It's cool that they're run by volunteers and that supposedly all proceeds go to the Davis Library,…read morebut what threw me off was how they have a whole section dedicated to Zionism. It was the last thing I expected to see in cute ole Downtown Davis. I'd say come to Sac if you're looking for bookstores that won't make you feel weird entering. Edit: To clarify, I found it pretty disappointing that there was an entire shelf dedicated to European history, and another shelf generalized as "world history". Within the "world history" shelf, I saw a row of books specifically about Israel and Zionism, albeit not labeled as such. The only book with Palestine in the title was on display, but on the back cover it specified that it recounts the "experiences of Zionist women settling in Palestine", and not indigenous Palestinians. I scanned the shelf and didn't see a single book about Palestine, despite a fair number on Israel. Given how charged this topic is with the ongoing genocide in Gaza, I felt uncomfortable as it seemed that the bookstore had taken an intentional stance by not providing, at the very least, accounts of both sides of the matter.

Visited Logos Books for the first time a few weeks ago and it was just okay. Quite small and packed…read moreto move around when crowded. The one thing that I did like was how the proceeds go to the Davis Public Library. It's located in downtown Davis and was nice to walk around to the shops as well.

Magical place. Fabulous staff. I know, right? A laundramat? I'm writing a review about a…read morelaundramat? Yes! In a city full of apartments and university students, this is an absolute necessity and it does the job in a way that few others do. Washers of many sizes will accommodate a week's worth of clothes, a family's worth of towels, bed linens, and whatever else needs to be washed and dried. Washers seem pricey UNTIL you realize that the dryers are free for all the time needed to get your items dry. No feeding quarters very 25 minutes. The place is SPOTLESS. An attendant is available to answer questions. They have a small selection of products if you showed up from the camp ground with no soap or softener or stain removal. Several very large folding tables are available, even large enough to handle a queen size comforter. Easy parking in the evenings. Feels super safe. The whole vibe is like grownups, ya know? I was one of 8-10 people getting stuff done a week ago or so, and it was comfortable, even at 8 pm. No patron abuse of the facilities cuz it just reeks of being cared for. Okay, enough praise.

It is not a temporary hold, you took my money and when I told you, you took my money you didn't care thank you They always overcharge your credit card and when you try to dispute it, they try to say that the money will be back into your card, but they charged me $13 four times. I spoke with the owner about this and I spoke with the lady that worked there the day that I went. Just gave me bullshit ass, excuses, and explanations.

She was the first one I went to and I immediately knew I could trust her with my dress. I was very concerned about finding a seamstress because of the delicate fabric and design of my dress. As soon as I put it on, Jeannie could already tell where alterations needed to be made based on my body type and structure. She has such an eye for details! I just had my final try-on yesterday and the dress is perfect!!! It fits like it was made for me, and now it really is because of Jeannie's work. She is totally worth the price and the timeline. With decades of experience and a true passion for her work, I would highly recommend Jeannie to anyone looking to get their dream dress fitted perfectly. I am forever grateful to her.

The material of my wedding dress was so delicate and layered. She made sure to be so careful and intentional while handling it. My dress came in late from the bridal shop 2 months before our wedding and (I was SO stressed) we were struggling to find a place to take it to. Jeannie literally saved the day and alleviated all of our stress in one visit with her. She finished my dress alterations with no problems and was so helpful in answering any and all questions we had. Thank you for everything, we are so grateful!
