Nice place for lunch, they try really hard and the server Daniel is amazing. Food is good as well Suggestions: coffee shouldn't be $7, maybe add discount for building employees? Also desserts would be nice to have as well or something to go with the coffee

Turkey Sandwich (focaccia bread, avocado, tomato, caramelized onions, artisan lettuce).

Like "let's take pictures before we eat because this patio belongs in a lifestyle magazine" gorgeous. Las Olas energy at its finest. The outdoor seating is fantastic, the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy, and honestly, the food was outstanding. Which is why this hurts. We came for Mother's Day brunch and intentionally avoided rushing over for happy hour pricing because we wanted a relaxed meal. Adult decision. Responsible. Mature. Mistake number one apparently. Started with the charred corn and avocado dip and I need whoever created that dish to be recognized with some sort of civic award. Ridiculously good. One of those appetizers where you immediately start calculating whether licking the bowl in public is socially acceptable. Then came the steak and eggs discussion. My wife and I were both looking at the steak and eggs listed on the menu for $26.75. Our waiter explained that the standard steak was only four ounces and casually suggested upgrading to a six ounce or eight ounce cut instead. Now listen carefully because this is where the plot twists into a financial thriller. At no point during this conversation was pricing for the upgrade mentioned. And shame on me for not asking. That part is absolutely on me. But the suggestion was delivered with the same casual energy as "would you like fries with that?" So I upgraded to the eight ounce. My wife went with the six ounce. She also had a margarita she loved. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed and, as it turns out, accidentally entering a luxury cattle futures market. Then the handheld payment machine arrived. $175. I stared at that screen like it had just informed me my mortgage was due immediately. Turns out those extra six ounces of sirloin between the two plates carried an upcharge that could finance a small fishing boat. Roughly ten dollars an ounce for the upgrade. Somewhere, a Wagyu cow laughed at me from a distance. And look, before anybody jumps in, yes... I should have asked. Lesson learned. But restaurants also know exactly what they're doing when upgrade pricing gets floated around casually without numbers attached. There's a difference between upselling and a sneak attack. Which makes this review frustrating because I genuinely loved almost everything else. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was fantastic. Service was friendly. But nothing tanks the ending of a brunch quite like feeling blindsided by steak math. Pro tip for future diners: If they suggest the upgraded steak, ask the price immediately. Ask twice. Possibly get it notarized. Three stars because I really do want to come back someday. But right now I still feel like I got hit with a reverse happy hour.

We opted to sit outside, since it is waterfront and even though it was a hot summer day, it was surprisingly manageable since our covered table made all the difference while we enjoyed the stunning waterfront views. We kicked things off with cocktails, and some wine and the Sun Kissed Cocktail was an excellent choice. Not only was it delicious and refreshing, but the presentation was absolutely stunning . a real rose embedded inside an ice cube. It was almost too beautiful to drink... almost. For appetizers, we went with the Tropical Ceviche and the Tuna Tacos, and both were incredible. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and I loved the mango touch that both dishes shared as it added the perfect tropical sweetness. Then came the entrees, we shared the Shoyu Glazed Sea Bass served with a rice pilaf, edamame purée, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms, this fish was literally melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We also shared the Lobster Diavolo Pasta which was equally impressive and packed with generous chunks of lobster throughout the pasta, plus a whole small lobster to crack into. And then there were the side of Brussels Sprouts ... honestly, I never thought I'd be raving about a side dish, but here we are. Served shredded rather than whole, and tossed in the most incredible sauce, these were hands down some of the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had in my life. A must-order. Boatyard exceeded every expectation. The food, the atmosphere, the presentation .. all top tier. My cousin picked a winner, and we'll absolutely be back!

