I won't lie, by the looks on the pics I didn't expect much because everything just looked brown. But it was good flavor with both dishes and a good portion. There were a few pieces of tough pork, but that was no issue, I still enjoyed it. They let me try the cake which I couldn't decide on, that was so nice of them. That cake is good!! Both times I went, I got the same thing: a small container of rice and peas, a few chunks of meat (not exactly sure what kind, but it's flavorful), and a couple of sweet plantains. The portion isn't huge, but it's definitely filling enough for a lunch especially for around $5. The rice is really good and well-seasoned. The meat is also very flavorful, even though I still can't quite identify exactly what it is. My only real wish is that there was a little more of it, but again, for the price, it's hard to complain. The plantains aren't usually my favorite food, but even those weren't bad here. It's been consistent both times I've gone, which I actually appreciate. I don't know if they offer different items through the app, but so far it's been the same meal each time. Overall, it's a really good, affordable option if you just need a quick lunch or dinner and don't want to spend much. They weren't acting drunk, disrespectful, or causing any issues. We were all just enjoying our time. Instead of explaining anything professionally, Juan handled the situation with attitude and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. This is not how customers should be treated, and it definitely ruined our experience. We won't be returning, and I hope management addresses this seriously.

When I entered I was greeted right away and was given a menu and I let them know I would like to place an order to go.  Service was great and the wait staff was very friendly and took my order immediately.  The dining room was very spacious with plenty of tables and they had bar seating available. While I waited for my food I decided to walk over to the bakery that was attached to the restaurant. The bakery sells a bunch of different Colombian/Spanish baked goods, snacks and frozen items. They also had a section setup similar to a gift shop that had purses, hats, clothing and souvenirs that you would mostly find if you were in Columbia which I found to be a nice and unique addition.  I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with coconut rice, fried cassava, and sugar cane juice with lime To-go. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of my meal. My chicken lacked flavor and tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The wing was so dry and dehydrated that it was inedible; only the leg and thigh were moist. Additionally, the coconut rice was significantly undercooked and excessively sweet, to the point that I could not eat it. The fried cassava was served in very large pieces that remained undercooked. The Sugar cane juice was a dark brown color and had a sour taste, suggesting it was not fresh.  Fresh sugarcane juice should be a greenish- yellow color and only turns brown after it oxidizes which changes the quality and is not what I expected.  I have heard great things about this restaurant and hope my experience is not the norm. While I am interested in other menu items, I am currently hesitant about when I might return.
