Do not trust this company's advertising. I signed a lease believing I would be staying in a quiet home in Washington, D.C., as shown on their website. In reality, I was placed in a basement under the owner's house, which had originally been a storage room converted into a rental space -- something they never disclosed. The unit was uninhabitable, with a mechanical room beside the bed producing over 70 dB of sudden industrial noise, making it impossible to sleep or live normally. They offered no real assistance or service, and when we were forced into a constructive eviction, they only mentioned an alternative unit far too late to be of any use. Worse, they lied to my bank, falsely claiming they had provided services and issued a refund -- none of which ever happened. I paid $6,030.24 for this experience. They then cut off all communication, refused any refund, and are still insisting to the bank that they owe nothing. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This company operates with deceptive advertising, no accountability, and total disregard for consumer rights. Be extremely careful -- this is a business that causes real harm to its tenants. read more

I'm hovering between 3.5 to 4 stars for this company. This company does long term housing leases for people coming to the DC area for work assignments and I stayed for 3 months. Cons: 1. I didn't get instructions on how to get into my property (has two electronic codes) until the day I checked in. I had warned them previously that my company will be sending the money by Thursday or Friday, and I needed to get into the property by Sunday. I also told them twice that I wanted this information because my flight lands at 9:00 PM and I may not arrive to the property until 10:30 PM due to baggage claim and other logistical things. As a woman in an unfamiliar city, I want to make sure I can get in and not linger outside. Luckily I got the codes, but I was little frustrated because it would have been good if they gave it to me by Saturday so I didn't have to scramble Friday (during work hours) and Sunday morning to try and get the info. 2. One of the electronic gates didn't end up working. It locked me out twice, and worse, it's at 8:00 PM (week of 10/24/2022). I called the after hours service and while I know I sounded frustrated (because I was outside in the cold for 30-40 minutes trying to get the door to unlock), the lady wasn't the most empathetic. When I told her I needed someone to come asap, she just spoke to me with a patronising tone. However, I was legitimately scared. It's surprising because as a woman, you should understand why another woman doesn't want to be locked out in the dark in a new and unfamiliar area. The service man, Demetrius, came to save the day multiple times. However, that door never got fixed properly which is concerning because anyone can enter that gate and a punch the apartment door's glass window (the door has an electronic key pad) to gain access to the dwelling. I was just told to not bother with the first gate anymore to prevent being locked out, so I did. I only lock it when I'm inside the apartment. 3. Apartment itself has a lovely structure. Great kitchen, solid granite/rock flooring, washer and dryer, and a modernish bathroom. The problem is the furniture. The settee couch has rips. The blue/grey sofa also has rips and a huge indentation in the middle where someone sat for too long. The bed in the one bedroom is squeaky and the pillows are poor-- some feathers are popping out. The mattress should be switched to a memory foam one for less noise and better sleep. The blanket has some stains, but luckily there's a duvet to cover it. 4. Some pest issues that were resolved. I found spider beetles, sow bugs, centipedes, and roaches once the exterminator went through the first time. I had to get them to come because I was bitten at night while sleeping (probably by the spider beetles). It wasn't bed bugs because the bites were too big and spread out for that. Luckily once the exterminator came a second time, all the bugs seem to be held at bay. These bugs are just quite persistent to staying around because it was a basement apartment and because of evolution. Pros: overall a responsive team. The leasing and sales departments (Karla in particular) were always very prompt and responsive. They helped with the bug issues quickly and responded to my needs to get different style invoices for work reimbursement. They also did any service calls fast. The apartment itself (which I found out later on) is not in the worst neighbourhood, but it does border some sketchier streets and there are some issues with mugging in the area, though nothing too terrible. I would recommend the company to others coming for long term stays and I even would recommend the apartment. Just do your research into the neighbourhoods in DC and definitely understand that basement apartments here have some pest control issues regardless. read more

