When you book, you have an initial consultation with someone from their team who asks thoughtful questions about your style and preferences, and then they match you with DJs based on your vision. That's how we were paired with Andrew. Their communication and planning tools were fantastic. They provide an online portal where you and your DJ can both input and update everything from song requests to timeline details. I had several follow-up calls with Andrew to make sure he really understood our vibe -- and on the day of, the energy and music were absolutely perfect. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and once the dancing started, Andrew really shined. His transitions, timing, and song selections for the dance party were spot-on -- the exact fun, high-energy vibe we were hoping for. Our guests were raving about how much fun they had, and the dance floor stayed full the entire time. There were a couple of minor hiccups -- our ceremony ran long, and Andrew needed about an hour to reset for the reception (which we knew beforehand but did not account for), so there was a short delay outdoors in the heat. And there were a few moments of uncertainty for what was happening next -- but honestly, those were small things that only I or the planner would have noticed. From a guest perspective, everything was seamless. Andrew made up for it 100% once the party started, and we couldn't have been happier with how the night ended. We were concerned about finding a band that could appeal to such a broad age range with eclectic musical tastes, but this band more than appealed to our guests. The band included two vocalists and four instrumentalists for a three-hour event that included the dinner hour and two hours of dancing. For the dinner hour, the band played beautiful jazz music, which allowed the guests to enjoy their dinner and conversation with soothing music playing in the background. The dancing portion of the night kicked off with the song, At Last by Etta James that was beautifully performed by their female vocalist. In fact, I think she sounded better than the original artist. From there, the band transitioned smoothly from one genre to the next with pure talent. I appreciated his effort in making sure the schedule of the wedding day was clear as well as the pronunciations (we are Hispanic so we had some challenging names and made a great effort with the names). He was very reassuring to us and gave us a sense that everything was under control. He was very open to song choices for the entire day - we dance quite a bit (salsa) so we had quite a bit of of song choices in our minds that we wanted played. I gave him a thumb drive with desired songs and asked him to mix in those songs with whatever songs he saw that flowed well. To my delight, he played just about every song on our request list throughout the day! I didn't even have to give him a "do not play" list. He did not disappoint. His setup is also top notch. He brings along free standing mics, lapel mics and ensures that the sound in the ceremony is good as well as afterwards. We had a special salsa instructional class after dinner and Chris was very willing to work with the instructor to start/stop songs during the instruction. Overall, I found Chris to be excellent.
