Trash company with trash customer service. I ordered 6 ties from them and was charged $118.96. The ties are supposedly made to order. I get an email that 2 of 6 ties are out of stock. Weird if they're made to order but whatever. I cancel the order. They refund me for each tie separately, and then only issue refunds for 5 ties, not 6. I contact them, am told the refund is coming. I contact them again, am told they see that the refund for 1 tie is missing and will be refunded within 48 hours. Still no refund and it's been 5 days. I'm furious that I have to waste my time chasing down $19.83. PS- the ties are still available as made to order on their website. So be warned, they're probably not in stock And then you too could be planning a wedding and dealing with added stress from David's, every bride's dream. read more

TLDR: their top stylist Anna verbally assaulted my teenage brother, and their only solution offered was a 10% discount Megan was my consultant during this walk in appointment and she was really great. But unfortunately towards the end of my appointment, a woman came charging towards my brother (A TEENAGER) who was sitting with my sister outside my dressing room and yelled at him that women were changing and it was not appropriate for him to be there. Then he moved off to the side, she yelled at him again and threw a chair down in the front of the store for him to sit facing the wall. At this point, I'm a little annoyed and finish getting changed and decide to say something privately to her. I let her know that I didn't like the way she spoke to my brother and that I would not be buying anything given her display of disrespect. FYI this was my first time ever shopping for a dress ever since I never went to prom or anything. I brought my siblings for their honesty as I value their opinions. She raised her voice and argued that she wasn't being rude because she found a chair for him. I told her not to shout at me especially in front of other customers. She yells at me some more, calling me sweetie, insinuating I brought him as my "little boyfriend" (ew) to watch girls get changed, claiming she's a "top stylist" who does this all the time. I say this is totally absurd given that the dressing rooms are entirely closed off from wall to floor and if anyone wanted extra privacy there was another dozen rooms on the other side of the store to get changed in. Her own client brought their boyfriend and she made him move too. She insisted it was the rule and spoke so authoritatively I thought she was the manager. I ask for her name and she said I don't need to know. So I turn and go to the front to ask another employee. She follows me, shouting and making a scene, getting in my face. I ask the front desk what her name was and they tell me, ANNA. It's hilarious that I'm reading so many reviews about Anna being so nice. Maybe there are two Anna's! Because this one was unprofessional and entirely rude. Anna is now yelling at me in front of the manager and other staff. They are telling Anna to stop and she won't let up. I let them know her attitude and her yelling at me was unacceptable and that I'd never shop here again. They said they understood but could find a time that she would not be there for me to come back. Any time you have to schedule a customer around your VOLATILE employee's shifts, shouldn't that be a red flag to you about who you hire? We ask if it's policy for men not to be present while women try on dresses. They say no, and that they don't know why she said it was. The manager apologizes and says she will discuss it with Anna, and is begging me to come back, telling me they will treat me "right" and that Anna was wrong and embarrassed their business. Someone who works there even came up to me after and said Anna had been so profoundly ridiculous and embarrassed her so much by her behavior that she was sweating. I was like, GIRL ME TOO. Because listen, I'm the first person!! at any time!! any place!!! to argue about a man being in women's business or to let a man know when he is taking up space in a women centered/specific environment. But this was totally unfounded, and her aggressive behavior when I told her that I didn't think it was okay shows me she is NOT someone who should be working at DB. When people go to this store it's in search of a dress for some of the most important days of their lives. Of course they want brothers, fathers, grandfathers etc to be present and help them make the decision to pick out "the" dress. Will all of them be bullied out by this woman??? Did she target my family specifically for a reason?? Unfortunately I'll never know because I will never be returning. So my first ever experience buying a dress was ruined thanks to Anna! Don't go here. And if you do, don't go when Anna is working. (Which is apparently, too often). Zero stars for Anna. This store is the perfect example of how a retail store should NOT be run. Between the unprofessionalism, lack of organization, and the inability to provide any sort of quality