Best shopping experience ever. I HATE weddings, but I love my fiancé...so I agreed to do the traditional walk down the aisle. I told Karla Somoza what I wanted (something pink) and what my budget was. She came back with several options and did not bring any over my budget. I appreciated that so much! Other places try and push more expensive dresses on you. She did not. She listened and truly wanted to help me find something I liked. She was so helpful with getting me in and out of those dresses. I received a called stating my dress was in and ready for pick up, I'm not sure of the lady who called me but she offered free shipping. I asked if I come and try the dress on to make sure everything was perfect and of course, it was (with the dress), I asked if I would I still be able to take advantage of the free shipping and she assured me I would be able to. Well, when I arrived to try on my dress I was told I had to take it with me. After speaking with a manager the dress was shipped I will never use their shipping again! I was under the impression it would be shipped very nice in a nice package, not in a bag with my dress being bald up. I'm not at all happy about this and I am praying that my dress is not damaged in any way. I wanted my dress shipped to avoid stuffing it in a suitcase and it was shipped worse than I imagined. read more

Worst customer service I have received in a long time. Their "hostess" who is often Sydney is extremely rude and has a complex about her bridal store career. She will roll her eyes at you without hesitation. We walked out of the store due to her actions. This will probably fall upon def ears because Tucson is lacking in the bridesmaid dress department, however I will gladly travel hours to avoid going to this awful store ever again. Aside from their customer service issues, their gowns are very low quality and overpriced. I'm recently engaged and have been shopping around for wedding dresses. In Tucson, I feel as if there are some limited options, so I wanted to go see what David's Bridal had to offer. A lot of their items are inexpensive and I thought saving money could be a perk of going. I went online and made a reservation, as well as noted that I would bring a few friends to help me look at dresses. The online process seemed quite simply. When I showed up to try on dresses I met with the front counter attendant that greets you when you enter the store. I told him that I had a reservation, which he was able to look up and confirm. The appointment was for 5pm and we had arrived around 445, so we were a bit early. He told us to go ahead and start looking around and that someone would come to help us. The store did not look overly crowded but you could tell there were a few different people there trying on dresses -- mostly prom dresses, or bridesmaid dresses, surprisingly. Since we were early, we expected to wait until around 5pm to be helped. We just started looking at different dresses -- which is hard because they're all in bags hanging, so you may not know exactly what you're looking for. By 5:30 we were still waiting for someone to actually help us. One of my friends decided to go ask the guy at the front desk how long we were going to need to wait. He said it would only be a few more minutes. At 5:45 he came over and said not to worry and that "your appointment does not start until we help you" and not to worry because "this browsing won't count towards your time." It seemed like a DUH statement. Of course this doesn't count towards my time, as I have not even been helped, despite making an appointment. A few minutes later an attendant came over and was quite cheerful. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt -- maybe it isn't her fault that my appointment didn't start on time. She took me back with my party and took a few measurements. She asked what I was interested in and I gave her a few ideas. She then handed me a wedding book of all their looks and told me to select a few from the book, because she had to go finish ringing someone up at the front register. SIGH. I had just told her what I wanted to see. But, I took a deep breath and marked a few pages (bring your own post it notes, the don't actually give you anything to select the looks you're interested in with!). A good 10 minutes later she came back and looked at my selections, then went to pull some dresses. Unfortunately, two of the dresses were not in the store we were at, so I'll never know what those looked like. But oh well, I can understand that. I tried on two dresses without her help -- my sister actually had to help clip the dress and zip it because the attendant was nowhere to be found. So much for help, although I'd recommend my sister for the job. By the third dress the attendant was back -- and had brought some dresses she thought would be nice for me. I had said I wasn't interested in a mermaid. She brought one. I said I wasn't really a fan of the satin, but she brought one of those, too. I tried both on just to confirm I did not like them. Seemed like she was wasting time. Finally found a dress that I liked, along with a veil, and we went to the front to discuss the ordering process. There was a lengthy wait for her to determine how long it took the dress to arrive. She then started discussing alteration appointments and deadlines -- I hadn't even ordered the dress yet because she didn't have the finalized price yet! She then started talking about a discount on bridesmaid dresses, which again, I just want to know the cost of the dress I just tried on. Ugh. And then the veil, a very tiny thing, was quoted at $150 and she said I should probably buy it right that second because they only had 2 left in stock and it takes 22 weeks to get a veil. What? Needless to say, I was having some reservations about committing to a dress -- especially when the alterations policy wasn't clear on how much that would cost, and that if the dress did not arrive in time they wouldn't be able to "fit me into the alterations schedule." Well, why would I commit to the dress if you don't know if you will be able to alter it??? The service was terrible. Absolutely terrible! I decided that I'm going to look around a bit more before I decide on the David's Bridal dress. I wouldn't recommend this place though. If you make a reservation online, that doesn't mean anything to them, apparently. read more