I have stayed with Stay Attache several times over the last few years. Unfortuantely the quality of their service has declined. The company seems disorganized and less customer-service focused. The move-in instructions for the unit I rented were incorrect, which is not something you need to experience in the middle of the night arrival. The wi-fi password was also wrong, and no binder or information packet about the building (location of trash, laundry, troubleshooting the cable, phone numbers to call for service, etc) was left like it used to be. It took a while to get a mailbox key I received multiple conflicting notices about my move-out and overdue rent notices when I already paid. The unit itself was as described and in good working order. A few basic items were missing that are basic for a corporate apartment. Attache said they would provide them when I asked, but they forgot or left them at the wrong unit. I ended up buying them myself. At one point they entered the unit without asking my permission to access it for a non-urgent mateter- perhaps that is in the lease agreement but that is not something I have experienced with other companies before. Generally the company will confirm they plan to enter on a certain day. The positive was that they were accommodating when I needed to adjust my move-out date. I do appreciate that. Ultimately this is a company with a strong track record and history of good customer service. Something is going on now though that does need to be addressed to return to the same caliber this company used to be at. read more

Stay far away! MOLD! After getting sicker and sicker staying in the Dupont apartment, I finally looked in the AC unit to see that it was BLACK with mold. No one responded to my calls for two days. In the end, I had to flee the apartment, and they offered no serious apologies, no discounts or refunds for the days I had stayed there and lived with mold blowing over me. I incurred medical bills because of this and they were not concerned. Additionally, the place had extremely low grade furniture, the wall bed was on a serious incline to the point of all the sheets coming off every night. The bathroom ceiling was moldy and when I reported it, they came and sprayed toxic chemicals, without warning, destroying many of my toiletries. The windows were broken, the shower didn't have the right curtain. The AC was old and had to be turned off frequently to gather some energy to work again. The list goes on. DO NOT stay with this company. read more

Apartment was an active construction site when I moved in, no hot water, no essentials ( lack of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) that were guaranteed in the lease, no trash bins, poor communication that put the onus on the tenant to figure out basic issues. I recently had two urgent needs for short and medium term housing in DC. Attache Corporate Housing quickly responded to my inquiries and provided me great options. I was able to move into both properties when I needed them quickly, saving me a lot of housing heartache. Their team knows the local market. The properties I stayed were in excellent locations and had all the amenities. Was much better than staying in a hotel. They also responded to my billing needs and quickly resolved any minor issues I encountered. Unfortunately, when I needed a rental property in DC while attending a course, I didn't use Attache Property. I regret that daily! I have had the chance to benefit from the wonderful service now however. Last week, my friend, who is now attending the same month-long course, was told that her property in DC had fallen through. She was faced with the prospect of commuting from Rosslyn to Walter Reed daily. Eek! I wanted to help and remembered that the Attache Property website looked good and that I had received a good response to my enquiries. E-mailed last Tuesday enquiring and got a response the same day from Tim. He had a property! It was in the perfect location and was exactly what they were looking for. It was competitively priced and sounded perfect. She got in touch with him...and everything was completely sorted within a day. He was absolutely lovely. She has now arrived and is thrilled with the house which is spotlessly clean and of great quality. I'm delighted too! It was the easiest favor I ever did! I rented a property from Attaché over the summer as I was staying in DC for an internship. They were fantastic to work with- the dates of my internship changed, and they worked with us by switching the dates (and location) of our lease. The apartment we rented was advertised as having a queen bed, but had a full bed when we arrived. We pointed this out to them, and they brought a new queen bed to the unit. I'm looking at interning again in DC and will definitely rent with Attaché if I do. It's very convenient that their rent includes all utilities and cable and internet. I wasn't a fan of the DC 14.5 percent hotel tax for leases under three months- but it's not their fault. Several of their units are pet friendly (yet you have to pay a pet fee- which I don't really agree with) and this was great for me because I brought my dogs. If you can afford it (and they are incredibly pricey, especially to someone from Houston), then go with Attaché. I've had a lot of experience with apartment rentals, and most try to nickel and dime you after you move out. Attaché didn't do this, but I would still recommend taking pictures of damaged items when you move in and sending them to the broker. read more