customer service - this is the absolute worst retail experience I've ever had. I am getting married in October. I [regretfully] purchased my dress from here. My "stylist", although she was very overwhelmed, was decent. There were some issues trying to explain the size I wanted - she was trying to order my dress 3 sizes larger than I needed it although I explained I want it in my normal size. A manager had to come over and intervene so it could be correctly ordered. Funny enough, someone warned me that they try to order your dress incorrectly sized so that you will come back and pay for alterations. What a joke, and honestly, a disgusting way to try and retain business. After I ordered my dress in November, I came back in January to order the dresses for my bridesmaids (very stupid decision). I made the appointment weeks in advance - they knew a group of 7 people were coming in, 5 of them needing to try on dresses. It was beyond crowded and an extremely chaotic situation. There were not enough rooms for people to try on dresses, in the middle of trying on dresses the stylist was coming over and taking dresses so a different group could try them on. Again, let me reiterate, there were *five* people in my group needing to try on a dress. We had the color/fabric/style picked out - it should not have been as complicated as it was. To top all of this off, I got to witness an employee yell at a stylist directly in front of me. A wonderful thing to do in front of your customers. ..now, in the month of February, 3 out of the 5 dresses are ready for pickup. On 3 separate occasions, these dresses were picked up by the girls. ALL OF THEM WERE THE INCORRECT SIZE AND DID NOT MATCH ANYTHING THAT WAS ON THEIR RECEIPT. Was it a misunderstanding, or was it the little "trick" that this company uses in order to try to get these girls to come back for alterations? I contacted the store manager to see if maybe she can offer some sympathy, god forbid apologize for their mistake - best she could do is tell me that "people's bodies change". I did not ask for an anatomy lesson, I asked for a resolution to my issue. Telling me people's bodies change does not explain why a dress was ordered 4 sizes smaller than what a customer wanted. I'm leaving a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I will absolutely be contacting corporate. 3 dresses had to be re-ordered, and I just cannot wait to see what the issue is with the next two! I will absolutely never ever recommend this store, or this company to anyone. I had the worse experience ever as a new bride to be. I had an appointment and I was treated like a third world citizen by a hungry stylist who has to drop assisting me with my wedding dress for every new customer entering and I had an appointment. This complaint was addressed by the manager whom acted sincere over the phone offering $75 credit for my troubles which she ran the comedian scenario scheme when I called her a month later to inform her I never got the credit on my debt card. You know, with the the checking to savings skit because I never got the refund to this day and that was June 2021. A bunch of hungry, overcharging, scheming fast talkers. This is an update to my previous nice review. I went to David's Bridal in Westbury and bought my bridal shower dress-experience was good. I went back to the store in Massapequa and bought a cathedral veil that was in a bag 50% off for $150-experience was good. I went back to the Massapequa store on 8/27/18 to get my veil steamed. When I bought my veil, I tried it on in the store and took pictures of it from behind-perfect condition. The veil sat in a bag in my closet until it was time to get it steamed. I was told the veil would take 15-20 minutes to get it steamed. I ended up waiting an HOUR and was told by a blonde manager with glasses that there were rips in my veil. She asked if I was aware of this and I said no. I second guessed myself and didn't have the photos with me of the veil. She told me that I would need to get a new one and could use what I paid for it-which none of the cathedral veils they had were $150-all much more. I ended up paying another $50 for a new cathedral veil (I liked my original much better). I was so angry and was trying to gather my thoughts-did I rip it, did they rip it? I just had to go see my photo of the veil when I got home. I got home and saw that the veil was not ripped in the pictures and was so angry. I knew it was my word against theirs-but the girl in the back room totally destroyed the veil while trying to steam it-why would it take an hour to steam anyway? They most likely had a "Oh Sh*t" moment and tried to put the blame on me. I went back to the store last Wednesday, 9/12/18 and spoke to the same manager woman. She wasn't very accommodating at all and said she would call corporate and it would take 24-48 hours-still haven't heard from her. They suck-spend more $ on your dresses/veil and don't do business with them. I should have listened to other people about not going there. read more

