For the price-quality and quantity, there is a lot that is left to be desired. Mostly bread, the pie crust is nearly 3" thick. For a restaurant that was derived from the brainchild of a successful pizza shop on the beach, I expected much more. The dough was not flavorful, my understanding is it is only proofed for three days, and the ingredients were super expensive. $4 to add toppings... like mushrooms. I get that rent is expensive but this is excessive. Funny thing is there are no pizza's, at least what i could see that was actually priced WITH toppings. So go ahead and order the cheese pizza and add the only free toppings. Basil and Garlic. In addition, I tried the meatball sandwich that is marked to feed two. The sandwich won't, go ahead and order another it will really only feed one person. the only redeeming factor is the decore and the hidden bar around the corner. read more

Considering this place is owned by the same people as Lucali in South beach we went in expecting the same quality of food. We were very disappointed. The pepperoni bites were burnt and basic. The pizza was burnt throughout. And if we could somehow manage to get past the taste of burnt char, the pizza was just too salty. I've been coming to this place since it opened in brickell. It has significantly gone down hill. It used to be great quality and great experience. The past few times I have waited over 1 hour to receive a pizza. I was laughed at and the manager rolled their eyes at me when I complained about the wait. The staff was nasty to me and I will absolutely not return at this point. The most embarrassing customer service experience I've ever had at a restaurant in Miami/Brickell. I am mortified. To start we ordered watermelon and farro salad. Quite refreshing combination. The farro added great texture. Also, the WINGS! Omg! I wanted to go back today just for those. Had the best time at DC PIE CO last night. The pizza was probably the best I've had. All of the food we tried was delicious. The meatballs melt in your mouth and I am not a wing person but the wings are insane. My daughter loved the grilled artichoke with lemon. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I found my favorite Brickell hot spot!! I loved the environment and ambience from the moment I walked in. The staff was so friendly and the service was on point. This is a place where I can see myself coming to visit at least a couple times a week. My drink of choice has to be The Hot Box with just the right balance of refreshing with a little kick. And the food, WOW!! The wings are absolutely amazing!! The Kale Cesar salad is delicious! Plus the chicken or eggplant Parmesan, I can't decide which one I love more. And of course you can't go wrong with a brick oven pie. I went with only pepperoni on mine and it was incredible! And as a dessert person, the Berry Ricotta calzone is my favorite. I have a 32 year old tradition of trying pizza no matter where I go so I had to seek out a local pizzeria while down in Miami. I came upon DC Pie Co during my search and was anticipating greatness. Unfortunately that is not what came to be. Because I wanted to enjoy the pizza while binge watching season 2 of YOU I decided to do take out. I pulled up to the front waiter who stood her post just outside the front door. After seeing the prices on the menu I almost left. I'm from NYC and rarely did I see brick oven pizza priced so high. Something inside me told me "treat myself" so I went ahead. I ordered one pie and some wings. Nothing fancy. Just a couple toppings and one order of 8 wings, which was $15 (CRAZY!). I was told the food should be ready in 25 min and my number was taken down so they could call me when it was ready. I walked down to Brickell Center and did some shopping while I waited. Before I knew it 35 min had passed. No call. So I decided to take the stroll back to DC Pie. By the time I got there the hostess told me that the pizza was just put into the oven due to the fact it was a busy night. I looked over to see the restaurant less than half full. :/ . But ok. I'm a patient dude. Waited 10 more min then I was compelled to start giving her "hey, wtf ma'am" looks. She evaded them . Another 10 min later I questioned her again about the whereabouts of my pizza. She said that it was still in the oven and that it was coming out soon. I tried to hold back the glare but I failed. It was an hour from when I put in the order! I spoke to the manager and he made the same statement about the restaurant being busy and takeout orders. But come on 1 hour for a pizza is ridiculous. Roughly 15 min later, (Cumulative time of 1 hour and 15 min) I was handed the pizza and wings by the manager alongside a side of many apologies. I forgave him but still pretty unhappy with the situation. Came home and opened the box to the aroma of tomato sauce, cheese, and basil. All in all the pizza was great, but the service really marred my experience. I am doubtful I will ever go back again. P.S. The wings were burnt somewhat but also delicious. read more

Have been hearing good things about this new Brooklyn style pizza place in Brickell. I'm from NY and am pretty picky about my thin crust pizza, and I have to say DC delivered! Perfectly charred crust, huge fresh basil leaves on top of every pie, and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. I loved the meatball and garlic pie especially, the homemade meatballs were baked into the cheese on the pizza and had great flavor. Highly recommend this new pizza spot, and it should be a fun night time spot as well, the bar looks like they're gonna be pumping out some really tasty cocktails. We visited my brother in Miami and he took us here because it's one of his favorite places. We had pizza, calzones, salad and cocktails and they were all delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and gave us excellent recommendations. Service was quick, which is greatly appreciated when dining late on a Saturday with a hungry 8-year-old in the group. On a side note, I forgot my cardigan on my chair and didn't realize it until much later. Writing a new review after my previous 1 star review. Just to recap; I came here on NYE with my family, and the female working there was incredibly hostile toward me after not being seated for 5 minutes. I was very upset, and I voiced my displeasure on Yelp with 1 star due to the awful behavior that was on display toward me from a female worker. The owner, Dominic, then responded back to me shortly afterward apologizing and stating that he would like to make things right by inviting me for a free meal. I normally don't take up this second offer, but DC Pie is a delicious pizza, and I live in the Brickell area so I would like to make things right if he is truly sincere and offering an apology. I came a second time during lunch for a Beef Pepperoni Pizza and Kale Caesar Salad. The food, as usual, was incredibly delicious. One of the best pizzas in all of America I would argue. The Salad is a great starter, and the Pizza was just so fresh and mouth watering. The guy working there, ALICIO, was VERY hospitable, nice, and seated us well. There was a delay in the beginning and he seemed busy, but the DIFFERENCE between this visit and the last one with Alice, was that Alicio stopped and said "Hello sir, I will be right with you shortly, would you like to eat or order?" I said dine in, and he responded with "no problem sir, please just give me one minute and I will take care of you." This is ALL I needed to hear, and I am an understanding man. No problem, take your time. He sat me down, took my order, and I explained what happened on the previous visit. He was very apologetic. Mr. Dominic, know that you have a wonderful employee with Alicio. Great guy. I highly recommend this place. One caution I will give to some people; this place is pretty busy, so there might be some delays (especially due to the high number of online deliveries, sometimes taking an hour and half).
