Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Tori was amazing with us and all the zillion questions we had. We love David's Bridal.

I made an appointment here and honestly I had no expectations. I had gone somewhere else and as a plus size bride I was told wedding dresses were not made for fat people. At that appointment I had been mocked and made fun of. So I was extremely nervous and afraid to go dress shopping again. I had found a few dresses that I LOVED, but was very hesitant to try them on. I had no clue what size I was or what would work for me. I had ideas, but needed guidance. I made an appointment at the David's Bridal in Erie, PA so I could share this moment with my Nana when we came into town to visit. I was reluctant I'd find anything or be met with friendly consultants, again going back to my bad experience somewhere else, I was afraid. From scheduling my appointment to the day of I was met with AMAZING communication, confirmation emails, a phone call the day before and a reminder text the morning of my appointment. I LOVED how I was always reminded of my appointment!! I was also able to ask questions and was met with a friendly staff member, unfortunately I can't remember her name. Day of I went in, reluctantly still..but a little more hopeful. I was greeted by the staff with open arms and smiling faces! I was checked in, told her about some of my ideas then showed her a dress I had fallen in love with. Which they had on rack!!! I met with my bridal consultant that I would be working with, Erin. She was AMAZING!!! Amazing actually is an understatement!! I told her what I liked about each dress, showed her my dream dress and then we picked out some others as well that all had my vision in some sort of way. I liked some, LOVED another and then I fell head over heels for the dress I had wanted. Erin went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful and comfortable in my own skin. She even paired a head piece with the dress which I fell in love with!! She did try and upsell me and she was so polite and tasteful with it and accepted when I said no without being overly pushy like other sales reps other places. I didn't feel like I wasn't worthy of being in a wedding dress due to my size and finally just felt like a person. I truly felt beautiful in each dress but even more so in the one I walked in wanting. I said "Yes" to my dream dress and couldn't have been happier!! This location rocks!!! Each person in here was warm and welcoming!! Thank you so so much for making me feel at ease and like a Bride! It's the FIRST time in the 6 months of being engaged that I felt like a bride to be! They listened to all of my criteria (winter wedding in Canada, can't be green or pink, formal/black tie appropriate) and suggested some beautiful dresses, one of which I ended up choosing. Brittany made my experience absolutely wonderful and easy. I got my wedding dress here fairly soon to the wedding date and we were able to find the perfect dress. I highly reccomend Brittany to anyone booking an appointment at this location, she's wonderful. My two bridesmaids and I were in the Erie, PA store in the fall to find my wedding dress and have them try on/also order their bridesmaids dresses. The "helper" we were given was TERRIBLE!! She couldn't have been 18, was not helpful at all, told me personally she didn't have any of the saved dresses in store (which was a complete lie), and when it came to trying on dresses for myself and my girls she completely went MIA....This is your job....so that left my mom and friend to help me-When it came to my bridesmaids to try on dresses she was no where to be found and left us as a group to search on our own...absolutely no guidance. Horrible experience!! When it came to checking out at the end, she was more concerned in ordering her COFFEE order rather that help us check out and order our dresses. So someone else helped us......well then that lead to us now finding out 6 months later (that's how long these freaking dresses took to get in!) that the girls had completely different dresses-Both are one shoulder but they have opposite shoulders, one has a slit and the other doesn't and on top of this they both have COMPLETELEY different materials!!! Like come on! This is your flippin job; if she would have paid more attention to us as her clients maybe this would've been right. At this point we are 6 weeks away from our wedding and NOTHING can be done....Thank you to Davids Bridal and individually the girl who was assigned to us for completely ruining this. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and now this! I WILL NEVER shop or refer anyone to your store ever, and I should go up to the store and cause a huge scene but you are not worth it! You are all so freaking corporate to care about the brides and customers that come into your store. Thank you for ruining our wedding. read more

I walked into David's Bridal in Erie with the intent to just try on a few dresses to see which styles suited me. I had already purchased a dress from Alfred Angelo in Boardman Ohio and it came in 2 sizes too big and was just a horrible look for me. So somewhat panicked I decided to just see if David's Bridal had a sale that I could get an idea of what looked good since Alfred Angelo botched it. I had low expectations going in and didnt plan to buy. Toni was my attendant. From the beginning she looked at pictures of my old dress and explained to me what I was having a hard time verbalizing that my old dress was for a taller girl with a longer waistline and therefore wasn't flattering. I was so grateful for the honest yet kind feedback and she got right to work picking out several different styles that she felt would look great with my shape and size. I ended up picking the first dress she had me try on which was stunning! It was on sale for $200 off and I cannot tell you the peace of mind that I left with yesterday having found the dress of my dreams just a month before our wedding day! I'm so glad I walked in and my advice to any bride on here is if you are having second thoughts about your dress purchase get a second opinion. If you are in the Erie area, ask for Toni- she is wonderful! Also, stay away from Alfred Angelos. They are totally overpriced and have been unprofessional to work with from the get go. read more

