The bed was amazingly comfortable -- one of those adjustable tempurpedic mattresses. I'm not sure if every room has one or if it was just our room, but it sure made it hard to want to get out of bed. There is free wi-fi and continental breakfast downstairs in the morning. This place is a great alternative to the pricey hotels around DC -- it has a private, relaxing feel and yet is close enough to the Metro that it is also pretty convenient. We hit the jackpot--furnished, clean apartments in a wonderful, amazing location, and the price was just right! Restaurants, bars and cafes are just around the corner. Harris Teeter, Safeway, CVS, and FedEx literally 2 to 3 minutes away (walking). It was super convenient and we were happy. Most importantly though, management is wonderful. The owner, Steve, really cares about the tenants whom he call friends. It was always a delight running into him! At one time, my husband and I had to travel for few days and Steve went above and beyond and took care of our incoming packages, which we really appreciated. He is truly amazing, responsive and extremely helpful. If you are looking for a place to stay, don't think twice about Adam Morgan Suites. You will love it.

The apartment was in a basement next to the garage which smelled strongly of mildew. The rooms were dark even with the lights on. The bed which was advertised as queen was so small ( I think it was a full) and the mattress was terrible, so soft. When I removed the sheets I saw that it was an air mattress! There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and there was a large damp patch on the ceiling next to the shower. Maybe I'm nit picking but the toilet paper was so thin you could use it as tracing paper, I had to buy my own supply. The only good thing about the place was the washer/ dryer. Save your money and go somewhere else.

But we definitely wanted to have what we thought would be a kitchenette We took a one bedroom suite, which turned out to be a fully functional one bedroom apartment... A spacious king size bedroom, normal relatively small New York style bathroom which was absolutely fine, and a full living room with the dining table and a small kitchen We utilized every aspect of that hotel, including the laundry room that was available for a small charge, Trader Joe's which was a five minute walk away, Whole Foods which was a five minute walk in the other direction, and most important... The Foggy Bottom metro station. Within 20 minutes you can be anywhere, including Ronald Reagan airport... A direct shot on the blue line For those unfamiliar with Washington DC, foggy bottom is the closest metro station to Georgetown... Which is a leisurely 10 to 12 minute walk from the hotel to the center of the and dining district. The metro couldn't be easier to use, and the people at the hotel will help you find your way if you're unsure... And remarkably... The people who work at the metro stations are also incredibly helpful and patient... Quite a change from San Francisco where I live or New York where they pretend they are an idiot if you can even find them Another thing that makes the metro system so easy to use is that you can just click your phones and do auto pay if you have Apple Pay Google pay or something similar. I don't like other cities where you need to use that to charge some type of transit card... You can just directly do it there. Our tickets, no transit cards, no nothing just in and out. Back to the hotel, the restaurant was disappointing. The appetizer we served was so much of a joke that we didn't even eat dinner there. We just went somewhere else for dinner... But... And this is a good Butt... There are many restaurants within a 15 minute walk, including some of our favorites. And because we love to eat it happy hour there are several happy hour options available, including two branches of Founding Farmers We are a bit older, so we don't stay out that late in the day, and we don't care if we eat relatively early. So we usually enjoy loading up unhappy hour and moving from there. The Melrose also does a happy hour on cocktails and a few appetizers at all again for around the corner The front desk staff was astronomical, with the front desk manager really being a superstar. We were very appreciative of the excellent service by guest services manager Brandy, and her senior receptionist Jasmine. Service was excellent all the way around, with another set of thanks going to Saif , one of the bell/ door staff It's fair to say the hotel is not fancy nor the rooms elegant... But it was just so darn perfect for our knees and we would not consider staying anywhere else Also, the Watergate hotel is a few minutes walk away, so if you wanted to do something a little fancy or camping, you can go there for a drink. We did and had a nice time. I'm not sure I would want to stay in the place. The company also offers some other furnished apartments in DC as well but I can only speak for the one in DuPont that I stayed in. Although given what I have seen, i would imagine that they are just as fabulous. I was between homes for a 2 weeks and looking for a place to stay in downtown DC. I happened upon DC Digs. They were fantastic to work with. I was able to do everything over e-mail. They sent me photos of the apartment I would be renting and were very reasonable for DC. On move in day, I was given the instructions to pick up the keys and was able to do everything without any hiccups. The apartment - is beautiful. The photos I was sent not only matched reality but exceeded it. These are mostly one bedroom apartments - so not palatial. However all of the space is tastefully and cleverly used. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking implements and sundries. The apartment comes with satellite tv service and internet/wifi that is included in the rental. Linens and bedding are provided as well as a cleaning service. Laundry machines are in the building as well. You can see that the owners really took their time and decorated the place with care. Location - can't be beat. It is less than 1 block from DuPont circle itself and all of the cafes and restaurants. Close enough to the action but the street itself is kind of quiet. There is limited parking and depending on availability, DC Digs sometimes can provide a parking space. But as I said this is based on availability. They were very up front about it but were able to come through in the end. If it wasn't for the fact that I have to drive to Virginia for work, I would have left the car and stuck with the Metro. There is a WholeFoods, a Safeway and several pharmacies (including a 24 hour CVS!) close by. I would use DC Digs again in a heart beat and recommend it to people looking for a short term stay in DC - but don't want to stay in a hotel. You can cook when you feel like it or head out and take advantage of the nation's capital.

