I almost never write reviews but the experience was so good that I have too. Everything went so smooth, so easy that I had my selection done in less time than it took to drive there. And I got washer/dryer installed faster than I expected (I didn't need that last trip to the laundromat!) And when there was a small issue, they handled it quickly. We purchased a 36" range, a 30" microwave, and a 36" hood front Vent-A-Hood, which was sold to us as one of the top-tier options available. Unfortunately, we ran into a significant issue with the hood. Although our salesperson had confirmed a few dimensions, the duct cover still came in too long, and we weren't made aware that Vent-A-Hood products are less versatile compared to other brands. This caused a lot of stress, especially since we were initially told returns weren't allowed. However, after further communication, Felicia and Chris truly went above and beyond to resolve the issue. They helped us get the correct duct cover size and even sent us a beautiful gift basket as a gesture of goodwill. In the end, we're very happy with our appliances and our selections. Our only advice to future customers is to always request full product specifications and review them with your contractor to ensure everything will fit as expected. read more

We had a 27 yo SubZero refrig. (Still working) and Davies Appliance, Felicia Marhx helped us replace our "old friend." We were unable to reuse the custom cabinet panels for the refrig. front, so we opted for the KitchenAid 46" side by side. I discovered Davies Appliance's Fremont location based on an online search last month. I didn't quite have a stellar experience with another independently owned appliance store that is also located in the same county looking for a built in fridge for my parents. Dan Lanting has been wonderful to work with and immediately I can tell he was very knowledgeable, friendly and honest based on our first phone conversation. As of yet I've purchased appliances for three rehab projects that we are currently working on so far. I highly recommend working with Dan and we plan on continuing to do so. My family and I were looking for a new refrigerator to replace our failing LG refrigerator and stopped by Davies Appliance to see if we could find something suitable. When we stopped by, we were greeted quickly by a sales associate named Brandon. Brandon was very friendly in his interactions and very knowledgable. We gave him the measurements to our existing refrigerator and he gave us a run-down of all the different replacement options that would fit our space requirements, as well as offer the functionality we were looking for. We never felt like Brandon tried to upsell us on anything we didn't want. In terms of logistics, Brandon provided a clear and accurate timeframe for the delivery of the new refrigerator. I was pleasantly surprised to find out our new refrigerator would be delivered a week after we placed our order. When delivery day came, the process could not have been smoother. I received a phone call 30 minutes before the delivery folks arrived. When the refrigerator was being unloaded from the truck, the workers worked carefully and quickly, making sure not to damage anything in our space. The included removal of our old refrigerator was also a smooth and fast process, as was the installation. I cannot recommend Davies Appliance enough if you're shopping for new appliances. The service here is top-notch and you get the personal touch that you would not find at other big box retailers like Home Depot or Best Buy. read more

I have purchased many appliances from Davies Appliance in Redwood City and had been happy with their good service and prices, but found the new Davies Appliance on 45957 Hotchkiss Street in Fremont that had been newly opened with a larger warehouse of appliances available. I ordered a new Sub-Zero refrigerator from the General Manager, Dan Lanting who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The new Sub-Zero The service of installation was very professional as they were able to overcome changes that I had made over the years. They overcame those waterline changes and they were able to do it quickly. My old Sub-Zero was over 25 years old , this new one was much brighter and more beautiful. We bought a new Bosch dishwasher and Bosch double oven. Felicia helped us choose the correct models with the features we wanted. She was very professional and knowledgeable. The installation was also done in a professional manner; they use a contractor that knows his stuff. We did not have an easy installation. We needed to have a new outlet added for the dishwasher, we needed to have water and drain lines moved, a new hot water valve installed, we needed a larger space to accommodate the new oven and also needed to have the power outlet for the oven moved from behind the oven, to the cabinet above the oven (for access), and a new 40 amp circuit breaker installed to replace our existing 15 amp breaker. Their contractor, although not inexpensive, is worth every penny. The installation was done beautifully and we love it. As a 30 plus year resident of Fremont, it's nice to have a local appliance store that has great products and the resources to have those products installed correctly and professionally. read more

Our built in refridgerator broke and we were in urgent need of a replacement. Our nephew told us of the soft opening of Davies in Fremont which was so close to home. Went down and was immediately impressed with their showroom. We got the best service from Dan. He showed us refridgerator models on the floor and offered suggestions of which would work and reliable. We got quotes and went home to do our research. We utimately placed our order with Davies and lucky for us, the built in refridgerator was in stock. We were in the market for new appliances and by happenstance we received a mailer from them on their newly opened location in Fremont. We went there and were helped by Dan Lanting, the GM of the Fremont Store. While we were not sure of the appliances, that we needed for our ADU, we engaged with Dan via email over the next 10 days. We posed questions, asked for data sheets and changed models and asked for comparisons of this option vs that option and a myriad of other questions.
