I went dress shopping here before I'd tried on wedding dresses anywhere else, and frankly, I kind of expected to be disappointed. Everyone had told me to go to David's to get an idea about dress styles I like, then go to other boutiques to actually purchase a gown. I had the misconception that David's was kind of like the Walmart of Bridal boutiques, given all the ads for $100 dress sales on t.v., but I was very wrong about this place. These ladies were very professional, asked me what I had in mind, and invited my ladies and me to start looking at dresses. Kellyn was amazingly helpful and very personable. After trying a few gowns, she started pulling gowns she thought I would like (which was great), and continually offered so many ideas that helped me narrow my preferences, meanwhile being honest but fairly impartial. For example. she pulled a variety of veils and sashes for me to try, and even had hair bands and bobby pins to help me get my hair close to the style I planned to wear on the big day or secure the bird cage veils I wanted to try. She helped me get in and out of the gowns and promptly took away the ones I didn't like. She was so professional and personable. She even stayed with my group for an extra hour past the appt time. NONE of the other boutiques had personnel that were this helpful or were this service-oriented. This place puts "I Do I Do Bridal" in Athens to shame. Most of the other boutiques I visited wouldn't let us take pictures, which were so helpful to review later at home while making the decision. I seriously considered one gown from David's - one that was so unique and sophisticated, I had never seen a gown like it before. All the gowns I tried on were very good quality, but were roughly half the cost of gowns I saw elsewhere. I ended up getting a gown from a different boutique, but I would have been happy to give David's my business. Highly recommend this place. Ask for Kellyn, she will take good care of you. read more

I went in to David's Bridal just wanted to look at wedding dresses. I was expecting for such a large company to over look me and to have to wander through isles of dresses by myself. However, it was quite the opposite. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces eager to help me. Without knowing what kind of dress I had in mind, the ladies were so patient with me as I tried on every style and color offered. When I found the dress of my dreams, they let me try on an infinite number of veils, shoes, and accessories just so I could feel like a princess. After ordering my dress, accessories and undergarments, I had to make a few trips back in to the store to pick up each piece as they came in. Every time I walked into the store, I had people waiting to help me try pieces on and put the dress on. Each kind lady that I worked with was so happy for me, and they took the time to get to know me. They all asked to hear about my engagement, relationship, family, wedding planning, and life. The workers honestly took interest in my life and strived to make my experiance as great as possible. I was told to drive into Atlanta to a bigger David's Bridal store, but being in Athens this store was much more convenient. I am so glad I chose to come to this store. With it being a much smaller store, the women have more time to spend with you and can take the time to get to know you. Every time I walk into the store I am greeted by kind women who know me by name. I feel like a princess when I walk in! I would recommend this store to everyone looking for a wedding dress! I recently bought my dress on July 16, 2014 for my wedding June 13, 2015. I could not have asked for a better experience! I was so nervous beforehand that I would not be able to find a dress that fit my wants, personality, and budget. I was paired up with the consultant, Amanda G, and she did a wonderful job making me feel special and important. I feel that she went out of her way to listen to what I wanted and she asked me questions about what made me comfortable. She was also very personable and I felt that she really cared about me as a person and not just a sale. I felt that I could be honest with her and she was very accommodating when I didn't like something or wanted to change something. She was very knowledgeable about products, and she was in a wonderful mood. What I also enjoyed about Amanda was that she was honest with me and didn't just try to upsell or pressure me into something I didn't like. I went shopping with my mother, future mother-in-law, and four bridesmaids and they all had a wonderful experience as well. Amanda listened to their thoughts and opinions as well but I didn't feel overwhelmed at the same time. My bridesmaids were also able to easily find their bridesmaids dresses in the color I wanted that day. We ended up getting a different style for each bridesmaid so they could all be comfortable. It was a breeze! The store is very clean and welcoming and I felt that it was very professional! Everything was nicely organized and I felt like everyone there wanted to help me find my dress. I went to David's Bridal in Athens and I have to say it was the BEST service I have ever experienced. It is a smaller David's store in the Atlanta area but it has the BEST SERVICE staff & manager her name is Amelia. This store has an intimate vibe to it. Especially the attention and experienced stylists they have there , I had Cathy help me she is exceptional made it a GREAT experience with attention to detail and what my Wedding Day vibe and theme was all about . In my experience I am writing about I bought my Wedding dress months ago and got extremely sick in the Hospital in which we had to reschedule OUR Wedding Date. The Dress did not fit me and I did not like the style longer it was more than the 90 days over the purchase date. The stylist Cathy immediately helped me and asked her manager, without hesitation let me make an