I had a mixed experience at the Cool Springs location of David's Bridal. My mom came into town to go dress shopping with me for my wedding, and we made an appointment for me to try on dresses. While I didn't end up loving anything on my body, the young stylist helping me was very sweet and supportive, which I really appreciated. Since we still had extra time, I asked if it would be possible for my mom to try on a few dresses as well-she's also getting married, and we thought it would be such a special moment if we both found "the dress" together. The stylist checked with Lisa, who I believe is the manager, and although she said yes, it felt very hesitant. The next day, between my other appointments in the area, we came back so my mom could try on dresses. Unfortunately, when we returned, Lisa recognized us and made us feel uncomfortable--like we were wasting her time or not being taken seriously. The looks and comments we received were discouraging and definitely put a damper on what should have been a fun experience. Thankfully, we were paired with JT, who completely turned things around. She was absolutely amazing--kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Because of her, my mom ended up saying yes to her dress, which made the day so special after all. TERRIBLE!!!! This location caused literally EVERYTHING to go wrong. Late for appointments they set. Lied to us about communications. Bride requested and paid for a 5 point bustle. David's Bridal only put a 1 point bustle. I, Matron Of Honor, called. They lied to me saying the Bride called and changed it. The Bride never called with a change in alterations. IF the Bride did call like they said, why didn't they issue her a refund for the price difference automatically?????Overcharged and did not complete services promised. At alterations appointment, employee zipped a mole, caused injury and bleeding. A month later when picking up dress, that blood was still on the bridal gown. I knew I wanted tea length and affordable since it's an expense that'll be worn once. I'm practical and frugal. Donna was AMAZING. She took me, my mom and sister under her wing and took great care. She was thoughtful and mindful of what I wanted and was comfortable with as well as where to add some uptick in my look that was natural and not forced. So so glad I took the advice of a colleague when she suggested we try here. They took me in for a walk-in! I was buying my bridesmaid gown on a whim and they took me in for a walk in, same day same time. I guess I got lucky cause they are not busy, but their service is organized and great. The stylist kept checking with me, even if she's in an appointment with a bride... also everyone in the shop is so friendly and nice. Even if they just happen to pass by, they are more than happy to help and give an opinion. The only thing that they didn't meet in my expectation is the lack of sizes in the dresses my bride picked.. there are some dresses that they have on every size and there are some that they only have in 1 size. It was really hard to order when you don't know what size to get since the dresses fit differently on different sizes. So I'd recommend to call ahead with your dress number and the sizes you want to try, just to be sure But other than that I enjoyed my visit here. I still got the dress I wanted! Most women are so excited to wedding dress shop - But I was more into picking out wedding decor and ring shopping. My coordinator told me I needed to go ahead and dress shop so I booked an appointment with David's Bridal. I liked their dress selection online plus their prices. After booking my appointment I was prompted to save some of my favorite dresses to my profile. Which I thought was awesome. My mom, two bridesmaids, and a close friend attended my appointment this past Friday as soon as they opened. Our wedding dress guide was Ellise and she was absolutely spectacular. She pulled out dresses I had favorited, and also a few "out of the box" styles just to make sure I got to try on multiple styles in case I ended up liking something once it was on. While I am very body positive, I also sometimes get caught up in sizing, and she assured me not to worry about the sizing and that it wasn't important which eased my mind. We had such a fun couple of hours, and the store manager was also lovely and helpful. I ended up finding my dress in the same day and I'm so happy they had such awesome options! While I went and not being super excited, I left feeling very excited and happy with the experience. I have used David bridal for two of my prom dresses as well as a bridesmaid dress, and if you are wedding dress shopping I can highly recommend them. I had an appointment today looking for a bridesmaid dress. We were paired with Donna and I am SO THANKFUL. From the very beginning she was had a plan to get my measurements, look up dresses in my size that would be available in time for the wedding, and let me select the ones I wanted to try on via an iPad. It was so refreshing to have SEVERAL plus size options available. Once I had quite a few selected she pulled the dresses and got me into a dressing room. She so much fun, knowledgeable, and a blessing to what could be an overwhelming event. I was able to find a dress I loved. Thanks, Ms. Donna! I am so impressed with my first experience at any bridal store! I came here today to look for a wedding dress with my sister and mom. We were almost an hour early for our appointment, yet they accommodated us right away. My bridal consultant was Judy and oh my goodness, she is FANTASTIC. We picked out three dresses at a time to try out and she helped fit, style, and add accessories to my dress for over 2 hours. She was always patient, kind, and incredibly funny throughout our appointment. I felt comfortable to tell her what I did or did not like about each dress and she made me feel beautiful and even more excited to get married! Dresses were definitely affordable. I