I'm living in a house managed by Attache and they are great. They respond quickly, fix what needs to be fixed, etc. They even have happy hours every so often which is a nice touch. Just to mention one item, once I got locked out and they came within 30 minutes with a whole box of keys. None of them worked. It looks like they had misplaced the keys and in the end, we had to cut the screen to get back into the house. It was a bit annoying, but I guess it happens. I'm not sure if this is literally true but in my experience, they are available 24/7. read more

+ I rented an apartment for 5 weeks in DC. Location was great and the appartment had everything I need, kitchen was well equipped and I LOVED my sunny working place. The team of Attache answered always almost immediately which was important for me during the booking process (staying in Europe with 6 hours time difference). When the AC broke down, they had so. repair in within two days which is good, I guess. - In the bathroom and kitchen I had only lukewarm water, luckily besides the shower. Sink in the bathroom was not perfectly clean, the rest of the apartment was though. Cleaning fee and charges for payment by credit card are too high. read more

A representative of Attache Property Management wrote to us after seeing my original review here on Yelp. His response validated Yelp as a place that can make good results come about, and also caused me to modify my view of Attache Property Management. Even though we never asked for any of our money back, Attache Property Management offered a small refund. We appreciated this gesture. More importantly, the representative wrote a very nice personal note, and said that after looking into the problems mentioned here, he could validate our concerns. He promised to overhaul their operations and offer greatly improved services to future clients. Based on this correspondence, we will consider trying Attache the next time we have a prolonged stay in Washington DC. I have left the first part of the original review, which included things we liked as well as what we think did not work well, but have removed specific details. The original review: After reading the reviews already posted and taking into account our experiences, I get the sense that it all depends on which representative a client deals with at Attache Property Management. We rented a lovely apartment for two months. The building was quiet, well-kept, and conveniently located. Unfortunately, the management was almost absent. The people we dealt with seemed to have little experience and no interest in property management and maintenance. After our first week, we suggested that they go over the place as we had found so many obvious problems. In short, each apartment needs to have an inventory list and a standardized "welcome" packet. We have rented short-term furnished apartments in New York, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and other cities and have never found so many details left unattended. [Details removed] Based on our experience with other rental agencies, the welcoming information should be much more complete. It would be nice to receive information on garbage and recycling (the recycling as well as some other trash from former tenants is piled in the garbage area and has remained there for the two months of our residency; the pails are filled with rainwater, making a nice breeding ground for mosquitoes). It would also be nice to receive basic information about the neighborhood: CVS on M Street (between 28th and 29th); Trader Joe's on 25th Street (between M and L); etc. We also liked the cleaning service that was recommended to them, and we had them come on a weekly basis. read more

They pulled my credit, made me go through hoops, and then they said, "sorry, the house you wanted, the owner changed their mind and is moving back in early." Why couldn't they have found that out first? They are very slow to communicate with you, very cold, and unprofessional. Attaché was amazing! We had a flood in our house, and needed a temporary home (for 8 weeks) that could handle two kids and animals, which was also fully furnished. Attaché had a perfect home that was immediately available, and was much more reasonably priced that AirBNB. The entire rental process was done online, and it took only minutes to complete. The photos of the home were totally accurate, and Attche made the process of relocating my entire family on one day's notice very easy. Ah, Attache - the old AFIP stand-by. I was overall slightly less than satisfied with their service. After paying $2800+ for a studio for a month, I'd expect a little more than the bare minimum (roof over my head, serviceable bathroom and kitchen) and that's all I got. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, and I had to get air fresheners regularly to keep my clothes from getting permeated with the smell. Ants were all over the air conditioning unit. The toilet required two flushes every time. The internet was spotty at best, not even good enough to stream YouTube. Twice during my stay, I was notified that workers/Attache personnel had to enter my apartment when I wasn't home. I also wasn't thrilled with some of their business practices. I was shown an apartment which was head and shoulders above what I ended up with, and then when I submitted my paperwork later that day, was told that the apartment was no longer available - forcing me to get a much less desirable unit (pretty sure they call that the old bait and switch). It takes $45 just for them to check your credit, before you can even bang out a contract. And I found two of their staff (Brian and Victor) to be borderline competant at best. It took over a week to get the contract back with a confirmation after I signed it. I didn't get any information on how to enter the building until about 12 hours before I arrived, despite multiple phone calls and emails. And when it came time to check out, I received the information for someone else's apartment who happened to live in the same building! I literally could have used that information to enter into someone else's apartment. I realized just how bad it was when I visited a friend's place who lived 2 blocks away and payed a comparable amount for a much more modern setup with in-unit washer/dryer, parking, HDTV, and other amenities. Bottom line, I guess if you were looking for a place at the 11th hour and had nowhere else to go, it'd be okay to deal with them. I personally kind of wished I had looked around earlier so I could have gone with someone else. read more

