I'm a picky shopper and a hard size to fit so when I find something I love that's brand new and a very good price I'm happy! Lots of nice things, fantastic inventory. I have worked really hard to downsize all my possessions and am very discerning about what I buy. I was so happy to find stuff here that fit me and looks fabulous! The store is clean and well laid out. The items there are really nice quality so there's no need to rifle through things like with traditional thrift/concession places. I'm so glad this store is here! read more

Their online service in terms of answering questions leaves a lot to be desired. They will highlight an item but not accompany with a price. You see many responses to the post, asking for the price, but you don't see a response. I recently commented to a person inquiring about the price, that they don't post or respond to price. I was referring to sharing it online. Well, it hit a nerve because they responded rudely, privately to my comment. Was it really necessary to be snippy and say, "There..I responded."? Not all local businesses earn support. read more

I love the Sassy Peacock! My mom and I visit almost every time that I come into town. Sometimes I consign and sometimes we are there just to shop. Mary is the new owner and she is great. She also has staff that are helpful with selections. We have found everyone to be pleasant, helpful and we always walk out of there with a great bargain. read more

I tried to sell some purses ie Michael Kors and coach with them as well as nice jacket. They rushed me through the papers and said anything not picked up would be donated. Fine. What they failed to tell me was anything under 40$ was automatically donated. I basically lost 5 purses and a coach wallet that had never been used! Plus I had the flu so I missed the date by 2 days and had to beg for one purse back . Yeah.. I'm sure they donate them...DO NOT consign here unless you're willing to donate your items! read more

Awesome shopping experience! Love the selection and prices. Wish I would have known about this place earlier. Great for shopping as well as consignment. read more

Took a bunch of prom dresses and matching purses in at end of February. She took some and refused others, which was fine but she kept more than I initially was given a list for! Actually, I never got a list until I returned a few weeks later because she was too busy to tally them when I originally took them in and was told she would email me the list and at that time I could agree or not on the pricing....that never happened which is why I went back to get the list! She only listed one purse and I know she kept at least three, also, a dress wasn't listed she kept. Wouldn't deal here again. read more

I had heard great things about this place from people who definitely know my tastes. I was very disappointed. It was an ever so slightly posh version of the Salvation Army, but it's price tags reflect something else. It would be great if the prices weren't so close to retail. I didn't see much at all that was worth what it was tagged, but if the item was well kept, and you really wanted it, it'd be a fair transaction. Nothing to write home about. read more

Hooked up with a sear sucker shirt and some really comfortable linen/cotton blends for the summer. The only thing that might make it better is an espresso bar in the back! read more

I've been in the store a handful of times over the last several years. The last two times I stopped in there was no customer service. I had a worker walk past me several times without so much as a hello or can I help you find anything. When I stopped her to ask a question she acted as though I was burden. Not sure I'll go back. read more

My family and I were traveling through Erie, PA and I had been looking for a good Consignment shop. This store was it! The store is well organized and has great items with good prices. The owner was very nice and helpful. This is definitely worth going to if you are traveling or if you live in the area. I Would absolutely recommend this place, and wish I lived closer to be able to visit more often. read more

I started as a seller at the Sassy Peacock, and ended becoming a shopper as well. I had never shopped by consignment before, but now I find the thrill of the deal is fun. One good thing to know as a first time seller is that if you want to pick up any unsold items, you need to pick them up before the end of the selling period -- I think it is 60 days. They do tell you this when you are dropping off, but for my first time selling, I did not pay much attention. If you don't pick your unsold items up, they are donated to a good cause (e.g., Mercy Center For Women's Dress For Success). read more

I was very disappointed with the products and the store. The store reminded me of Goodwill with a prentious air and higher prices. A big chalkboard sign stated blue and teal tags $1.00. I selected two cloth wallet purses that looked and felt used, but for $1 I could wash them up. When I went to pay the cashier I was told that the wallets were Vera Bradley and the tag sale did not include the high end products and there is usually a sign that explains that. (FYI: but not today......) Since they advertise they only sell high end products, I was confused what blue and teal tags were $1.00. I was told a table in the back held the blue and teal sale items. The owner did not care and was dismissive that her signage was misleading. Not a good experience. read more

People are very arrogant, and unfriendly. Lady said only upscale clothing. Most of my items I took in were from Kohls, and several blouses never worn. Told me did not take any department store clothes, and must be on hangers. I wasn't aware they needed to be on hangers, but just didn't care for attitude. Asked if I shopped at Talbots, or any other places like that, told her no. They list online many of the brands Kohls carry, so why the double talk. Looked at several racks of clothes, and many items looked like they came from Kmart or Wal-Mart. I would never recommend this place read more

I love the Sassy Peacock! I find name brand clothes all the time, including shoes. They're somewhat picky about what they buy, so you don't have to pore over things. The new store is well organized and colorful. Staff is friendly. I consign items on occasion and love making money to buy something else. So happy we have this is Erie! read more

Did not have a good experience with this business. Twice I attempted to consign clothes and was met with an arrogant attitude by the staff. Once in person and once over the phone. I had quality clothes to consign but because they were not on hangers the staff member I spoke with said "they absolutely had to be on hangers" and could not be accepted if they were not. All my clothes were like new and from Chico's. Their loss was Clothes Mentors gain. read more
