I have a 30 year old ac that I can't afford to replace right now…read more When the temperature reached 116 degrees and it ran all day long I called another ac company out to see why it wasn't shutting off. This guy told me there were all kinds of leaks and the compressor was shot. That they don't even make parts for it any more. It would be cheaper to buy new than to repair and it would probably only last another week. When I told him I couldn't replace it he said his only suggestion was to turn the thermostat up as high as I could stand it and that might give me another week. Three days later I decided to call Terry's for a second opinion. Jessie came out to check it. Ran some tests and said it was in perfect working order. Yes it's old and a little small for the size house (is a 3 ton and should be a 4 ton) but it's in perfect shape. I'll never use any other company and plan to call them when I can afford a new ac.