I had a mostly positive experience with this company. It was very expensive for what it was, but corporate housing in DC is expensive in general, so I'm not sure they're any better or worse price-wise than any other comparable corporate housing company. I think most of my issues with my stay have more to do with the owner of the property I was renting vs. Attache, which is just the management company. If you contacted Attache with an issue or service request, they did follow-up fairly promptly. But it seemed like the owner of the property did very little in the way of basic home maintenance and repair, or even basic landscaping. The property was extremely overgrown with weeds in the last few months I lived there, and nothing was done pro-actively until I reached out to Attache. At which time they did take care of it, but like everything there regarding basic upkeep, it seemed like the property owner did nothing. Attache was good with billing and there were no hidden fees - the cost of your stay is pretty clear up front​, which I appreciate. Again, I think Attache is fine, but be careful in selecting a property that's actually being maintained by a conscientious​ owner, and not an investor or absentee​ owner looking to make a quick buck. read more

My boyfriend and I are having a nice time living in an Attache apartment here in DC. We were a bit nervous about moving here without seeing the apartment first, but Katherine gave us a virtual skype tour to ease our worries. The whole process was pretty seamless - the initial communication, virtual tour, lease signing, moving in... The apartment is clean, nicely decorated and well-furnished. Thanks to a friend referral, I found Attache to help house me during a short-term detail with a federal agency in DC. Attache was the most responsive, had the best apartments for my federal perdiem, and was the most helpful in my search. I settled on an apartment and when I wasn't sure about it, Tim drove me around to see other apartments. After I sent in my apartment inventory, Brittany stocked the house the next day while I was at work and I returned home to a perfectly outfitted kitchen. Even after being out of the apartment for two months, Attache picked up two mis-directed pieces of mail for me and sent them back. The only issues I had were with their accountants, who were a little difficult. Even with that though, everything else was so superlative that Attache receives 5 stars. read more

Application and billing were simple and straightforward. Move in and move out were seamless. The property was extraordinarily well-equipped (I couldn't imagine needing anything else for the kitchen). I had trouble with the vacuum and coffee maker, submitted a request for replacements, and found brand new replacements outside the security door the very next day. I stayed in the Attache Adams Morgan apartment and I only have good things to say about their service. While the apartment is expensive it is actually cheaper than comparable furnished apartments in DC. The location is great and the apartment is gorgeous. When I moved in there were a few issues- leaky faucet, malfunctioning air conditioner- but Attache and the building owner were incredibly responsive! They had everything fixed in a matter of days. They were also incredibly accommodating when I wanted to add my partner to the lease mid-way through my stay. I would highly recommend Attache to anyone staying in DC for a short period of time who wants a premium housing experience! read more

I LOVED the location of the property I leased on Biltmore Street in Adams Morgan. It was close to everything I needed, and public transportation is just steps away. The neighborhood felt very safe and was chock full of good restaurants and amenities. The apartment was nicely furnished and well-stocked with necessities. Practically everything was new. And all of the appliances/cable/phone/internet worked perfectly. Everything was squeaky clean when I moved in. And there were no bugs. Attache was easy to work with and very professional. I always received very prompt replies when I contacted them. The application process was completed entirely through email and fax and literally took just minutes. They were also very accommodating when my travel reservation was cancelled at the last minute and I was unable to move out until the day after my lease expired. I give 4 stars instead of 5 only because I thought the property was expensive. Compared to other corporate housing companies, however, it seems to be all about the same. DC is just pricey! Also, Attache frequently shows their properties to prospective tenants (which is great for the property owners). And they do not enter the property without 24 hours notice. But it was a little inconvenient for me, as the owner of a large dog, because either my husband or I would have to arrange to meet them at the apartment so that my dog would not act as if strangers were breaking in. Attache was very understanding when I couldn't be there, however, and did schedule appointments at my convenience. Of course this would not be a problem at all for most people. All in all, I was extremely pleased with my 4-month stay. I would recommend Attache to others and will use them again if I ever get back to D.C. read more