My mom changed her mind on alterations and they told us to just go pick up the dress. When I got there they couldn't find it, my sister had the appointment together with my mom so I gave them her name to see if they were together. Without asking they removed the pins off my sisters dress (she's from out of town) and then asked me if I wanted a refund for it. My mom had never paid so I was just picking hers up. Now my sister can't come in and her dress won't be altered in time for my wedding by them. I left the store with both dresses, I will be telling my bridesmaids not go to there to get them altered. read more

I bought my wedding dress at a David's Bridal in another state about a year before my wedding, and ended up losing a fair amount of weight in the 6 months following. The salespeople at the Tucson store were very kind and let me swap my dress for the same one in a smaller size, even though didn't have it in stock and needed to have it shipped in from Phoenix. I also had my alterations done there, and the seamstress was very kind and professional, not once saying anything about my back-fat (LOL!). I only needed a minor hem job and a simple bustle, and it ended up being more expensive than taking it to another shop, but it was just easier to have it done there. Overall, everyone I dealt with there was very polite and helpful, so I have no complaints! read more

Just had my first (and subsequently last!) appointment at David's Bridal today. From the moment me and my "squad" walked in we were greatly by friendly and enthusiastic staff. I am not one to try on dresses regularly, didn't even go to prom! Needless to say I was SO nervous to go in today. Steven helped me and my crew within minutes of signing in, was extremely knowledgeable, FUN to work with, and was always available. I had an amazing time, tried on all the dresses I wanted to, and said yes to the dress in the end!. I went here with my sister to try on bridesmaid dresses. I was overwhelmed when I walked inside because of the amount of inventory. It felt very corporate compared to all the local places we went to. I also think the employees aren't as helpful or have the same taste and experience compared to local boutiques. The prices are decent and there's definitely a variety in styles. I wish they had more color options in stock though because it was difficult to envision what a dress would look like in an alternate color. The fitting rooms don't have mirrors, which bothered me. We found potential dresses and it's convenient that there are David Bridal stores everywhere since the bridesmaids live in various states. read more