found tons of dresses I loved for about $500 and ended up loving styles I never even considered before. We will definitely be back to pick up my wedding dress with Judy at least in the next few months as the wedding gets closer. I had 3 appointments set for the day with David's being the first one. I really did not expect to find my dress here, but Ellise picked all the right dresses and I ended up going with the first one she picked and the first one I tried on! I then was uneasy about some of the accessories I chose, so I called the store and they scheduled me an appointment with no hesitation to get re-accessorized. Also, I failed to mention to my stylist I wanted a pure white dress rather than ivory. I again called the store to see if they could switch the color and they did within 5 minutes. Horrendous experience. Received a call from Karen on 7/6/23 that an address was needed to ship the dress. I immediately contacted the Cool Springs Galleria store and was told that my dress was sent to another store. I asked how that was possible and put on hold. I was then transferred to someone else and was put on a long hold and then was told my dress was possibly upstairs. I immediately sent a family member to the store that had the receipt and was with me when the dress was purchased from Crystal D. Even though I told Crystal D. multiple times the dress was to come to the store and not be shipped. She entered that my dress was to be shipped. Luckily, the dress was upstairs and was checked to make sure that it was the correct one by the family member before they left the store. I immediately called the alterations department and cancelled my appointment. No way in the world I am stepping foot back in that store with all the incompetent sales associates. I love a deal, however, stay far away from this store. The deals simply aren't worth the horrendous customer service. read more

I have heard a few horror stories about the pushiness of David's Bridal employees (In general, not about this particular store) so I felt a little shy and overwhelmed about the prospect of coming to a major retail chain store such as this for my veil and accessories. I already have had my dress for months yet I worried that because I wasn't looking at any major purchases here that I wouldn't be taken as "seriously" as other shoppers. Thank goodness that wasn't the case at all! Lani our stylist was extremely gracious, patient, and considerate. When I started to get slightly overwhelmed by my family members (I decided to come here with 7 of my relatives...perhaps not one of my most thought-out ideas) Lani pulled me aside and gently yet firmly reminded that regardless of any other input, I was here to pick out whatever I wanted, that it was my day, and she was going to make sure whatever I left with was a purchase that was 100% set on by me. That made me feel much better. After she looked at a few photos of my dress she selected about 4 different veils for me to try on, all of them different lengths and different shades of white. She made a few suggestions about styles I hadn't considered and offered a few hair accessories for me to sample but listened to what I wanted and never once was pushy or tried to upsell me something. First of all- on this visit, I did not try on any dresses & did not make an appointment. I wanted to talk to someone about setting up an event so that my out-of-town maids could put in their dress orders at their local David's Bridal. I had to wait about 10 minutes, because as usual, the store was packed full of bride-to-bes and their girls and prom dress shoppers. It was a definitely hectic inside. But surprisingly, I spoke to the manager within 10 minutes and had an event set up and all my questions answered. So I must say, I had a rather pleasant experience. However, I have been to David's Bridal on several occasions on behalf of brides and for my own dress shopping and have a few tips: 1. Don't give them your primary email and phone number, because they sell your info to other businesses and you will get spam. 2. Always make an appointment when trying on dresses, because you will be incredibly frustrated otherwise. 3. Bring a friend who can help you when the employees go MIA. 4. If you're interested in renting tuxes at Men's Warehouse, ask for the coupon that gives you $40 off per tux 5. They will pressure you to purchase your dress right then and there. Sleep on it! Come back later if you still love it after looking at the pictures of the dress on you. Don't let them talk into a dress you don't love. My friend who is a bride to be took myself and another bridesmaid with her to look for a wedding dress and to hopefully get some ideas for bridesmaid dresses. As soon as we walked in there was a man in a suit standing behind a table who said we needed to register in order to look at dresses. We told him we just wanted to look around to get ideas since we didn't have an appointment. I asked him if we could fill out the registration paperwork on the way out. He said very loudly that his manager would get mad at him if we did that. We didn't feel like we were treated with much respect nor was that very good customer service, so we turned around and walked out. He didn't even try to stop us with an apology. Busy brides don't have time to mess around and neither do their bridesmaids who are called on to attend to their every beck and call! Because of that, a wedding vendor must provide good customer service to make sure bridezilla doesn't come out to play...and destroy. Good thing this time I was going as a bridesmaid so the only thing I was worried about was whether I'd like the dress or not. After reading the previous reviews, I was hesitant about this store BUT, I was pleasantly surprised! I called ahead to make an appointment and spoke with a very friendly employee on the phone. They even sent me an email reminder as well as a courtesy phone call the day before to confirm my