I went all out and I left feeling absolutely relaxed. If I had to do it again, I would not bother with the bath soak, I've had the same caliber of baths at home. My favorite part was the sugar scrub with Lucy, she was amazing. I started with the sauna. I was led to the room and given clear instructions. I loved starting here because it set the tone for a meditative experience. There was a timer in the sauna and a remote to switch the lighting if I wanted. This was really nice. I then was led to the bath soak room. This was my own doing, but I chose to come from a hot sauna into a HOT bath. I tried cooling down the water, but it did not work. I spent most of the time outside of the bath. The room was absolutely beautiful and inspired me. I loved the bathtub shape and the pillows provided. The bathtub tray with tea was lovely. It was also nice that they provided body scrub and lotion. The few flowers in the bath were cute. After that, I was a bit lost. Thankfully there was a sheet in there to explain that I could wait in the lobby for my next session. The wait took a bit. Someone kindly offered me some snacks which I enjoyed. I loved that they were vegan and gluten-free. After spending most of the afternoon in a DIY spa session, Lucy was an amazing next spa treatment. She guided me through what to expect. Her voice was very soothing. The sugar scrub was relaxing and left me feeling absolutely smooth. She recommended doing it once a season. Next I was introduced to Justin who was my massage therapist for the last treatment. He was just as kind. For those who are passionate about deep tissue massage, he's perfect for this! He was mindful of my requests on pressure and really helped me relax. I had an amazing afternoon at Scents of Serenity spa. The face-thingies are SOFT (I don't know why I can't find this everywhere). The only downsides? 1. There's no membership option!!! WHY. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME GIVE YOU MY MONEY MONTHLY?! 2. There's no rooms for couple's massages, and booking two separate massages at the same time for two different people using their online system is. . .not something it wants to let you do. My trick is to book one massage with another directly after it--both times I've done this, I've been called and asked if that was intentional. Once I explained, they had no problem arranging for me and my partner to both get massaged. 3. When you arrive, there's no receptionist, no front desk--there's chairs and magazines, so you KNOW it's the waiting area, but it can feel awkward waiting and being unsure if anyone knows you've arrived for an appointment. Fear not; It seems these folks are punctual and aware of when a client should be there, so they'll pop out of the room they massage in and get you--don't be weird like me and wander around, making the fact you have social anxiety super obvious, awkward, and everyone else's problem in addition to your own; Sit down and open a magazine and read about Reiki. On top of that, the middle row, which included three wefts, has been completely ruined. Because of this, I will now be forced to purchase entirely new hair if I ever decide to get extensions again. Even more concerning is the damage to my natural hair. I am currently three months postpartum and understand that some hair shedding is normal, but I am experiencing chunks of hair coming out, which I strongly believe is a direct result of improper installation--not postpartum changes. Blaming this entirely on postpartum hair loss is dismissive and ignores the clear errors in the work that was done. When I raised these concerns, they were brushed off. The owner even reached out to me, but offered no real resolution or compensation. After I responded, I never heard back again. The lack of accountability and follow-through is just as unacceptable as the poor quality of the service itself. I had this service done to feel more confident, and instead I am left dealing with damaged hair, ruined extensions, and a significant financial loss from purchasing the hair while i knew going into this it was a training appointment a master stylist should have checked over the work done making sure there was nothing to cause damage.