Im adding additional comments in regards to Davids Bridal on Oracle Rd in Tucson Arizona. After speaking to SEley, he did go above and beyond to make my experience right. Not only did he track down 1 of the dresses I wanted, he had the dress, brand new, delivered from another location, delievered to the oracle, store. And he kept in constant contact with me. Once the dress was delievered, they scheduled an appointment for me to come in and try it on. It was the exact dress I wanted. It was in great condition and fit perfectly. Not only was I satisfied with the dress, they offered the dress to me for $99.00 even after the sale was over. I have to say, im not 1 to complain, but it was only right to get the treatment I deserved and that is why im adding to my post. They did make things right and I am happy with my dress! Store does not have a lot of the dresses seen online but nevertheless they do have a wide selection of trumpet, a line and ballgown dresses. I didn't like that everyone is in a common area and some people do not care if you see them in their underwear. My Oleg Cassini was exquisite but I had a poor experience with the alterations. The lady was kind and helpful and knew exactly what I wanted but the quality of the bustling was terrible. The buttons were difficult to put through the loops (be better if an elastic type loop was made) and the entire thing fell apart less than an hour of being bustled. The buttons completely popped off. My train dragged the whole reception and is now soiled black. I expect better for $250 alterations on a $1300 dress. UPDATE: A rep from David's Bridal contacted me about the faulty bustle and offered me a refund. This shows me that they cared about my satisfaction and took the chance to make it right. We went in last night for my daughter to choose her dress. First THANK YOU for being open until 9:00 p.m. so we could coordinate a visit after my daughter finished work for the day. Cassandra was our consultant, and she was so helpful. She was respectful of my daughter's preferences, which are more modest than many, and very respectful of her stated budget. She made very sure that my daughter understood a certain dress we were looking at was above her budget and asked permission before pulling it. The belts and veils she added with some of the dresses were really well-chosen: this girl knows her job. She was also very tolerant of the bride's younger sister who can be a little brash. My daughter chose her dress on her first visit, in no small part thanks to Cassandra's skill in determining what to pull based on how the bride reacts to each dress as they go along in the appointment. The store manager also made a point of greeting us and thanking us for coming in, and telling us that we shouldn't hesitate to call for her if she was needed. I'd recommend this store to anyone. This is my first experience as mother of the bride, and David's Bridal in Tucson couldn't have performed their role better. read more

After spending over a year coordinating my custom wedding dress it came in looking horrible!!! Six weeks left until my wedding and no dress. I ran to David's and met the most wonderful people who helped me through my crisis. Amber, Robert, Jewel, Yahaira, Ellen, and Dulce turned my catastrophe into a fairytale. David's was able to get a new dress in an estimated four weeks and it came in a week early. Their alterations took me in the same day and got the dress completed in two weeks. While I'm not posting photos because my wedding isn't until next week, my dress is elaborate and was not the easiest to alter, but they made it happen and it fit perfectly. Being four months postpartum, I felt beautiful! They went over and above to make my experience positive and make me feel beautiful. Got my bridesmaid dress and it fit perfectly in store one month prior and then did not fit when I got it, later learned from another David's bridal that they're supposed to order a size up because the dresses get stretched out from trying them on. Even called their alterations and the woman working played stupid and said "uh bring the dress in I guess? Don't know how that'd happen" I would never step foot in this store again even if my life depended on it, they're all absolute idiots. None of them know what they're doing. I brought my dress from David's bridal in Florida and had a great experience. I'm renewing my vowels and wanted to wear my dress again. After waiting 5 weeks for an appointment they wouldn't even LOOK at my dress and refused to do the alterations I need, the dress is at least 6 sizes too big and I can't wear it as it is. the assistant told me to take it to the dry cleaners!!!!! I just moved from Texas and have been struggling/feeling out of place for my role as maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. It's very hard to provide emotional support and help out with wedding planning when I live in a different state! That being said, one of my concerns was not being apart of the choosing/fitting of bridesmaids' dresses. Luckily, my friend and part of the wedding party chose their dresses at a David's Bridal in Texas. Thus, making it easier for me to come to the local store here and try on the same dress! Unfortunately, there was not much of a selection of sizes in the specific dress I needed to purchase. However, the situation was accomodated by having me try on a similar style dress they had in my size. Having felt a little out of place and unsure of how my first dress fitting would go, I was immediately put at ease with Robert Molina's friendly smile and charismatic attitude! I felt like I was talking with a friend. We chatted while I waited to try on my dress and he also answered the many questions I had about possible alterations and a follow up appointment. Walked in around noon on a Thursday. Was unaware appts are preferred. Due to this me (the bride) and my friend were treated very rudely and the staff basically refused to help us. After about 30 minutes we asked for help a 2nd time and were told to sign in to get assistance from a stylist. After another 45 minutes and no assistance I was chastised for taking a wedding gown "off the rack" as apparently only stylist can do this, which we were unable to get help from. Mother of the Bride here. 1st time ever trying on wedding dresses. I agree with Autumn from the earlier review, Davids books way too many appts to give any woman a "Special Experience". First, our consultant told us they are only allowed "one chair" per party. Really? I may be spending thousands of dollars and you'll only allow 1 fold up chair for our party? (which only consisted of 2 of us and the bride) ugh! Then, our consultant didn't seem too versed in what the store had to offer, pulled dresses my daughter had preselected and when she showed the consultant the parts of two dresses (one from the top, one the bottom) she couldn't come up with any idea of other dresses. Also, when my daughter wanted to try on a dress she saw in the store, the consultant tried to talk her out of it. I later figured out she was trying to end the appt for her next. We felt rushed. ALSO, she didn't know how to pin the dresses properly to show it off, the manager (who was fantastic!) came over and redid the pins so the dresses looked WAY better on my daughter. We liked one dress but went to another appt across the street at Alfred Angleos and I would suggest all brides to go there. Not only did the consultant see what my daughter was showing her with the top of one dress but the bottom of another: she brought my daughter the perfect dress (the 1st she pulled for her) and we bought it. OHHHH, not to mention that Davids didn't say anything about their military discount. Angelos asked and gave a whooping 30% off (compared to David's 10). Got her dress, undergarments and veil for less than just the dress at Davids and the dress at Angelos was MORE than at Davids. As the earlier reviewer said, if you just want/need a cheap dress: go to Davids, if you want to feel like a Bride, go to Alfred Angelo's. read more