Our server (Daniel? Can't remember unfortunately) was great - he took photos of us when we asked, using our phone and our instax Polaroid which was so sweet, even pulled a sharpie out of his pocket so i could write the place and date on them. i love the way the staff work together as a team, one person might take your order, someone else delivers the food/checks in on you, etc. - we never had to wait long when we needed something. I loved the artichoke appetizer - unique way of serving them and the cream sauce was delicious. I ordered the full snapper it was so good, perfectly golden crispy on the outside and tender meat on the inside. I would have loved the option to pair it with something besides rice but the dill rice itself was really good. Mostly the sides are à la carte. The bolognese was also delicious, as was the swordfish. The bread is also sweet and delicious, used to be free, now it's $8 for a tiny loaf. Overpriced for some bread. The full snapper was $59, most entrees are 40-50. I guess you also pay for the setting and view. Good experience overall, this was my second time at boatyard and I'm sure I'll be back again.

We were also there for live music, which just added to the overall experience. We had Grace as our server, who also really added to the entire experience. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and about allergies - my friend is allergic to wheat, so she was really careful to inform us about areas where they used the same fryer for items. She really embodied a spirit of great hospitality throughout our time there. The food was also DELICIOUS. We started with the Brussels sprouts which we both said were the best we've ever had - if you're a fan, ORDER THEM! They're absolutely incredible and hugely portioned. We also got the guac which was really fresh and delicious. For a main, I had the blackened fish sandwich, which I am still DREAMING of. It was absolutely delicious and something I hope never comes off the menu because I would order this EVERY single time I came back. My friend got the Silver Lining salad which was hugely portioned. They also have a ton of cocktails as well as mocktails available with different special offers each night (e.g., Thursday when we were there was Martinis & Oysters night, with $11 Grey Goose martinis and $2.50 oysters from 4 PM on). Really nice to have options like that throughout the week! From start to finish, this was an awesome experience and I can't wait for future trips to FLL to return back here!

Although our server wasn't able to greet us right away, another sever did which shows team work. Our service all around was very good. Even down to the parking attendant. I I was nervous about the food due to mixed reviews but I enjoyed the hot honey pepperoni flatbread and my wasabi Cesar salad although I do wish it was actually spicy. The margarita tower was well worth it, each flavor tasted how it should have. Nice ambiance outside to brunch.

The place is very nicely decorated and there is so much to look around at because the theming is very nice. I also like that there is a nice amount of seating and the bar top area is spaced out also. The bartender was friendly and got the drink orders in quickly but was a little pushy with trying to get us to upsize our drinks when I only wanted a small. The frozen hurricane was delicious and has a nice strength to it. Very sweet but very refreshing! The burger and fries I had were amazing and the burger was cooked perfectly! I will say at almost $19 dollars for the smash burger, I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again because the price was not worth the flavor to me! The fries were also tasty but nothing to write home about. Overall a good place but one that I will come for just drinks and then grab food somewhere else in my opinion!

Our server was Kevin, who was very attentive and at our table within a minute with helpful recommendations and brought us nice cold water right away, which was appreciated. I ordered the RibEye steak with Parmesan mashed potatoes. Here is where Superior Service comes in! Kevin and John, the manager, came to the rescue immediately. It was not Kevin or John's fault whatsoever but the mashed potatoes were over-salted and inedible. Both my daughter's and mine. My ribeye was tough, not tender, and had a very strange bitter taste to it that I couldn't handle. Kevin was on it right away and asked what I would like to substitute with. I picked the Prime Rib because my daughter said hers was delicious. She switched to the Loaded Baked Potato and so did I. My Prime Rib was excellent. The problem was solved quickly and the replacements were delicious. Our Mother's Day dinner was a success after all. Then, on top of everything, John presented us with a VIP Mother's Day $10 gift card for our next visit. We topped it all off by ordering the Chocolate Brownie with caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream. It was outstanding!! The Brownie was chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. Firebird has a great menu with lots of delicious looking items on it. We will be back soon to try other things that caught our eyes. And ask for Kevin's area! Parking is on the street. It felt like forever sitting at the table with my 3 hungry kids. Kevin did apologize for forgetting my salad, but made no mention about the insane wait for dinner. I actually ordered the 3 course option that came with a desert, but we left after eating because we had already been there for over 2 hours. On our way out, we overheard another table getting their dinner comped because of the wait. Buyer beware!!
