Boscov's is a family-owned department store that has over a few dozen locations throughout the Northeast United States. The stores sell clothing, footwear, accessories, linens, jewelry, cosmetics, candies, toys, furniture, small appliances, etcetera. Prices are reasonable, and I often can find good bargains. This Boscov's is located in the Erie mall. The store is two floors. On the first floor are mostly clothes, and on the second floor are mostly home goods. Unfortunately, I did not find any clothes that I liked and were in my size. I, however, did find a baking sheet to buy. I had not realized that the baking sheet was on sale for only $5, so then I grabbed a second one to buy. Multiple cash registers throughout the store were open. I had to wait in line for a couple of minutes. My cashier spoke to me nicely, and he accurately rang up my purchase. read more

Surprisingly this Boscov's is the most well organized, well staffed, and well stocked one I have been to. That says a lot. On top of this being all those things it felt like it was well lit in here as well. Made for a nice shopping experience. I came here because I came to the area without any swim trunks. Luckily for me they were having a sale on them. I found some trunks and decided that I was just going to buy them and be on my way. I did look about and see if there was anything else that I might need. There wasn't so I attempted to find a register to checkout. It was like hunting at that point. While I was looking over the items there was a slew of associates at the sales desk in the men's department. It was like they knew I had completed my selection and scattered like they were spooked by a predator approaching. I had to traverse the store in order to find a sales desk that had a register open. By the time I did find one I was in the shoe/women's department behind a lady returning items. So what could have taken a quick minutes at a register that was available with avoidant associates turned into another ten minute wait. I didn't want it to be like that scene in Office Space where he is stuck in traffic, except it would have been me heading for another register and this one cleared up. read more

I contacted Boscov's to report that an RCA turntable I bought on Dec. 18 as a Christmas present for my husband had totally stopped working. We had only used it five times at most since he opened the gift on Christmas Day. I thought they might offer to exchange it for a record player that works but the response I got was that no returns are accepted after 90 days. This wasn't a return request; I wanted an equal exchange for something that works! Very disappointed that Boscov's has told me I'm out of luck, simply because I hadn't bothered to try the record player between the New Year and March 18, when it could have been returned. read more

This store which took over the location of Sears was very unexpected and is a must see! Upstairs there is a nice selection of as seen on TV and the cost was very reasonable There was also a huge section of curtains with full samples. My favorite was the homemade fudge and candy counter. read more

I was in your store today. Very impressed with the merchandise and pricing. I asked an employee where a product would be. She answered but it was like an imposition. Continued her tasks. Looked like putting new product out. I found what I wanted. Then went to check out. Another story. The young Lady really was to busy. She did not ask me to open a charge account. I asked her if she was supposed to ask. And she was very snippy when she said yes. Still did not open one for me. My friend checked out next and she was not asked either. Overall I can say. I really enjoyed going here and found myself happy that I made the trip! They had incredible and I mean incredible deals on their sugar free candy - chocolates to be exact - we saved a ton of money compared to shopping on line. The selection here is unreal - with an upstairs full of great deals and even a larger selections of merchandise than what I expected. Some of the pricing here simply cannot be beat - the candles upstairs were half the price that we have found anywhere else and seeing it's at the mall - there is plenty of parking! I've shopped at Boscov's and could not believe the deal I found. A jacket with a clearance price and upon checking out it rang up $10 less. I was so thrilled with my find I went back and bought a second one to give my friend. When they have a deal, it's a steal, and I'm glad I found one. read more

I've been shopping at Boscovs ever since their peach street location opened. Today I experienced horrible customer service. I was waiting in line & not only did the worker "Betsy" say this once, but twice. "If they don't want to wait in line they can go somewhere else" & "There's other registers open". Not once did we complain about having to wait. We then told the customer service desk that she was rude to us & the blonde lady with a scarf on was also rude to us. Will not be returning. read more

This store has really nice employees and occasional deals. But the only thing that bothers me is that it's so hard to find a place to get checked out at!! There's all kinds of service desks around but rarely if ever is a worker behind one. I legit had to walk all around the bottom half of the store to find a place to get checked out at the first time. I had horrible customer service! The sales clerk made me feel so uncomfortable, I get it w ith the covid. She was bossy and said stand over there, then stand behind the plastic piece hanging down at the register. I told her what I thought when I was down, I told her she needed to relax and stop be so bossy! She could of said it in a different manner. Come to find out she was a manager. Ordered a chair in Sept. it is now Mar and no one seems able to get us the chair or even find out where it is and when it can be delivered. The original delivery date was Dec 10. They state there has been 15 changes since the process started. Poor business. Had to even insist they call to check. It was promised by last Christmas. Think they meant Christmas 2023? read more

Boscovs sells discontinued products that the manufacturers are unable to honor the warranties.

Love this store!! The selections that you have is unlike any other store. We travel 1 1/2 hrs to shop there.