Came here to get sized for bridesmaid dresses and the lady that helped us (Veronica I believe) was super helpful and great! She was very sweet and made the process super easy! After the sizing, myself and one of the other bridesmaids went to go grab some dresses for the bride after asking if we could, and on our way back we were immediately stopped by two other women and they all but treated us like little children. It at first was just a simple misunderstanding about being able to grab the dresses, but I have never felt so talked down to or disrespected in a place like this. They spoke in a very demeaning manner and looked at us like we were some of the dumbest people on the planet. I was shocked at how rude they were. I was very pleased with my service. They are a huge chain retail store, they get busy just like any other place and I have a feeling that these other reviews might not be 100% truthful. Each encounter I have had has always been pleasant. Even when they were at their busiest, they assured me when I would be assisted and it was within a timely manner. A woman with a broken arm helped me with my dress! I couldn't believe it, but she was able to efficiently help me even while injured. The Alterations Department, the front desk, the cashier, and the women who have helped me try on dresses have always been nice and accommodating. My bridesmaids have had no issues with their bridesmaids dresses either. I will definitely return here if need be and refer them to my friends and family. read more

Way over priced and the return policy is ridiculous. A child's dress should not cost as much as an adults. Imperfections in the dress not noticed until after the purchase, manager stated could exchange it but "like for like" no money return. Now why would I do that when I feel like I got taken advantage of? Shop online for children's sizes way better variety and if it doesn't fit it's cheap enough to order another compared to this place. Alright, so HOW has this place NEVER been reviewed? I actually thought I myself had written something up about them. In the last four years, I've been in three and a half weddings (the half comes from being a part of a friend's wedding until we had a huge falling out and I ended up not having to purchase her hideously pale green colored bridesmaid dress). Each time, I went here because I was living in Tucson and the wedding was either taking place in town or out of state. I also bought my prom dress for Junior prom here off the clearance rack. Having spent close to $400 on bridesmaids dresses here I feel I've earned the right to complain about their service. For the last wedding I was going to be part of, which was taking place out of state, I wanted to get things done quickly, but accurately as I had a limited amount of time (they planned everything in less than 4 months). I stopped in, waited for an associate to come "assist" me, and finally got to try on dresses. I picked out the 3 different styles of dresses my friend told us we could choose from, but in 2 or 3 different sizes and colors (they didn't have her mocha and cognac in the store at that time in my size). I agreed to purchase a size __ because that was the same size I'd fit into and purchased for the previous two weddings. The salesgirl was a total b-word and looked me up and down, took the dresses from my arms and laid them down, then led me over to an area where she could "take my measurements." They hadn't done this the last couple of times I'd made a purchase from the store and if you're going to take someone's measurements, wouldn't it make more sense to do so BEFORE you allow them to try on several dresses? When I said I'd be getting the size 12 (2nd time telling her), she said, "Yeah well.. some girls say they're going to lose weight and then actually end up not doing so." Baaack the eff up. Excuse me?! I didn't say anything about needing to lose weight. I was so offended that I told her to forget the sale and that I was leaving. I did end up coming back (I had to, I didn't know I could order the dresses online at the time) and luckily was able to place the dress order without re-trying things on (with the blond rude man) and left the store shortly after. Oh, and just incase that nasty salesgirl sees this, the dress fit like a glove. read more