Went to David's bridal at Massapequa Park without an appointment just to browse for my daughter's prom dress. Stylist Anna took care of us. She was so pleasant and helpful with several of the dresses my daughter tried on. She made my daughter feel happy and beautiful throughout the whole time she was there...and it was such a fun experience for her. I had an issue with my Bridesmaids dress coming on time, which actually the delivery time extended and would not be here in time for the wedding. On my second visit (I should of never came back) while I was looking through the rack one of the employees came over squeezed herself in between myself & my friend (about a 2ft window) WITHOUT SAYING A WORD to grab a dress off the rack. My Fiancee has been stopping in here and there to pick up items for our upcoming wedding. She also had been ordering off of the website as well. After ordering a pair of shoes online which ended up running a little too large, we were informed we couldn't return/exchange them in the store for the right size. Everything with this place is a hassle, every sale in store is final. Every online order must be returned online only. It's like they are anti-consumer just to make things difficult. No bending or working with the customer at all. We will not be using them for any more things we need for our wedding. I had a pleasant first bridal experience at this location. I had to get a wedding dress for April 2017, and I brought one of my bridesmaids, whom needed a bridesmaid dress as well, and my future MIL with me. There are so many dresses that I was so overwhelmed upon walking in. The girl at the front podium got my information as I made an appointment for this day. Theresa was the lady that helped me with my dress vision. I showed her photos from the David's Bridal website that I saved on the app and she knew exactly what I was looking for. She brought us over to a section of dressing rooms and sat us down while she went to look for dresses for me to try on. I think I might have tried on almost ten dresses. There were a few contenders but I ended up finding one that I loved. That's all it took. I ordered it, applied for their credit card, and was told it would come in a few weeks. One of my bridesmaids found a beautiful dress as well. All in all, it was a successful trip. I am super excited to get started with the alterations but I spoke to customer service and they reminded me that they recommend getting the first alteration 6 weeks before the wedding. Upon receiving an email that my dress came in, it turned out to be the wrong dress! I was so upset! Who wouldn't be?! Luckily, after speaking to a couple of people including one of the store managers, they ordered the right one and gave me $50 off. Hopefully I can use that towards the alterations. I finally received the correct dress earlier than expected and made an appointment for alterations. *Edit* I had to edit this review and decrease the rating because when I went in to pick up my wedding dress, my dress was NOT ready and NOBODY called me to tell me that. I specifically made a pick-up appointment with the alterations department on a certain date that they did not seem to have a problem with, but they could not even meet that timeline. I don't know why they couldn't notify me. I had to go back two weeks later and it's a hassle since I don't live in the area. This is probably the THIRD issue I've had with David's Bridal. Definitely not the best customer service. Even though the dresses are affordable, don't come here unless you want to be stressed out. It's a shame but this place kind of sucks. I'm getting married in October. I've been to this location on 3 separate occasions and have had negative experiences each time. A few months ago when I started searching for bridesmaids dresses one woman was super unhelpful and borderline rude. No big deal. I chalked it up to a bad day. 3 weeks ago my sister was in from Pittsburgh and I wanted her there with me, my twin, and my mom to pick 3 dresses for my 11 person bridal party to choose from. I made an appointment online the day before my arrival. When I walked in the woman at the front desk looked at us as if we were aliens. She asked why we were there and I had mentioned that we had an appointment. She rolled her eyes and said that due to the bad weather all appointments were cancelled. I did not receive a call letting me know that my appointment was canceled and I even mentioned that I had called earlier in the day to confirm and no one answered. She snarkily replied that it was because they weren't taking appointments. I found the manager and she ended up being very helpful which I appreciated. So yesterday I arrived with 7 out of my 11 bridesmaids to dress shop. Of course I had made an appointment and I was so looking forward to my shopping trip. When we got there, our consultant was kind of a flake. I told her my name and that I had a wishlist of the 3 dresses I wanted. She ended up bringing over 2 styles in a bunch of sizes but the disappeared. My best friend was dead set on the one shoulder dress but that was the one she didn't bring over. We also needed clips to help size dresses and honestly we needed a consultant there to help us. That's part of the job description. I look over and see her helping other people and carrying purchased dresses into the back. There was another woman who was working the floor that ended up helping us much more than the woman assigned to us. Eventually, my girls settled on their dresses and were up front purchasing but I didn't want the consultant to get the commission for work she didn't do. The woman who helped us was actually the manager and she assured me that she would take care of her. So the moral of this review is to only work with the management. Every other associate is rude and unprofessional. The dresses my bridal party will be wearing are beautiful but I'm not sure the headaches from all the stress and lack of professionalism was necessary. read more