appointment. I chose to go on a weekday (which is recommended for ALL wedding things if possible) and made my appointment time for the first thing when they opened in the morning. A few other customers arrived early, as did I, and after waiting a few minutes we were let in and greeted by reception who quickly and kindly received us. Several of us needed to try on bridesmaids dresses and he efficiently got them for us. He also waited nearby to help zip up, answer questions, or grab other sizes if needed. An employee from the alterations department was immediately on hand when I had to discuss options and alterations for my dress. I decided not to order at that time since I had to confirm with my bride so he took the time to update my information on the bride's file with sizing and notations as well as gave me the timeframe that was needed to order, receive the dress and get alterations done. I just left feeling very frustrated. I was greeted when I arrived and I told the women what I was looking for. A young woman showed me an area with the wave of a hand and offered no further assistance. When my arms were full I went in search of help. Another young woman passed me with no acknowledgement, I asked her if I could try the dresses on. She told me she would have to get someone else to help me....keep in my mind, I'm the only customer in the store. Another woman came to let me in a dressing room. She said not to waste time trying anything on until someone else came in to help me with sizing and to tell me about ordering time. No one ever came back. I eventually tried on everything and was very interested in one of the dresses. I eventually left with three employees in conversation at the front. No one acknowledged me as I left. Everyone has their view on their "perfect" day, and my view is that I have rather a million good to great days with my now husband, than one perfect day. Getting this out of the way, I am OK with the mass produced wedding dresses, so my review is not on what David's Bridal presents but how I was treated in this location. I am not OK spending that much money on a dress, because in the end it's just an overpriced dress to me, only to find later out not only was I lied to as to how their shipping works but also to find out that the wrong dress was ordered, which was specially order because I am tall. She was the greatest! My mom, maid of honor, and I all sat down with her and talked about my wedding, my sizes, my budget for my dress and she gave me a booklet to look over to see if I saw anything else I wanted to try on. The most judgey experience I've had in quite some time. The two women we had interaction with weren't helpful, came off fake and left something to be desired. Note: had almost the exact experience as the 1 star review two posts down .... Except I never made it to the dressing room cause no one wanted to even help me find a dress similar to what I was hoping to find. I was just told there are no tea length dresses with 'off the shoulder' tops. Just left an appointment trying on bridal gowns. I took my mom sister and two young nieces and was concerned about the size and age of my entourage but the staff at this location treated each person like they were not only welcomed but an important part of the process. The customer service and attention were stellar. I choose this location because if the positive reviews. I'm engaged! I wanted a great experience. The team didn't disappoint. Sales manager, Melissa, greeted me as I arrived with such a happy delightful smile and genuine personality. She then introduced me to Ellise who would be my consultant. Melissa also informed me I was Elsie's first bride! That info was very helpful and helped managed my expectations. She also informed me she'd be there to help every step of the way. They were both honest and helpful, which I valued. They are also very stylish women which made feel I was in good hands. They tended to me and engaged my family making sure everyone received attention. I also appreciated that they gave me a great balance between privacy in my fitting room while being available outside the door when I needed help. Blhdn staff stayed in my room the entire time which was unexpected and undesirable. Enough about the service. The dresses surprised me too. I was sure I'd found "the one" at BLHDN last week so I wanted to just look at David's to see if there was anything I'd love. I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations. But I found several dresses that gave blhdn competition - stylish yet much more affordable. Now I'm left deciding which gown to get which is a great problem to have. read more

I absolutely love the employees at this location but the location it's self is crap. Every time I went in there (4 total) there were children running around and causing chaos. One child even stepped on my dress. The staff needs to be a bit more strict when it comes to children in the store. I went to David's Bridal not Chuck-e-Cheese. Every appointment and fitting was miserable due to unruly brats roaming the store while their owners did not seem to notice. There should be a rule against screaming demons running like wild horses being in their store. After hitting up a few bridal shops to look at wedding gowns, I decided not to break the bank and to try looking at David's Bridal for something more affordable. I made an appointment and the girls working were very friendly and helpful. I just wish I had read some of these reviews before I went... I made the mistake of giving them my phone number and email address. This was a HUGE mistake, as apparently they sold my information. I now get two to three phone calls from bridal telemarketers each day and countless emails from people and stores I have never heard of, offering me deals to get me to buy flowers, accessories, and photographers... you name it, I've gotten a phone call about it. It is drives me crazy. I even got a call from David's to