Stevie was fantastic! She was very personable and attentive. She kept in mind all of my best friends wants in a dress and exactly what she was looking for. Stevie showed us many beautiful dresses throughout the store and was so patient, we never once felt rushed. With the event being 2 weeks away we weren't so hopeful that she would find a dress for her vow renewal but Stevie made it happen! My best friend found her beautiful dress and it will be ready in time for Hawaii (only 2 weeks away). We are beyond greatful for the wonderful experience. I have been in customer service for 10 years, as a result I find myself constantly on the look out for people who Excell in their profession. Robert help me too not only feel like a bride, but he refused to let me try and sneak by unnoticed. I'm not the type to have a big deal made over myself, today I was reminded otherwise. Now that my wedding is three weeks away (WOW, feels like just yesterday that I got my dress!), I figured I'd write my final review about David's Bridal. I'm very torn on what rating to give... I have had some really bad experiences, but the staff always makes up for them and MOST of them are really kind. Would I recommend my friends use David's Bridal? Probably not. At least not for the ENTIRE process like I did (seriously, I bought EVERYTHING from them). As shown by my first review, my wedding dress shopping experience was amazing. I still think it was! However, it went downhill from there and for the past year, it has seemed that it's just been one thing after another with David's Bridal. My second review was about my appointment in Tucson for one of my bridesmaids' dresses. It went horrible. I don't really need to recap or anything. I will say that the district manager promptly replied to my comment and also sent me a message here on Yelp, which was GREATLY appreciated. Before I replied to her message however, I had received my slip for under my dress in the mail. I had been up at the location in Roseville (for my sister's dress) and the stylist that was helping us ordered me a fit and flare slip for an a-line gown. I know, it doesn't make sense, but I figured it's her job so she should know what she's doing... right? I got the slip in the mail and tried it on with the dress. It looked horrible. Like so horrible that I burst into tears and literally called my store here in Tucson in a panic because I did not want to wear this slip under my dress. I just wanted to exchange it for the RIGHT style. I told the lady who answered the phone what was going on and her reply? "Well all sales are final. A manager might be able to help you but I doubt it." I told her that a manager better be able to help me because it's not like I chose this slip, it was recommended to me. I said I'd be in the next day to exchange it. Her reply was, "Okay. Let me take down your name so I can warn them that you're coming in." Warn them??? I'm not like Bridezilla coming to burn the place down, I just want the right slip! This was when I finally replied to the district manager's email. She called me the next morning and was so, so kind. She told me that they already have the right slip there on hold and that I could return it with no issues. Then the store manager (Susan, I believe... I feel like I should start sending her Christmas cards or something, she has been wonderful to me) called me and let me know that I could come in that day for alterations, too (see second review about how a stylist didn't let me make an alterations appointment). I went in for alterations and the gentleman in there was wonderful. Everyone was really nice to me and I was glad to get my alterations taken care of. Back in April, I went and got my rehearsal dinner dress from yet another location up in Washington. I got home and took the dress out to try it on for my fiance only to find that the store had left the sensor on it (I said "one thing after another", right?). The next day, I took it to the store here in Tucson where Susan was working and she immediately recognized me. They took off the sensor with no issue at all, which I thank them for because I honestly thought it was going to be a huge battle since I didn't have the receipt with me. They just looked it up on my account and that was it! I am beyond grateful for that. The very last ordeal occurred about two weeks ago, when I unzipped my garment bag just to gaze at my dress and daydream a little tiny bit about my upcoming wedding... I noticed a small stain on the front of my dress. It literally looks like someone accidentally pressed a ballpoint pen up against it. I knew it wasn't me who had done that because it was my first time even opening up the garment bag since alterations. I called my store (I feel like at this point, when they see my number pop up, they're probably like, "OH GOD IT'S HER" ;) haha) and I can't remember who I spoke with but she was really nice as well and said to bring my dress in two weeks before my wedding and they can steam it and also get the stain out. For anyone looking into using David's Bridal for their wedding, my advice is to do so with caution. Some of the people at this location are awesome, some aren't. Some will go above and beyond for you (like Susan did for me) and some just simply don't care. I can also imagine that there isn't as much drama if you don't travel as much as myself as well. ;) read more