I normally don't write reviews but the service & attention to my needs throughout the rental process from Attache's team was above & beyond anything I could have expected. I worked primarily with Katherine, however also had experiences with Stephen, Gabriella & Ken. I can't speak highly enough about this group. They made me feel like I was valued in doing so I went from renting 2 units to having my entire field staff stay in Attache rental units ending with a total of 7. Attache jumped though hoops to make sure I was taken care of when placed under an extremely tight window to get some of these set up & without their help I don't know what I would have done. When there was a service issue -RARE Ken had a crew over within 24 hours to fix & one unit had a leak due to a city pipe issue. Attache immediately pulled my guys out set up in a hotel & relocated into an equally awesome property at a slightly lower rate within 1 day & I must add this all took place on a weekend! They were able to give me rental options all within 2 miles of my site which also helped my field team cut down on traffic needed to get to work each morning & put them in safer areas than I could have found trying to use other services or long term hotels. I did have two apartments set up in DC prior to finding Attache but in the future will avoid the rental process & set up only with Attache. My only complaint is that they aren't located in all states that my company services. I wish all of my experiences with outside vendors could be as lovely as this was. Terrible, all round. Pictures are pretty, but beware. Problems, mentioning just a few: stuff stolen from INSIDE the locked building (Stay Attache says not its problem), whole window fell out, kitchen sink pipes not caulked together=flooding, big hole in floor, heating not working, washing machine not working, leaks from bathroom into unit below. Much, much more. Stay Attache handyman let himself in before 8:00, while I was dressing. Repair man pissed on my bathroom floor. Oh, so much more. Meanwhile, it literally takes WEEKS to get the Stay Attache people (Kevin in particular) to return a call or respond to an e-mail. Will never, ever use this company again, and will advise everyone at my gov't agency to stay away too. read more

Not a great option for those on per diem for the government. They charge daily, meaning you pay full rent on the day you travel, even if you leave the property at 5am (in my case), and the government does not give you per diem on travel days so this leaves you out of pocket. Their daily rate policy also means that if you move from one attache property to another, you are DOUBLE charged - i.e. you pay the daily rent in both the property you vacated by noon and the subsequent place you move into after 3pm. The accounting department was not particularly pleasant to deal with and seemed absolutely remorseless about such a usurous policy, though I was also was dumb not to have caught this in the leases I signed. On the plus side, the properties were nice and service was pretty good - i just had to be persistent to get things fixed (call - they want you to submit service requests via an online form but no one ever responded to those). read more

I would not recommend Stay Attache. My husband and I needed temporary housing while in DC for work and we had numerous issues with Stay Attache, which they made no effort to resolve and they did not respond to our feedback emails. The internet was non-functional despite saying the apartment had high speed internet. Additionally, they could not understand government per diems, and we had to iterate for over 10 days to get the correct terms. When we moved in, we had to call them to have the pipes cleaned as the sink and shower drains were clogged. There is also not enough hot water to take a shower. As icing on the cake of a bad experience, for 4 nights in 5 days time, we had to call because the fire alarm batteries were low and beeping. It took 4 visits for them to manage to fix it. read more

I can recommend Attache to anyone who is staying in DC temporarily, especially if their work is paying for it (since the apts are pretty pricey). I found the staff very flexible and responsive once I moved into my apartment; the company covered the costs for new furniture and repairs to make the place more livable, to the tune of +$500. The only reason I don't give five stars is that although the staff was very responsive to maintenance issues (emails/calls returned the same day, often within minutes), it often took them a long time to actually fix appliances, repaint, or purchase new items. Despite that, however, the management was super friendly and the apartment fit my needs. read more
