Wow. Was so exciting to get our couch delivered. I didn't pay for the extra "bring inside" charge,…read moreso I had to take it all apart, bring it inside, and put it back together. Then, I sat there for like 20 minutes wondering why the hell it looked so wrong, until I finally figured it out ... it wasn't the couch we wanted. We ordered a love seat in the store, and apparently, the guy who sold it to us billed us wrong. Instead of the love seat, he gave us the large sofa version. It was only a $20 difference, so we didn't notice that something was up then. We didn't even think anything could be wrong since we said loveseat like 50 times and kept verifying it throughout the process. After it was delivered, that's when we realized he messed up. Originally, Ashley (aka John V Schultz) refused to do anything. They wanted to charge us 15% restocking fee and like a $60 pickup fee to take it back. So, like $140 fee for giving us the wrong thing. After complaining, they dropped the restocking fee, so they wanted a $60 fee for something they messed up -- still not good. We asked for a discount on the love seat since we didn't plan on buying two couches at the same time. Welp, they didn't want to do that either. So they said the salesman who sold us the couch would call us on his next workday. On that guy's next workday, he did call us early in the morning. Missed the call, but called him back right away. He seemed to recall us wanting the love seat, and said he needed to talk to his manager to see how to deal with it -- give us a great deal on the love seat or swap them out for free -- and that he'd call us back. About 7 hours later, decided to drive up there since I didn't get a call back to talk to him in person. It was a big sales day, I guess (looked kind of slow to me), so it took a while for him to meet me. He apologized for not calling back, said it was busy, but I feel like people should try to right a wrong first before trying to sell more stuff to new people. He acknowledged that he remembered us wanting the love seat, and apologized for messing up. A good start. He offered me $30 off the love seat. Was hoping for more because of the inconvenience and since they didn't care to give me the benefit of the doubt. Wouldn't budge. Asked for the warrant at a discount. Nope. He did, however, offer to swap the couch out for the love seat we wanted at no charge. While I was debating, he went to sell more stuff. Eventually, we ended up getting the love seat for $30 off. Really didn't want to since it was still way more than we wanted to spend at one time (couch + love seat). Tried getting them lower, but, as it turns out, they raised the price of both pieces by $200 in the stores, so they used that to justify why they couldn't discount more than $30. (I feel like they adjusted the tags before I came in, for this purpose only, but that could just be my conspiratorial feelings -- it was a big sale day so not sure why they would raise the price otherwise.) The only thing I managed to get out of this besides the $30 off the original price we would have purchased it at before was to add it to our zero percent financing deal and free in-home delivery. Given that it actually took less time for the truck to delivery the love seat into my house than it did for them to drop the couch off in my driveway, it didn't feel all that special. Overall, I'm glad I have both couch and love seat. But I feel like I was scammed into getting them both. And while the salesman was apologetic and seemed to want to help out, it still was not a great overall experience. This review was originally a one star, but added another star because they did eventually offer to swap them out at no cost to me.

If you enjoy high-pressure sales people, lower cost furniture and high-pressure credit employees,…read morethis is your place! They practically run to you when you walk in the door. Reminds me of the Pittsburgh Steelers getting ready to make a tackle. No matter what you look at or where you wander in the store they are there. And if you show any interest at all in an object you are herded back to run a credit check to see how much your worth, I mean how much you can spend. Once they find that out they do their best to make sure you spend every penny of it! The word NO is not in their vocabulary. If you enjoy this kind of shopping, by all means go, come back here and give it a 5 star review. I for one do not enjoy this kind of shopping and will not be going back.

NOPE! Has to order parts. This whole process was going to take close to a month. So I have a brand new chair I won't be able to use for over a month. I asked the customer service rep if they could just replace the chair. They agreed and will bringing a new chair next week. Still very disappointing that there were problems with a brand new chair, but relieved they agreed to a new chair so I don't have to wait so long.

Since this "HomeGoods" store did not have any Yelp reviews, I figure why not be the first to…read morerepresent its one and only Erie, PA store. This particular location is at the Millcreek Pavilion shopping center on Interchange Rd. and directly off of I-79. The building itself neighbors a Ross and Michaels as well as many other retail stores and restaurants in this area. Parking can be fairly easy no matter what time of day or evening you come. They also have very respectable hours being open Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-9:30pm, Friday from 9:30am-10:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am-8:00pm. As many people know, HomeGoods is also part of TJX who also operate TJ Maxx and Marshall's stores around the United States, Canada, and even some European countries. HomeGoods mainly focuses on small furniture items, linens/bedding, cooking products, ceramic dinnerware, lighting, art, area rugs and other home accessories including candles, perishable food items, pet accessories, and bath decor. During my visit which was on the evening of Friday 9/15/2023 at around 8:00pm, the Erie, PA location had a decent amount of customers while the store itself was very well stocked. One employee was organizing pillows while another was sweeping the floor. I did also witness several sales associates ringing customers up as the line moved rather quickly. Again, many retail stores including this "HomeGoods" can be very busy depending on the time of day you shop. They also carry quite a bit of seasonal items to spruce up your home; autumn/Halloween from Sep-Nov, Christmas from Nov-Dec, so on and so forth. With that said and done, I am giving this store an above average four-star rating.