I was a little stressed and nervous when I arrived at the Massapequa DB store to look for wedding dresses for my October wedding. I went to a few other stores and did not receive such a good experience. I was met by a stylist and the store manager, Katie. They were both very genuine and down to earth, instantly making me feel comfortable. I told them what style dress I had in mind but I was open to trying different cuts. They took into consideration my body type, complexion (I'm fair so I went with Ivory) and the time of year so the dress wouldn't be too heavy or light. I fell in love with a dress that needed something extra because it was a bit too plain. Their expertise showed when they came up with the perfect belt, veil and shoes to spruce up my perfect dress. The alterations dept offered suggestions and I walked out a very happy bride. Their product knowledge, genuine, willingness to help and great customer service at the Massapequa store truly gave me a positive experience that I needed because wedding planning can be very stressful. read more

I wrote a long email with the full story to David's Bridal customer service and they provided me with a generic "sorry for your inconvenience". What a terrible company that's supposed to be supporting women on one of the best days of their life. Updated Review: BRIDES BEWARE! So sadly my experience with David's Bridal Massapequa started out great-it ended horribly. To make a long story short when I found "the dress" I obviously tried on the sample they had and with the dress being on sale, before I ordered it had asked if it would be new. Helyna and Iryna stated yes in front of my mother, Aunt, and I. Fast forward a few weeks and the dress comes in. I go to try it on and the dress is clearly worn with makeup stains on the inside, and lace fraying with fuzzies all over the dress. I was obviously upset and Domenika the manager on that day called the central center and found they had 25 in the warehouse and she would do a quality check when it came it to make sure it's new but her original response to me before I had to become assertive was "well it's a clearance dress" really unacceptable but since I loved this dress and they have a no refund policy I agreed to wait for another to come in. Don't you think you should tell someone they're buying a sample instead of lying to them at the point of sale saying it would be new? So fast forward another few weeks I go to try on the 2nd dress which I was assured was to be new and quality checked. I get there and again it's a sample with the same lace fuzzies, beading wire sticking out, and train dirty. The sales manager Nicole was there and very apologetic, she contacted the central center and said that this dress was from 2015 and discontinued and there were no new dresses at all and she didn't know who told me it would be new when it wasn't ever going to be. She then told me she would kindly call around the country to find the least used dress since all left were samples. I got a call back from Nicole a few hours later stating the ones around the country were in worse shape and she would work with her seamstress to have the dress cleaned up. I agreed to come back mid week to look at it. So this past Tuesday I went back and the dress while better was still not 100% and they were not able to accommodate the price I felt was fair for the dress considering I was lied to as I was being sold a sample dress the entire time. I will say though they were willing to take money off though but only after I pushed for more than the 10% offered. After a devastating few weeks I've decided to cut ties with the dress and was given a refund by Nicole even though they don't give refunds which I appreciated. I normally don't like to leave reviews like this but I hope no one gets duped like I did because it's a really horrible feeling to find "the one" to then find out they don't actually have what you think you're buying. I also now understand why they push so hard for good internet reviews while you're in the store as these negative reviews are probably all sadly true. Though was forced to order online, I tried on a few dresses at this location. I would never, ever recommend David's Bridal to anybody and I will never, ever have my future bridesmaids use them. As previously mentioned, I was forced to order online. We were told "You have to order today or the dresses won't come in on time (due to COVID, the wedding preparation was delayed until guidelines changed) and we can't measure you. You have to measure on your own." The women at this store were far from helpful. The style we went with was called "Spaghetti Strap Tie Waist Chiffon Bridesmaid." Every dress I tried on in the store and my measurements told me one size, and my dress was/is too small. Alterations won't/didn't help, as the dress doesn't have any give at all. The small stitch holding the v-neck together ripped apart upon the first time I put it on. The straps dig into my shoulders without a bra and with a bra, it's way too tight. I am a 38DD and my bras are squished into the "cups." This dress is so shoddily made that I am afraid my straps will break at the wedding. As previously mentioned, we were on a time crunch, so there was no time to order another dress. I originally wanted to take my dress to get it altered there in hopes that they can make their own stupid dress more comfortable, and they had no available appointments. Even though my dress only came in a month before the wedding, had they had appointments, they would have made me pay extra for expedited service. They are a sad excuse for a company and don't care about the customer. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This place is an absolute disgrace. I ordered my daughters dress from here. It came in on a Saturday, and we had an alterations on Tuesday at 730pm. We got there at 7:20. There was a girl getting fitted, and another girl in her party that needed to be fitted. Then, another girl walks in. At this point its 8:00 pm. The seamstress seemed very overwhelmed. I said I wouldn't mind changing my appointment, to be accommodating. They told me I can come the next day in the evening. I called to see if I can change it due to my daughter having cheer and they said they didn't even have me in the system for the "new appointment". After telling them that I was very inconvenienced waiting almost 2 hours just to have my appointment rescheduled, they said I had an 11:00 appointment, not 7:30pm. I advised them I have an email confirming my 7:30pm appointment and my daughter is in school at 11, so I would never make that appointment. They didn't care that they were lying.. just said well thats what the computer says.. They then advised me they are going to charge me a rush fee. I told them I did not think it was fair to charge me a fee when I was very understanding about THEM BOOKING TOO MANY ALTERATIONS on a night they only had one seamstress. I started yelling due to frustration and the lady Laura who was rude to begin with, then hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a "manager" that told me thats the policy to charge the rush fee. This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They don't care about their customers whatsoever. read more

