and I loved how they did my nails the first time. I came back again the other day and idk if it's new staff or what, but the experience this time around was not it :/. The man who did my nails was using his own fingernail to push back my cuticles. It was very unsanitary and so strange! He burned me when filing my nails as well and after applying the acrylic, it stung my fingers really bad. After the application, when he started painting, he just couldn't get the design correctly. I just asked for a French tip but rounded, and he couldn't do it. I wouldn't feel so weird and frustrated about the experience, but I showed him the design I wanted before he even started on my nails! It's okay if he couldn't do the design, I would have waited for another person who was able to do it to help. The whole experience was just very strange and I left feeling odd. Called to see if they do acrylic nails and asked for the price to have a pink and white backfill done. They quoted $17. I told them I wanted the type with the powder and monomer just to make sure they understood what I wanted done. Upon arrival they said it would be $37. Then after the nail tech had filed down the length on all 10 nails he said it would be $45 because the pink I have on my nails was different than their pink powder. I was done. I said no thank you and left after my daughter's gel nails were done. They charged $15 to put a couple coats of gel on my daughter's nails. No cuticle care or anything. Was not impressed. Their flexible schedule works perfect for my busy schedule because i can get my nails done if I get a work break. I've gotten my nails done for years and I've been to multiple salons in the valley and this is one of the best! I've been here a few times now since they just open and I am not exaggerating when I say ive gotten some of the best nail services here! **ZERO STARS for this CHOP SHOP** I did have what I considered to be a few good interactions at this establishment and while the service was typically less that desirable I continued to visit due to location and walk in convenience. I would describe the quality of work during my first few visits as good but nothing more. On 5/31/18 I arrived at opening in hopes to have little wait and a quick manicure and full nail set. A female who I perceived to be in a leadership role (she calls the shots) began my full set right away. I expressed the importance of shape I was looking to achieve and showed her a photo. There is a definite language barrier and I did not wish to be misunderstood. Approximately half way through my full set a walk in client arrived. At this time, I was asked to relocate to a pedi chair for my pedicure so she could begin the other clients fill. This was off putting but I obliged and moved as requested. An older short male who speaks no English did my pedicure. I had a few concerns about the pedicure but no means to address them due to the language barrier. At this time I realized I'd been there nearly two hours and started to get anxious as I'd deliberately arrived prior to opening to ensure a quick service as I had other obligations. I mentioned to the nail tech who was working on my nails I was getting concerned and she snidely said "you finish there!" Once my wonky pedicure was done she relocated the fill she was working on and half heartedly completed filing my nails. When she relocated me she hadn't finished shaping my nails. I expressed concern for the shape and quality at this time, reluctantly paid her and she told me to come back later and she would fix. I didn't have much of a choice given my schedule but did feel very rushed out so she could continue the new business coming in. Certainly a quantity over quality approach here. Upon my return much later in the day. She greeted me and acted as though she didn't know who I was. I reminded her she was to fix my nails and at this time I told her I wanted to discuss my toe nail paint with her as well. I got eye rolls and was told to sit and wait. I was treated like a complete imposition but I quietly waited for approx. 30 minutes until she could create some time for me. See, as long as there is an open pedi chair they will seat clients regardless of whether or not they actual have realistic time to serve them. When she finally made her way to me I showed her my nails and she grinned like I was a complete annoyance. She began filing and I started to address my concerns related to my pedicure. She cut me off and said, "later! we will talk about toes later!". I let her take a look at my nails and she appeared to be only fixing one of them before trying to shew me off to the pedi chair once again. I said what about this nail and this issue etc. She grew increasingly irritated. By the time she again asked me to relocate to the pedi chair my acrylic was so thick it looked like I had bubble gum stuck to several of my nails. I was having trouble being patient at this point so I let her know very directly I could not leave with my nails in that condition. She again pointed to the pedi chair. At this time I approached another female employee who speaks a bit more English and shared my concerns with her. When she looked at my finger nails she got big eyed and said, "oh no, we fix for you". This does not even began to address the color issue which was suppose to be a pink/white ombre. I did not get a pink/white ombre!!! The male who did my pedi earlier started fumbling aroung with my toes and speaking loudly in Vietnamese (clearly he was talking about me...awkward!) He basically threw a fit while he fixed my paint issues then flipped the arm of my chair up as though it was time for me to leave. I sat there for a few minutes waiting again to be redirected. When I was not redirected I asked the other employee who was going to fix my nails. At this point, the shot caller nail tech who did my nails started screaming at me and pointing at the door. They flung my money at me and she continued to scream to leave and point at the door. In closing, I will not return nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone. There is certainly not a communication issue when they are telling you " Five dollars more". Wait, five dollars more to cut my cuticles...isn't that supposed to come with a full set?!? Not only is the quality ridiculous but the service is unbelievable poor. They may get ones service for a few simple visits but at the first sign of issue there concern is most certainly not repair and/or customer retention. I spent approx. 5 hours at this establishment and still did not have my nails fixed! read more