remind me of another appointment, which I never even made. I had to call and cancel the appointment they set up for me without my knowledge. Small detail, but a pain in the butt when you've got a busy schedule. On top of the spam I've been getting, the dresses I tried on weren't even worth the trouble. I felt as if the fabric and stitching might tear apart quite easily. It didn't seem as if the gowns were very well made, and the fabric felt uncomfortably cheap. Granted, these were gowns under $1,000, so this is understandable and I won't fault the store too much for that (although I should note, I have found lower-priced dresses that are much, much better quality). I also need to mention that while the sales associate helping me was nice, she made the experience incredibly awkward by staying in the tiny dressing room, waiting for me to undress, in order to help me into my gowns. At every other bridal shop I have been to, the associates step out of the dressing room until you are ready to call them in for assistance. This was just a comfort issue for me. Overall, I wouldn't recommend David's Bridal to anyone unless you know what you're getting into, or they have the dress of your dreams. read more

My review is for the quality of the dress, no necessarily the service. Every Bride has to know that when they shop at a major retailer like this for such an intimate purchase, you will be underwhelmed. My dress was gorgeous, but I had a problem with the fabric stretching on my wedding day. It was hot and humid, my dress did not cinch in the bodice because of the way the humidity effected the fabric. It was an Oleg Cassini gown, paid $1,600 for it, and this wasn't a problem I could foresee having. I had a corset back put in, but the day of, after pictures, could not get it tight enough. It really bothered me, and I look heavier in all the pictures because of it. (Thank goodness for Photoshop!) It's a silly little thing, but it made a big difference in the fit! I can only guess that the quality of the fabric had something to do with it. read more

What a great place to make memories! My customer experience at David's in Cool Springs completely exceeded all expectations. I am one of those customers that probably would drive any sales associate insane. My mother passed away when I was a teenager and I was apprehensive when it came time for me to find a dress. I was also completely indecisive about the style of the dress and price range. The sales associate/stylist that assisted me, Kim Yasso, guided me through the entire process. She was kind enough to help me twice WITHOUT an appointment, and eventually helped me select my "forever dress." She also helped make my father feel right at home during what was possibly the most estrogen-filled experience of his life. I will not forget her kindness. I was blown away again when it came time for me to pick up the dress. Susan Moore, the alterations manager at the store, offered me some of her very precious free time to talk me through the alterations process. This was an extremely generous gesture that I will not forget. I did schedule my official appointment for a date closer to my wedding, but she helped calm some of my nerves about my figure in the dress. Finally, I was most impressed with the team when it came time for me to order jewelry for all 9 of my bridesmaids. The necklaces were marked as clearance, but unfortunately, there were only 5 left in the store. The store manager, Tami Zoeller, was kind enough to call around to all of the nearby David's locations and find the 4 remaining necklaces that I needed. The jewelry was rush delivered to my house by the next day. I couldn't believe it! My apologies for the long post. Because I live in a city where there are a bazillion brides competing for the attention of a select few vendors, I was especially blown away at the amount of personal care that was given to me during every visit. I almost never leave a poor review for a business, but I am making an exception for David's Bridal. We purchased flower girl dresses from them for my son's wedding, and the dresses needed alterations to fit my girls. A few days before our alterations appointment, I received a voicemail stating that they were closing the business due to Covid and would call and let me know when they were reopening and when I could reschedule. Because the wedding date was right around the corner, I ran to Kohls before things closed and bought Easter dresses for the girls so that they could still be in my son's small ceremony (which also happened before the state officially closed everything down). The original wedding date was in early April and got moved to near the end of March. I never received a follow up call from David's Bridal. I tried calling a couple of times on my own, but when I called, the store wasn't open. I let it go for a few weeks, figuring they would call me to reschedule the alterations appointment when they reopened like they said they were going to in their voicemail, planning to then let them know I no longer needed the dresses and had to return them. Today, I finally called again because I *still* hadn't heard from them. The manager informed me that while it was their responsibility to call me, they hadn't done so, and unfortunately for me, that meant I'd missed the 14 day return window from the date they reopened the store. I pushed back and said that since it was their responsibility to call me and they hadn't, they should honor the return window. She told me they wouldn't do that, and they were sorry no one called like they were supposed to, but I was out of luck regardless. I find this incredibly unprofessional and upsetting. The manager admitted to me they were responsible for the mistake and yet they will not honor the return policy like they should. How was I supposed to know they were open and that they had a 14 day return policy in place? Is it even legal to institute a new, time-sensitive return policy but make sure not to notify those who would be affected? They have my email address as well as my phone number, but didn't bother to reach out. They should have immediately called EVERY client who had a missed appointment to let them know this. Clearly, their customers are not important to them, or perhaps not calling customers to inform them of the return policy window was a good way to keep from having to honor too many returns. I have worked in customer service off and on for many years, and this is absolutely NOT how you treat your customers, especially when you've already admitted you are the one in the wrong. read more