Yesterday I spoke to Kyla on the phone and she was kind and understanding. So we haven't bought anything (yet) but David's Bridal in Erie Pa was LOVELY! The sales consultant Taylor was wonderful and made my bride (I'm the MOH btw) feel awesome. I was very willing to give David's Bridal in Erie a try. I searched their web site and found one dress I thought was very unique so I made an appt. Upon entering I was bombarded with all kinds of forms, and the receptionist got snooty with me when she couldn't read my handwriting. They asked for a lot of personal info including the groom's contact info. I'm sorry--I thought I was the one getting a dress, not him. One of the first things I noticed was the completely inappropriate music playing rather loudly throughout the store--80s metal to be exact. No sooner did my consultant greet me than she suddenly left me to attend to another person, and after a few minutes I got bored and started looking at dresses. She acted like I was the one that left her to do something else. And the #1 issue I had with David's Bridal in Erie was that they did not have a chair available for my mother to sit in for the 2+ hours we were there. I asked for one for her at the beginning and was told, "She can sit on that ledge" referring to a display dresser that was very uncomfortable--mean while they had 3 empty chairs at the front of the store that no one sat in the entire time I was there. I also did not have a chair to sit in while I waited for the consultant to pull more dresses. Some times I stood in gowns for up to 10 minutes. This made the experience very tiring and not pleasant. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. And the kicker was the one dress I wanted to try on they didn't have it at that store and the consultant brought me a dress she thought was similar yet it was noting like the dress I liked--different color, silhouette, and poufy with a bunch of appliques--not clean, crisp and simple. I also found the consultant to be a bit pushy asking me questions like, "Who is paying for your dress?" and "If you did find a dress today how long before you would buy it?" And then I was asked, "Are you having fun?" No I did not have fun. The under garments they gave me stunk and had makeup all over them, the music was mostly too loud and terrible. The consultants were pushy, and I was exhausted from standing in heavy gowns for 2 hours with no place to sit and wait while they pulled additional gowns. And they called me the next morning (only after leaving their store at 7 PM the prior evening), and continue to send me multiple emails a day even though I opted out. Today I got an email from a Mary Kay lady who is one of their "partners". I don't remember reading or being told that my info would be sold or given to third parties. I was very disappointed in the whole experience from start to finish. Their approach and environment does not lend itself to making a decision about a dress. At least get chairs for all the moms and grandmothers who want to sit and truly be comfortable so they can make good decisions and not be annoyed the whole time. But according to them there store is "too small for chairs". Laughable! read more

I went to David's Bridal on July 28th, 2017 with my mom, step mom, Grandma and future Mother in Law and had a great experience! My stylist was Kelly, and she was wonderful! We picked out about 10 dresses, tried on six and I bought the dress that Kelly picked out... She knew exactly what I wanted. So happy with the dress, with Kelly, with the entire experience. I think Kelly should be recognized for her ideas... She really knows her job. We will be back for six bridesmaid dresses! read more

Horrible! From the begging it felt like no one cared! Folks walked away and left me looking for them. No one knew what was going on, no one helped, gave me dresses and left me, felt like I was bothering them. Different information from different people and they nickel and dime everything. Decided to take all dresses elsewhere for alterations including the eye hook to bustle the dress they wanted $160 to do and my friend did it in 10 minutes for free! Unreal, why this place is so popular is beyond me, when a manager hangs up on you the gig is over! After talking to others they have had bad experiences as well! Don't see this business model lasting much longer, if you decide to buy here good luck! read more

Great customer service!! Started off looking for my wedding dress in Cleveland and other bridal salons, ended up being very disappointed. Davids bridal was the last salon I looked at but the day I showed up, I found the perfect dress! Thanks to Yelena and Mykela, they were a very big help, and did everything possible for me to feel satisfied and happy in the purchase I made. I found the dress of my dreams! I ended up getting not only my bridal gown, but also shoes, veil, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress, a dress for my mom and more. I couldn't be more happy! Thank you! read more