The staff were able to fit us in the same day and we came back during our appointment time. They assisted my future mother-in-law as well as myself to find our dresses. When I tried to resolve the MULTIPLE issues I had corporate texted me. You can call corporate but it gives you a message to text and hangs up on you. So helpful. The alterations department didn't know what a slip was when I asked for one, they also don't carry over a D cup for sewn in cups, so much for being inclusive. They say you can make returns up to seven days, but it takes weeks to get your order in, so returns are virtually impossible. They didn't make me feel special at all, one woman was helping me along with 3 other brides at the same time. Then I went for a fitting and the main seamstress was dealing with an "emergency" but she walked out during my appointment and attended to someone who was getting a bridesmaid dress altered. I wish I could give to separate ratings, one for the actual facility and one for the staff. Staff is excellent. Super friendly and helpful. I worked with Nicole and she was fantastic! She kept my family at bay while still listening to what I wanted. After trying on family picked dresses and seeing my reactions she made judgement calls and picked out ones she thought i would like and had some great picks! She made the experience tolerable for me because i was doing it all for my family, i didn't even want to go. thanks nicole! As for the facility, it needs updating. Malaysia was wonderful during my appointment yesterday. I hate being the center of attention and frankly the thought of going to get a wedding dress was pretty daunting for me. She helped so much during the appointment putting me at ease without putting pressure on me or pushing me into a certain dress. I did end up finding the dress and buying it on the spot but she went above and beyond helping pick out accessories and belts and showing me how I can customize the dress by adding straps and truly making it something I'll love on my wedding day, thank you so much! read more

On November 5, I came to this David's Bridal location to begin my search for my wedding dress. It was the first wedding dress appointment I had. I arrived at the store at the same time 2 other brides showed up, but we were all immediately taken care of. My bridal consultant was Rosemary and she was super helpful, super friendly and patient. I had tried on a total of 5 or 6 dresses and it was the 2nd dress I tried on that was the one. I would highly recommend this David's Bridal location. these people cant measure, one mistake after another. My daughter ripped her $400 prom dress 1 hour after getting there because she kept stepping on it. Shop somewhere else where they know how to measure and not waste your money. read more

I went to this location last night to purchase a bridesmaids dress for my cousins wedding in October and I experienced the worse service ever! My cousin had went the week before and purchased her wedding dress from this location and chose the bridesmaids dresses. She was told by the woman who helped her that if her bridemaids purchased their dresses in the next two weeks the dresses are on sale and we would get an additional $20 off because she purchased her wedding dress from them. This being said I made an appointment to purchase the dress even though the wedding is 10 months away. When the associate finally came over I told her which dress I needed and she was able to pull up my cousins registry. She took my measurements and went to go get to dresses to try on. She brought back a size 0 and a size 8. Seriously! Such a ridiculous difference since I am 125 lbs and 5'3". I didn't even try on the size 8 because I knew it would be extremely too big. When I came out the associate was gone and I was left standing there looking around (WASTING MY TIME!). Finally she came over and I told her I would like to purchase the size 0 dress. When she went to ring me up she didn't take the additional $20 off the sale price. I told her what one of her co-workers told my cousin a few days before and she said too bad. I asked to speak with the manager and when the manager came over she was rude and no help. Really a shame because my cousin has 13 bridesmaids and we are unsure if we will be getting our dresses from here now. Not just because of the $20 but because the service sucked and the employees / management are rude and unhelpful!!!! read more

Excellent excellent service. This is a long over-due review but basically I found out last minute that I was a bridesmaid. I called David's bridal since the bride was going through them and none of them had my size in store and it was taking a while to get it shipped in. I called the lake grove location and they gave me a cold shoulder basically. That's when I called the massapequa location and was connected with Annie. God bless this woman. She did everything in her power to get me the dress I needed with still some time for alterations. If it wasn't for her I would not have gotten the dress on time especially after being ignored by other locations. When I walked into this location I was greeted with warm friendly smiles. Everyone was so eager to help here and their dress was amazing quality for a decent price. I want to thank Annie and her team for everything. read more

A month ago I visited this location to get a prom dress for my daughter and the ladies were so helpful.. but today's visit and experience was even better Annie Anil, Cynthia & Anthymn were really working it... I needed a dress for an upcoming event this weekend and I had no other time but today to get it and they were running the floor for me .. just for me ..
