    My original cathedral veil that I bought for $150.

    This is an update to my previous nice review. I went to David's Bridal in Westbury and bought my bridal shower dress-experience was good. I went back to the store in Massapequa and bought a cathedral veil that was in a bag 50% off for $150-experience was good. I went back to the Massapequa store on 8/27/18 to get my veil steamed. When I bought my veil, I tried it on in the store and took pictures of it from behind-perfect condition. The veil sat in a bag in my closet until it was time to get it steamed. I was told the veil would take 15-20 minutes to get it steamed. I ended up waiting an HOUR and was told by a blonde manager with glasses that there were rips in my veil. She asked if I was aware of this and I said no. I second guessed myself and didn't have the photos with me of the veil. She told me that I would need to get a new one and could use what I paid for it-which none of the cathedral veils they had were $150-all much more. I ended up paying another $50 for a new cathedral veil (I liked my original much better). I was so angry and was trying to gather my thoughts-did I rip it, did they rip it? I just had to go see my photo of the veil when I got home. I got home and saw that the veil was not ripped in the pictures and was so angry. I knew it was my word against theirs-but the girl in the back room totally destroyed the veil while trying to steam it-why would it take an hour to steam anyway? They most likely had a "Oh Sh*t" moment and tried to put the blame on me. I went back to the store last Wednesday, 9/12/18 and spoke to the same manager woman. She wasn't very accommodating at all and said she would call corporate and it would take 24-48 hours-still haven't heard from her. They suck-spend more $ on your dresses/veil and don't do business with them. I should have listened to other people about not going there.

    Updated Review: BRIDES BEWARE! So sadly my experience with David's Bridal Massapequa started out great-it ended horribly. To make a long story short when I found "the dress" I obviously tried on the sample they had and with the dress being on sale, before I ordered it had asked if it would be new. Helyna and Iryna stated yes in front of my mother, Aunt, and I. Fast forward a few weeks and the dress comes in. I go to try it on and the dress is clearly worn with makeup stains on the inside, and lace fraying with fuzzies all over the dress. I was obviously upset and Domenika the manager on that day called the central center and found they had 25 in the warehouse and she would do a quality check when it came it to make sure it's new but her original response to me before I had to become assertive was "well it's a clearance dress" really unacceptable but since I loved this dress and they have a no refund policy I agreed to wait for another to come in. Don't you think you should tell someone they're buying a sample instead of lying to them at the point of sale saying it would be new? So fast forward another few weeks I go to try on the 2nd dress which I was assured was to be new and quality checked. I get there and again it's a sample with the same lace fuzzies, beading wire sticking out, and train dirty. The sales manager Nicole was there and very apologetic, she contacted the central center and said that this dress was from 2015 and discontinued and there were no new dresses at all and she didn't know who told me it would be new when it wasn't ever going to be. She then told me she would kindly call around the country to find the least used dress since all left were samples. I got a call back from Nicole a few hours later stating the ones around the country were in worse shape and she would work with her seamstress to have the dress cleaned up. I agreed to come back mid week to look at it. So this past Tuesday I went back and the dress while better was still not 100% and they were not able to accommodate the price I felt was fair for the dress considering I was lied to as I was being sold a sample dress the entire time. I will say though they were willing to take money off though but only after I pushed for more than the 10% offered. After a devastating few weeks I've decided to cut ties with the dress and was given a refund by Nicole even though they don't give refunds which I appreciated. I normally don't like to leave reviews like this but I hope no one gets duped like I did because it's a really horrible feeling to find "the one" to then find out they don't actually have what you think you're buying. I also now understand why they push so hard for good internet reviews while you're in the store as these negative reviews are probably all sadly true.