Pretty disappointed with my appointment today... When I scheduled the appointment online it said that it was an hour and a half... At almost an hour into the appointment my consultant told me I only had 10 minutes left. It felt rushed. I just assumed that the 90 minutes just flew by but it flew by because it was only 60. I walked around after finishing up with the consultant and found a few more dresses I liked and overheard another consultant telling another client she was excited to spend the next hour and a half trying to find the perfect dress. I feel like another 30 minutes would have made a big difference, but at that point I just wasn't in the mood to try on dresses anymore. The consultant I had was very nice, but really should have known that I was supposed to get 90 minutes. I would recommend to anyone going for an appointment to go early and look around before and confirm that they are getting 90 minutes prior to even starting. read more

My experience here was phenomenal. While I did my primary purchasing at the Pittsburgh location near my house, the Erie location was enormously helpful. Just about a month or two before my wedding, we had to remove a bridesmaid (she was pregnant with twins and her due date was essentially the date of the wedding), so I had to get another good friend into a dress and quick! It was the height of the summer wedding season and the color I was ordering was one of the less common dyes (which seems to take a little bit longer to come in, as opposed to the standard colors). We rushed my new bridesmaid in and got her dress picked out right away, and the Erie David's Bridal had that dress in the store with two weeks to spare - even getting it altered in time. They also pressed my wedding dress for me after having transported it up from Pittsburgh for the Erie wedding. Really really great experience. They coordinated all of my other bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids perfectly, and everything went off without a hitch. I'm incredibly grateful and relieved that I went with David's Bridal for my wedding - I never could have pulled it off without them. read more

I took my bridesmaid's dress here to be altered. I had the dress shortened, the front slit lower, and the straps raised. I could not be more disappointed in the results. First when I went to pick up my dress and try it on they were so quick to rush me I had to stop and ask if I should try on the dress with my shoes. The woman I had help me try it on clearly had no idea what type of alterations were done to the dress. As I driving home I had a nagging suspicion that something just wasn't right. So once I got home I tried it on again. I'm so glad I did. The hem wasn't even close to correct or straight, the cups were not placed correctly, and the slit not only was lowered too much they had actually put two finger size holes into the chiffon. When I asked my friend who is a David's consultant at another store for her advice, she said she would call and see if she could figure out what happened. Thankfully she called instead of me, because they were rude to her...there is no way I could have kept my cool. I paid $150 for alterations on a $200 dress only to have them give me back sub par workmanship and holes. Thankfully my friend was able to get me an appointment at her store and the dress fixed less than 24 hours later. I highly recommend driving the hour and half to Monroeville and avoiding this store for alterations. You'll be treated better and receive a higher quality of service. read more

Our experience was not good. My daughter was only looking for white shoes for a dance. They had a wonderful selection, but clearly were only interested in selling gowns. We did not get in the way or take up anyone's time, yet the staff was rude. I even complemented a staff member on the shoe collection, and she rolled her eyes at me. Everyone appeared stressed and unfriendly. Will never again shop there. There are much better local businesses with great service and fabulous gowns. read more

I am just starting my wedding planning and my mother and I went to browse dresses. We were greeted immediately and set up with an account to help track the process. We were then introduced to a stylist who spent a moment or two listening to my preferences, then picked out a series of dresses for me to try on. While several of them didn't have features that I'd asked for, that actually ended up being good - I found a style that I really loved once it was on me, but never in my life would I have picked it out myself. Really opened my eyes! I tried on about half a dozen dresses, which my stylist helped me into, and left with two in mind that I really like. I was also impressed by how affordable the dresses were. I will definitely keep David's Bridal in mind for my wedding dress! read more

I had such a wonderful experience at David's Bridal in Erie. This was my first time ever looking at dresses. I was not quite sure what I was looking for so my sales lady, Stefanie, pretty much said go get changed and I'll pick out a few to see what style you will like. She picked all great dresses. She helped with the belts and put the lace sleeve on which was exactly what I was looking for. I was caught between two amazing dressing. I think she could tell I was getting a little anxious to make a choice so she suggested we go out to lunch, clear our minds, and come back in and try them on. Which was exactly what we needed. I came back and she was with another customers. She was able to help us both at the same time. Her customer service was amazing. I ended up purchasing my dream dress along with some accessories and even the dress preservation kit. She really thought of it all. I even came in way under my budget. I did not intend on buying a dress that day but now I am overwhelmed with happiness that I found my dress! I can't wait until it arrives at the store in January!! The whole David's bridal team really goes out of their way to make you feel special from ringing the bell to all of the free-bees they give you. I would highly recommend David's Bridal and highly recommend working with Stefanie! read more