I needed a ball gown in one week and Donna along with Aghdas (alterations) calmed my nerves and pulled everything together for me. As soon as I got off the phone with Tori (the manager at this store) I immediately had to write this review. My best-friend's wedding is on October 1. I've been a bridesmaid seven times and most of the dresses were ordered from David's Bridal. I've always loved their timing because you can order a dress a few months before the wedding and have plenty of time for alterations. When I went to order my dress today (thinking there was plenty of time), I realized there was in fact NO time. The dress was showing an arrival date of September 20 and that didn't give me time AT ALL for alterations. I was absolutely panicked. I spoke to Tori and she told me she would call me back by 1 p.m. She promised to call the warehouse and other stores to find this particular size that seemed to be back ordered for months. She called me back within the hour, easing my fears and told me she had located my dress in my bride's color and I could order it immediately. I have no idea how long she spent on hold or how annoying it must have been for her to track down this dress due to my negligence and over-estimation of time to order because she was so polite, helpful and above all SHE FOUND THE DRESS. I couldn't be more appreciative and I recommend this store for their amazing customer service. This is my second bridesmaid's dress I've ordered from this location and I can promise that you won't be disappointed in the way your needs are addressed. I just said YES to the dress!!!!!! Stacy is the best. She is very intuitive and read my mind. She pulled so many beautiful dresses. I am a plus sized girl and Stacy found the perfect dress to flatter my opinion and my personality. She was patient with me and my whole family. She even helped my mom find her perfect dress. If you are going shopping for you wedding dress and you want someone that knows what she is doing, ask for Stacy. Also, the whole staff was so helpful. Its David's Bridal people. Lets just say, if you are looking for your "Say Yes to The Dress", this isn't your place. If, however, you are looking for your "Say, sure, WTF, it's a bargain"...then Hallelujah, you are home! The dresses are what they are...mass produced and frankly, totally fine for a prom or quasi formal type deal. I went there for my daughter's flower girl dress and it was totally fine. What wasn't fine was my overly ambitious friend who opted to try on some bridal gowns in the process. Oy....mistake. The staff is, shall we say, uninspired. These folks are seriously in need of a makeover. With tattoos and girl parts spilling out of their dresses, they don't exactly scream 'heading to the alter'. Squished into far too tight and too tacky clothes, they just aren't the folks you want to take fashion advice from, but I feel for them. They are forced to crank thru appointment after appointment trying to get their commissions. Maybe it would be better on a weekday? Or maybe the lighting would just show the tattoos more. read more

Donna is absolutely the most wonderful human being I've ever met. She treated me and my friends/family like old family members. She understood exactly what I was looking for and who I was and customized this experience into a magical day. I have never felt so beautiful or more like royalty in my entire life. I truly felt so special and understood, and left feeling like all my options were shown to me in a non-pressure sales situation. She seemed genuinely excited for me and just wanted me to feel pretty. I wanted to get my dress right after the engagement because I figured that with my figure, there would be a lot of alterations..I am very petite/thin and small framed but have curves, and I thought that finding the right fit would take a long time and lots of alterations. This dress will only need about a half inch to inch of hemming in at the bust line to lay flat...it's amazing. Based on our phone call when I booked the appointment, Donna pulled 3 dresses she thought I would like...I actually really loved that first one I tried on, so it wasn't a bad choice...but the 2nd one was JAMIE!....The details on it are truly mind-blowing. I thought we would be there for hours...and I found my dress in less than 45 minutes. I have always refused to cry in public and never understood why girls cry on those wedding TV shows...until Donna opened the mirror door and showed me to my family and friends, and they all gasped and joyously started crying, then I started crying too. It was the most beautiful experience. I will recommend David's to EVERYONE!! read more

I was very nervous about trying on dresses for the first time. I'm in my 30s and a plus sized bride. Victoria was my stylist. She was great. She wasn't pushy out overly fake excited. She was helpful and kind. The perfect person to calm my fears. I tried on several dresses and found one that I loved. It was very unexpected. Problem is my mom wasn't there and would be heart broken to know that I found my dress without her. I brought my mom back 2 weeks later. Victoria came in on her day off just for me. She and the whole store played along with the charade that it was my first time there so that my mom could have the great experience. Everyone there was so kind.