DD nails always does my pedicure very nicely I've never been unhappy with my service. Today I got a light pink and the second coat was still transparent and my tech put a third coat on without any fuss from me! I didn't say anything and most quick techs wouldn't care to take the extra time to make it perfect. I love that I never have to worry about my polish being see through. They're thorough but quick. I feel like I'm never rushed. It's a decent price for a regular pedicure and you can always add on specialties when you need pampering. I love that the basic pedicure comes with a scrub a decent massage and a hot towel. The massage chairs are adjustable too! They have so many colors to choose from I never have to worry about them not having the shade I like. read more

My grandma took me to get my nails done so I got a 40 dollar full set. They're pretty but they are so unsanitary. They use used nail files. That isn't even the worst part. When she was drilling she drilled all the way through my nail and cut me. There was so much blood. (But continued to proceed with the manicure). So my thought process is: If they cut me, how many other people have they cut? Oh yeah, did I mention they use used nail files? Sooo hopefully I don't get AIDS. There was also no discount whatsoever for injuring me, soooo if you like paying 40 dollars to get injured, this would be the place. read more

Sadly their pedicures do not last. They feel great. They spend a long time scrubbing and rubbing your legs and feet. However, within 1 day my polish was chipped, and within 3 days most of the polish was gone. I expect $35 to go much longer than a couple of days. Most pedicures I have gotten have lasted 3/4 weeks. read more

I stopped here because my regular nail place was booked for the day. The staff was nice but it seemed like they were in a hurry. It was towards the end of the day but they didn't close for over an hour. Basically everything was rushed. It wasn't enjoyable at all, and I did not get a hand massage with my manicure. The next day the polish on my nails complete chipped off my right hand and partially chipped off the left. My toes also started to chip. Normally regular polish lasts me more than a week. I would not go to this place again. There are better nail salons out there. read more

I decided to try DD Nails because they're close to our home, and I had been considering them for awhile. They are new (3 months) but totally experienced. I had a mani/pedi with gel mani. They are the BEST! They did an excellent job, and took time to do everything right, so I didn't feel like I was rushed in and out. Got a wonderful foot, leg, and hand massage, and my nails just look terrific. And they are all so friendly! The salon is CLEAN which has become more and more important to me, as it seems so many of the nail places just aren't sanitary! Dust everywhere, old faded towels, "massage" chairs that feel like jack hammers, and dingy-looking foot baths and instruments. I highly recommend DD Nails! Will definitely be going back. It was easy to make an appointment. I had a wonderful pedicure with a nice deep tissue foot massage, followed by a very professional manicure. The lady that did the manicure caught that one of my nails was turning yellow under the gel coating and made sure to remove it and fix the issue before is turned into a fungus. I wanted her to try a 2 tone layer color, she was nice and did what I asked on one nail so we could see how it would look all done up. Turned out it was very cute and I am happy with the results. Had a great experience with my pedicure! I upgraded to the deluxe and don't regret it. The citrus scrub smells like an orange cream bar! My feet still have a few rough spots but they are a whole lot better than they were! The gentleman who did my pedicure was polite and made conversation, which was nice.