The location is tremendous - both places we stayed were just 1-2 blocks from DuPont Circle and the metro.You'll be close to a Whole Foods, Safeway, CVS and almost anything else you could want. The the restaurants on the Circle, 17th Street, and 14th Street offer great food and great variety. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. Perhaps most importantly - the owners and staff of DC Digs are wonderful! Any questions we had were answered super fast. And Lamar (one of the owners) was incredibly gracious. When we had a little problem with the TV, he reached out to us and moved us to a different unit - and he was just incredibly gracious about the whole thing. We honestly can not say enough about how great DC Digs and the whole team was. We travel a lot and this was BY FAR our best experience. We left town trying to figure out how and when we could come back and stay there again.

In reality, I was placed in a basement under the owner's house, which had originally been a storage room converted into a rental space -- something they never disclosed. The unit was uninhabitable, with a mechanical room beside the bed producing over 70 dB of sudden industrial noise, making it impossible to sleep or live normally. They offered no real assistance or service, and when we were forced into a constructive eviction, they only mentioned an alternative unit far too late to be of any use. Worse, they lied to my bank, falsely claiming they had provided services and issued a refund -- none of which ever happened. I paid $6,030.24 for this experience. They then cut off all communication, refused any refund, and are still insisting to the bank that they owe nothing. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This company operates with deceptive advertising, no accountability, and total disregard for consumer rights. Be extremely careful -- this is a business that causes real harm to its tenants.

This B&B is ranked #2 in DC on tripadvisor's website (#1 is owned by the same company) and I can totally see why they have such excellent ratings. The B&B is exactly what I was looking for. Right on a metro line (red about a block away, unless you take the elevator which is even closer) and had a number of things to do within walking distance. We arrived around 3pm on a Thursday and checked in and was given a quick tour of the place. Our room was the bay window room on the second floor. It was quite nice. After we checked in we went for a stroll around the zoo (three blocks up the road on the right). Then headed down towards Dupont Circle and got some great coffee (Filter) and some gelato! Then took the metro back. Everything was extremely clean and the staff was super helpful. We spent every night out on the porch drinking some wine (part of the livingsocial deal) and people watching. This is in a very safe part of town and all around nice. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! My only complaint is that the boy and I like to sleep in and the walls are pretty thin so we could hear other guests knocking on the doors and talking, but that was a very minor issue.

I've stayed in hotels where the smoke smell is much stronger but the sheets didn't smell smokey and the smell didn't impact my sleep. My room was also close to the street so I could hear noice from the foot traffic, which wasn't great, but I was so tired I was still able to get decent sleep. I was only there one night, but I think the kitchen and living space would be great for anyone in town on a longer trip.

For cleanliness and allergies, I prefer hotels without carpet in the room. I get to my room (after being charged a $50 early check in fee) and the room is carpeted. The representative offered no resolution and simply told me there was no available rooms without carpet (not sure how when we arrived before 12 pm). I go to the restroom and our toilet doesn't flush. I have to call down to the front desk again and wait for maintenance. This further delayed starting our trip. As far as the room itself, the furniture is in dire need of updating. The main table had severe damage. There were scuffs marks to all the furniture. The chair for the desk was filthy. The AC can't be controlled from the individual units/rooms. There is no mention of this on the website. You have 2 solutions. Either the AC will be on and set to 62 degrees (leaving you freezing cold at night) or you turn it off completely in 95 degree weather. Imagine paying for a hotel room and you can't make yourself comfortable. I could go on and on about issues with this hotel (ie low water pressure , leaking ceiling in the shower, and no lights in the courtyard). Just save your money and stay somewhere else.

When we first started with Scout Properties, things were great. Our first manager, Nick, was…read moreprofessional and easy to reach. But after Victor took over, everything went downhill fast. I'm not sure Victor ever really knew who we were and I can't be sure he ever visited the apartment before things really went to crap. He completely missed a major toilet leak--even after the tenant moved out--which left us with a cumulative $5,773.14 water bill. Then Scout didn't handle the tenant's voucher renewal properly, with no warning to us, which made the tenant move out early and cost us rental income. Even worse, we've now been stuck for several months without a tenant and have had to cover all the turnover costs ourselves. Despite that, Scout still charged their full management fees while barely responding to us. All of a sudden, Scout dropped us as clients (including our neighbors who were clients also), kept the fees, and stopped returning calls. Our next‑door neighbors had the same experience -- and told us their tenant was even offered an apartment at another property managed by Scout. Everything started fine but turned into one expensive, stressful mess. Don't hire Scout Properties unless you want poor communication, big bills, and months of lost rent.

While some communication has been responsive, the overall condition of the apartment and follow-through on certain issues have been disappointing. Upon move-in, the unit was not thoroughly cleaned. There were hardened food splatters in the microwave, a dirty stovetop, stained cabinets, filthy outlet covers and light switches, and windows that looked like they had never been cleaned. One of the bedroom windows didn't open at all. The living room and bedroom floors were also worn and splintered--rough enough to tear pieces off my mop while I was cleaning. I submitted an inspection report with photos and received a response from the property manager acknowledging the concerns. A bathroom wall hole was patched (though the repair was done without any coordination or notice), and I was told the chipped toilet tank issue was being reviewed with the landlord. As of now, I haven't received a follow-up. I was also told the technician would be reminded to be more mindful of cleanliness, as the workspace left behind wasn't ideal. The most concerning issue, however, was finding a roach inside the microwave--before I had even used it. That was the final factor that led me to submit an early lease termination notice 22 days after receiving the keys. I'm giving 3 stars because rent payment through the portal was convenient, and Victor did respond to some of my concerns (however, it felt like he never responds to an email in its entirety). But the move-in experience, unresolved maintenance issues, and poor communication has bothered me entirely. I hope more attention is given to preparing units for future tenants and being more efficient in communication.