exchange for my dress and items bought up to 1,000 dollars worth of exchange to make me Happy and feel Beautiful on my Wedding Day. I was able to get the items I needed when it was not even the David's Store I originally purchased the Dress from. The stylist and Manager at the Athens David's Bridal store took hours in picking out an entire new Dress, shoes and other dresses and Wedding attire I needed to have what my Day I envisioned having. When they could of turned me away and not helped me. I was more than blown away with my treatment and service it was exceptional and I left feeling Good and excited about my Wedding Day. Being a mom of a daughter who doesn't fit a size 2-4-6 dress it is often difficult to find clothes that my 13 y/o wants to wear let alone that fits properly. After having been to 15 different dress stores with a disappointed child each time. Her feelings were hurt by the lack of professionalism and compassion of employees and the fact that nothing fit her properly. We walked into David's Bridal with a lot of apprehension! We were introduced to Faith and if only you could see the ear to ear smile of my child! She was treated with dignity and respect! Faith went out of her way to make my daughter feel good, laugh, and smile! We walked out of that building with a brand new dress, a pair of shoes, and a feeling beyond words! I tried another location for myself before, and had also been to the David's Bridal in Duluth for my sister's wedding... Both were disappointing experiences. This David's Bridal, however, was the BEST experience I could possibly hope for!!! Mikaela was so nice and helpful, and made sure she worked really hard to stay within my price point. I even asked about a few dresses that I saw on the rack, but she made sure I knew full well the price before she would bring them. I respect that a lot! I was so pleased with how attentive Mikaela was, and even appreciated the sweet comments from other attendants! No one was pushy, and though they showed me other options, I never felt forced to buy anything, which as a people pleaser, that's something I have a hard time with when people get pushy! Do make sure to make an appointment though, as they can get super busy and it's best to have someone there with you as their focus! I am happy to say I found my perfect dress, and no alterations were forced on me... Suggestions were made if I needed, but they said even they thought it was great without any alterations. I had an amazing experience at David's Bridal. I am plus sized and was concerned about the selection prior to my appointment but I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived early and was greeted by Jamie who checked me in for my appointment and walked me through the process while I waited. My consultant, Mikaela, was amazing. She had all the dresses I pulled ready when I came back to the fitting room and was eager to help. I found several dresses that I liked and one that I loved! Mikaela did an excellent job with accessories and immediately found a sash, headpiece, and veil that I loved and went perfectly with the dress. The assistant manager Jo Ann was available and also offered helpful advice with regard to my bridesmaid's dresses. I was able to stay well within budget and I had everything picked out within an hour and a half. I definitely plan to have my bridesmaids purchase their dresses and other accessories from this David's Bridal location. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for formal wear. Also, my mother and sister (MOH) were very impressed with how professional and caring the staff was. The experience was definitely unforgettable! read more

We have had quite a bit of experience with bridal shops over the years, most of them ranging from awful to horrendous, including two other David's stores. We are tall plus sized ladies. So once again facing the prospect of dress hunting we were steeled for the worst. We made an appointment with this store and went there as a starting place. Imagine our wonder and surprise to find......complete professional attention, full knowledge of their product, available and willing staff, a wide variety of stock. Top notch staff. Five stars to JoAnn, Megan and Abby, and other assorted staff. We bought a wedding gown the first visit. Then we dropped in without an appointment a second time looking for a MOTB dress. (Side note...the first visit was on a Saturday and the store was slammed. But the service was exemplary. Return visit was on a Wednesday and the store was empty.) Got great service, bought a dress, bra and shoes. My daughter was dreading this part of her wedding preparation. Instead it added to the wonderful experience it should be. AMAZING! FABULOUS! MEGAN IS THE BEST!!!!!!! Her customer service level was what I needed and she delivered time and time again!!! If you need someone to be honest with you and help you find your dream dress she is your woman! She cared she truly cared that is what I wanted! She listened to them but when I needed answers or suggestions it was about her and I in our personal bubble one on one ignore the craziness! I needed that!!!!! First, I would like to say thank you so much to the staff at David's Bridal located in Athens, GA. Felicia, Abby, Rachel and the store manager (forgot her name) and the rest of the team, they were all awesome. Everybody had a positive attitude and would offer their assistance but they didn't pressure me or harass me while I was looking around with my party to find styles of dresses. I had a hard time making up my mind picking out a gown but Felicia and Rachel gave me several choices to choose from and I really loved all of their choices. All I had to do was explain what I didn't want my gown to look like or the type of gown I was looking for. Also, for all of the staff to address me by my name and not have to ask my name when I walked in the door, that is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not sure why this location has such low reviews. Yes, it is busy, but that is because it is a well-known bridal store in a busy part of town. Spoke with some consultants at a bridal show. I was told to make an appointment if I wanted to come by during the weekend, so I made an afternoon appointment. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and began taking my information. Shortly after my consultant, Faith, greeted me and asked me about my personal style, likes/dislikes, etc. She pulled some really beautiful (and affordable) styles, but more importantly, she listened to what I liked and didn't like about each style to help me hone in on what I felt most comfortable in. After less than two hours I found a beautiful and affordable gown that I absolutely love. Faith was awesome at helping me pick out accessories that really help complete the look. Don't skip this place because the reviews say it is busy. There are some great people working here. read more

I just went in for my second fitting a week ago. I was honestly dreading it based off of my first alterations appointment. Christina was my alterations person this time. She was absolutely wonderful! She was genuinely excited for me to try it on especially with me being the first person to have the new sleeves they got in added to the dress. Her and the other staff present at the time made me feel beautiful and were very supportive and encouraging. Christina drew a diagram and helped explain the bustle to my mom. Everything fit properly and she just had to sew one thing on the bustle which took a few minutes and the dress was ready to go home with me! She even carried my dress out to the car for me! Wonderful service! Both Christina and Mikaela made my experience with David's Bridal a very pleasant one! There may not be some reviews on here that are helpful to most of you. However, David's Bridal has helped me in more ways than one. I'm a plus sized girl and I love my body but when I have skinny girls trying to get me in a dress showing what my parents and god made I tend to shut down and want to get the hell out dodge. But, David's Bridal was VERY helpful on not making me feel shy or make me have to suck in my stomach to where my belly button is trying to eat my back. I absolutely loved the experience I had and everyone here that helped me pick out my dress for my wedding. It was very personal and they tended to MY needs on what I wanted and needed and my Bridesmaids. I went in to try on a few dresses I had looked at previously, and brought a few of my bridesmaids with, and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted and getting set up, even without an appointment! My stylist was Shay, and she was awesome to work with! She made sure she got the answer to every single question we had, even if she had to go track down information for us. I found my dress and started looking through bridesmaids dresses, and found one we all liked. Instead of just sitting back and letting us try on a million, she went and picked 4 other dresses that went with this one dress perfectly, and explained the different materials and colors for all the dresses to ensure whatever we picked worked well! We were in and out in an hour 1/2 and got my dress, my MOH dress and my bridal parties dress, just due to her help and expertise! Was for sure an awesome and fun experience. read more

OMG. You should have seen my face! So overwhelmed but I was put at ease very quickly! Jenna who is new to DB's she told me, was fantastic. I tried on three dresses and I found the perfect one! I got to ring the bell! I am in a same sex relationship of 22 yrs. They didn't even flinch. They assisted just like all the other brides there. I went back almost a week later and got a bra that Meghan helped me with. Absolutely gorgeous attitude. The manager was just as excellent. Very thorough and spoke slowly with good eye contact amd told me about our layaway and DB'S policies. Circled the remainder on the receipt and everything. Joann was too cool. Carla was a rockstar!! I came in pretty distraught about bridesmaid dresses. My sister's wedding was a surprise, and less than a month away. I needed something inexpensive, that fit perfectly (no time for alterations), and that could be shipped in time for the wedding. Carla was so patient and understanding. She really understood me and my needs, and picked up on my cues. I don't like to be bothered when I'm shopping, and she got that. She was there with answers and options when I needed her, but didn't lurk around the dressing room door. My favorite kind of clerk! Felicia also assisted, (I may have been a bit overbearing and needy. I was kind of in a panic) and she deserves a gold star! I brought my niece in to shop for a Homecoming dress and we had the pleasure of having Katelyn as our stylist. My niece is extremely picky and had her mind set on a certain style dress. Katelyn was pulling dresses left and right trying to find something that this picky child would like. Katelyn ended up bringing a dress that was totally out of the style my niece wanted, but was telling her to just try it on because it would look good with her body type. I have to say that I was shocked when my niece even agreed to try it on...when my niece stepped out of the dressing room and saw how perfect it looked on her, we knew that was the one!!! I cannot say enough good things about Christine and Mikela. Both of them made my daughter's experience at David's Bridal in Athens, Ga unforgettable and special. They are very considerate, patient, and kind. They listened to all of my daughter's concerns and acted on them quickly and to her satisfaction. When she chose her dress the staff gathered around, handled her a bell to ring and clapped for her. After alterations when she tried on her dress, the staff (and some visitors) again gathered around and showered her with compliments.
