The building itself neighbors a Ross and Michaels as well as many other retail stores and restaurants in this area. Parking can be fairly easy no matter what time of day or evening you come. They also have very respectable hours being open Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-9:30pm, Friday from 9:30am-10:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am-8:00pm. As many people know, HomeGoods is also part of TJX who also operate TJ Maxx and Marshall's stores around the United States, Canada, and even some European countries. HomeGoods mainly focuses on small furniture items, linens/bedding, cooking products, ceramic dinnerware, lighting, art, area rugs and other home accessories including candles, perishable food items, pet accessories, and bath decor. During my visit which was on the evening of Friday 9/15/2023 at around 8:00pm, the Erie, PA location had a decent amount of customers while the store itself was very well stocked. One employee was organizing pillows while another was sweeping the floor. I did also witness several sales associates ringing customers up as the line moved rather quickly. Again, many retail stores including this "HomeGoods" can be very busy depending on the time of day you shop. They also carry quite a bit of seasonal items to spruce up your home; autumn/Halloween from Sep-Nov, Christmas from Nov-Dec, so on and so forth. The employee offered her gift boxes and gift wrapping and took her time with each item. When it was my turn to check-out, I was prepared to accept the gift wrapping offer and pay whatever the additional fee was, even though I was pretty sure it was free. I mentioned to the cashier that these were both gifts for others, to which she responded "oh, that's nice!" She proceeded to throw my receipt in the bag without asking if I wanted it, and stuff the oversized throw into the too small bag which crushed the tiny Vera box that came with the apron. Mr Yaple took the time to check it out while I was there. He took off the top of the steam vac and checked things out, replaced a part that was broken, and cleaned out a filter on the bottom of the machine, then put it all together. Took only 10-12 minutes or so. I bought some sweeper bags for my vacuum. Mr Yaple did not charge me for the store service visit!! He is the best! He knows his vacuums and carpet cleaners!! They were finished within 3 minutes and he immediately addressed me and kindly asked what I needed. Not cheap and sketchy nor gouging and greedy. I needed a 925 Sterling ring (size 9) resized (larger) So he let me try on a 9.5 and a 10. After fussing around for a few minutes I couldn't make up my mind as they both fit for different reasons. He took initiative to say "I can do in between them as well, 9.75." Ummm... hell yes!?! He kindly took down my info and let us know the estimated time which was 1 hour. He called me pretty much right at the 1 hour mark which was crazy fast for the quality of workmanship. The thick banded ring was not only the ideal size, but also perfectly polished. I haven't seen it that clean in years despite me cloth polishing it on a bi-weekly basis at home. The "seam" where the size was adjusted was utterly flawless. I mean I was absolutely blown away by the precision and attention to detail. I literally couldn't tell anything has been altered other than the perfect fit of course. After taking payment, I mentioned to him that another sterling ring of mine had some damage due to concrete impact on it and if it was something he could look at. He gladly took the ring to inspect it and within 3 minutes polished the thing up so perfectly it was better than when I first bought it. No charge! Now please don't go in expecting anything for free but this was a very kind gesture. I will go back here every time I am in town for sizing, polishing, repairs etc. The retail selection is minimal as it is not advertised as a "Jewelry STORE."