Oh my goodness what a magical day! My appointment was on time and Audrey was as sweet as could be and very attentive! It was perfect to go mid week! She helped me and another client but it feels like VIP one on one! They had undergarments and shoes and everything to try with the dress. We even had time left over to look at brides maid dresses. I did come prepared though! Use their app and save dresses they carry to your favorites to streamline your visit. Had a VERY horrible experience at David's bridal. It was super over crowded with brides for one. My party had to stand up, other bridal parties were sitting on the floor. The lady who help me & my wedding party didn't listen to me when she asked what kind of style of dress I was looking for. I'm a very curvy petite person & wanted something very tight fitted to show my curves & hips, nothing too blingy or too much tool.. She was bringing nothing I asked for, everything she brought out made me look very boxy, too blingy, a lot of tool & just ugly as hell. Then when my sister in law brought a dress for me to try (the style I wanted & liked), she took it from her & put it back where she found it. Ugh I was mad. Then I noticed it seems like all the consultants bring out the same dresses, just rotated around when their client is done using it. I felt rushed & It was super frustrating I wanted to break down in tears. I tried on 6dresses she brought out & NONE OF THEM were anything that o asked for. Styles are very very very limited.. I left crying & frustrated. My mom called Laura's Bridal on Broadway and Columbus to see if they could take us because of our situation that just happened. When we arrived. She right away asked me for my price range, style I was going for & my must haves and don'ts. It was very personal, one on one. No other brides & very quiet. Plenty of seats for my family. My family picked out 2dresses & the consultant picked out four. OMG not only did she listen to what I wanted but all 6 dresses were super beautiful. Every dress I tried on she gave me the style #, style name, designer & information about the dress. No rush took my time. I found my dress & cried like a baby in happy tears!! I my dress name is "Lansing" by Maggie Sottero. Do not got to David's Bridals!! Try out mom & pops stores 1st. Way better selections, better quality, one on one customer service and prices are better!! read more

This is the 3rd time I have bought a dress from David's Bridal, 2 bridesmaid dresses and my wedding dress. I usually just work with whichever sales rep helps me first , but from now on I will be asking for Karla Somoza every time. I needed a dress quickly that usually has to be custom ordered, I thought I would have to settle on a different dress but Karla assured me she would find it. She was able to find a store in Arksnsas that had my dress and it is being shipped to me now! She put in more effort and provided a higher level customer service than I have ever received there! went to david's bridal here in tucson to try on a brides maid dress for a friend who is getting married in a few months in california. nice thing about david's bridal, is that it's a chain store so the same dresses can be found in all of their locations across the united states.. the service was pretty good (but at first a bit slow). they helped me find the dress the bride wanted me to try on, and also had a few others that i go to try on and take pictures of to send to the bride for suggestions. read more

I will never shop here again. I came in looking for a prom dress, and fell in love with a beautiful $80 dress. When i went back to buy it three days later, they had upped the price to 200 dollars and even fought with me that the dress had never been $80- which was a blatant lie. I can't believe the terrible customer service this place had to offer me. read more

I came here to find a veil and sash for my wedding dress. I worked with the store manager who was very helpful and willing to switch veils back and forth for half an hour. I really appreciated her patience with me! I also brought in a slip to exchange for store credit and she made that process so smooth. Everyone in the store was great! read more
