We recently got a Too Good To Go bag from here and we were really surprised by the quality of this food! It was delicious! We haven't had this kind of food before and it really made me question why I haven't. I think when I was younger I was nervous to try things in case I wasted food and money if it wasnt for me. This was a really pleasant surprise which will get us to come back for sure. Love the chicken and plantains!

I found this spot when I was going to the hair salon next door. I went in for a little snack. They did not disappoint. The empanadas and the quipes were the best I've had in the 757 and gently the best I've had since DR ! I also tried the oxtail later on and it was pretty good not the best I've had in the 757 but still good. The staff were great and very welcoming and the service was fast. It's a cute cafe it is a bit small and they do have limited seating but it's perfect for getting lunch to go.

I was in the mood for Dominican food, so I found my way to Antojitis on Holland Rd.

It was clean and nicely decorated. My friend and l visited on a early Wednesday evening. We were seated immediately. After being seated it did take a little while for someone to take our order. But it wasn't too bad. The menu had a lot of appealing options. Only select items had prices on them. For appetizers we chose the oxtail empanada with cheese and the larger potato ball. Drinks we had mango margaritas which were on a happy hour specials for 5.99 ( Happy Hour is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m daily!) For dinner I had peril( roasted pork) with white rice and beans and sweet plantains. My friend had the roasted pork sandwiches between plantains. Pernil could have used more seasoning but was very tender 7/10 Potato ball- well seasoned, piping hot! 10/10 Mango Margarita 10/10 Oxtail empanada - not a lot of meat and kind of expensive for the size. $9.99. 6/10 Overall, I had a good experience and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu and another Margarita amd Potato ball.

A lot of times I've went, they were out of stock out of a lot of dishes, so I whined up getting a lot of the same things. The grilled chicken they use is a chicken breast and every time I get this, it's been very dry. I recently had the Shrimp Trifongo and that was really good. The Trifongo consisted of 3 starches: mashed yuca, sweet plantain (maduros), and green plantain. The sweetness of the maduros gives a great touch. I guess this will be my go to dish here!

I put specifics and they actually read them and it was correct. I always get the mofongos, tostones, rice and beans, pernil...but I was sad I didn't see the flan! I hope they decide to add it. I am obsessed! This place is hands down better than any other restaurant on the peninsula and south side.

Pre-pandemic, this was a place where we would have dine-in visits with friends of ours from a social group or just the two of us. It was probably close to a year since we last appeared so it was time to stop by. Similiar to the past visits, I called in our orders. They greeted me promptly when I walked in where there was only one table occupied. Quick and easy. For our orders, which both served as dinner and lunch for work at our respective sites, we chose their Cubano sandwich with our usual sides (fries for myself and plantains for Sophia). As always, the sandwich was pretty good packed with ham and roasted pork, pickles, cheese and mustard (both had no mayo). I would've liked for more fries in the box, but I had enough for both servings. La Pena Horeb came through once again. You know I'll be ordering takeout from here down the road. Till next time :)
