Just want to give a shout out to I do I do, lovely bridal shop in Athens. Our first and only stop to find a wedding dress for my daughter. It was a wonderful experience. They are very accommodating and I think her name was Erin is a very good stylist. After the first dress she knew where to go next and with the help of my hubby came back with several dresses she picked as her 3 finals. They allowed us to bring champagne and a charcuterie board for the appt. They supplied plates, glasses and napkins. The shop has many dresses of varying styles. My daughter did say yes to the dress and we were thrilled. Very reasonable pricing. Forget the online dress! Have the experience and enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity that you will cherish. Honestly made the dress buying experience more stressful than anything. My "stylist"? was a very young girl with poor customer service skills who looked annoyed about having to deal with customers (cool if it's your summer job, but this is my wedding and one of the biggest milestones in my life...). I was not allowed to (I assume, because NO ONE ever offered) browse the selection of dresses to pick any out, they would pick them from the rack and bring them back to you in the dressing room. No picking/choosing. Picked gowns for me that looked nothing like my inspiration photos. Kept bringing me dresses in styles that I did not like after I repeatedly asked for a different style. Only brought out dresses in the high-end of my budget. I was treated kinder by David's bridal which is a literal corporate chain. I picked a small business because I assumed it would mean I would get decent customer service, I was not expecting the opposite. Very disappointing. read more

I did not enjoy this store at all. I hate posting negative reviews, but my experience at this store was not good. They made me feel cheap with what I considered a great budget for a dress (well over $1,000), did not listen to me with what I wanted, and did not give me much personal attention at all. I had made an appointment and expected to have a good time. I love supporting local businesses, but I was really disappointed. They tried to get me to try on bridesmaid dresses and imagine them in white.... I don't know any bride that would want that... They do not have much of a selection either. read more

I called I do I do bridal desperately looking for a particular Stella York dress that I had learned was in the Spring 2017 collection and pretty much only at their trunk shows. I do I do was having a Stella trunk show on the upcoming week and was happy to assist with working me in an appointment. Patty was the one who got my appointment set up and was so nice on the phone. My mom and I made a 3.5 hour drive and the dress I had been hunting is the dress I ended up purchasing. Jan helped me with my fitting and was such a pleasure to work with. I can't imagine a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for your dream dress. Our trip was more than worth it! I live in Atlanta, and you'd think being the much bigger city with billions more bridal shops would make it the place to find your gown. Athens only has this one bridal shop, but it beats the hell out of all Atlanta has to offer! I went to maybe four or five shops around Atlanta with not much luck. I was starting to believe there was no dress for me in the world. My pessimism about the ordeal made me hesitant to drive all the way out to I Do I Do, despite the fact that a good friend of mine and her sister-in-law both found spectacular dresses there. I'm so glad I went, though! It's a small shop, but there are no crap dresses thrown in there to boost the inventory. The quality of the selection blew me away! I found my perfect dress in a matter of minutes and two more beautiful gowns that made the decision tough. The owner, Patty, is also fantastic. She's friendly, helpful, and not at all judgmental, which I definitely appreciate (no snide remarks about weight, no endless jokes about bringing my fiance in with me, etc.). As for the details, they do try to stock a range of sizes, but most seemed to be size 14. I think their prices are very reasonable too. My dress was $800, and that seemed to be the middle of the price range. My dress hasn't come in yet, so I can't comment on alterations. From what I've seen from the other two girls who got their dresses there, that part seemed to go off without a hitch. Point of the story is that if you live in Athens, go there. If you live in Atlanta, go there. It's worth it. read more

Walked into the store and was looked at by the lady as if i had two heads. No greeting was offered or any mention of welcome and I was told she was closing early and couldn't help me because she was having to pick up son. Completely understandable, however no mention was made of looking around or handing me a business card or even offering to set up a future appointment. I asked to look around and she agreed with reluctance then walked to the back to discuss with her partner while ogling us up and down. Defiantly did not feel welcome and when she kept asking if the gray car was ours at the door we all took the hint and left. Her attitude was snotty and rude. I will not be back nor recommend to any of my friends. read more

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with this Bridal Shop. I am not a person who easily gets upset and I try to be mindful that we all make mistakes. I'm not even a person who sends food back even if I really hate it! I live out of town, and had to order a bridesmaid's dress over the phone since this small shop does not have a website. Well, somehow, Patti, the owner, ran my card twice. I live in the 21st century, unlike this small shop who doesn't have a fax machine or letterhead, and have mobile banking with text alerts. When I called to talk to Patti about this, she argued with me and talked over me when I tried to explain myself. I spent hours being upset about my account being overdrawn, talking to the bank, taking off of work, and having to get the bank to correct this. read more

My daughter and I went to I Do, I Do looking for a white dress for a formal and apparently they were having a 'trunk show' (which we didn't know, how would we?). The older woman, who I believe to be the owner made a rude comment about us not having an appointment, that my daughter was too young, that we were looking too early for the event that she claimed to know all about but clearly didn't. We were hoping for a fun experience looking for potential dresses, however, the attitude of the shop owner made my daughter want to leave because she felt unwelcome. It's a shame because I have an older daughter who is getting engaged in December and will need a dress as well. This was the first place and only place I visited to find a wedding dress. I was in Athens visiting my sister when we decided to make a last-minute appointment to see if they had anything I liked. Knowing it was a smaller store, I was not expecting much in terms of selection and definitely did not expect to find THE DRESS. But I did and almost right away! Patty, the owner, is absolutely fabulous. I showed her some pictures of dresses I liked. Then she asked for my budget and didn't bat an eyelash when I told her. She had a few dresses in mind and had me browse the front of the store while she retrieved them. Within minutes, she came back with three dresses that were right up my alley in both style and affordability. She was extremely knowledgable and patient - I never felt pressured to buy. She also had me try on two more dresses with completely different silhouettes from the others, just to make sure I knew what I wanted. I scheduled a return appointment for the next week so my mother could be there when I picked the dress. That day I worked with Jocelyn, another wonderful employee who also helped me pick out a veil. Just great one-on-one customber service. Smaller inventory but gorgeous gowns. Very reasonable prices - all the ones I tried on were below $1,000. And they all agreed that the most inexpensive dress looked the best on me, so you know they're looking out for the brides! They cap their alteration charges at $75 and give you 10% off a veil if you buy a dress there. I live 2 hours away and am very happy with my decision to buy my dress from I Do I Do! read more

I had just left David's Bridal and had a pretty poor experience when we decided just to have a quick look at I Do I Do - since it was already 4:30 and they closed at 5:00. Not only did I find the perfect wedding dress for me, but the girls working were so helpful! They grabbed an additional dress to try on, even though they were minutes from closing, and agreed to hold the dress for me so I can come back Sunday for a more formal fitting. I set up an appointment at I do, I do: and I arrived on time. The entire time I was there (40 minutes tops) my bridesmaid, my mom and myself felt as if we were a burden to them, even though I only tried on 3 dresses! My mom ended up having to pick out a veil and belt for me since my consultant was too busy planning the rest of their week. The consultants was also extremely rude to my mother, obviously she did not realize who would be buying the dress. Overall, I was so disappointed and ended up finding my dress at another bridal salon in Athens! read more
