TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!! I went towards the end of the day and somewhat knew what I wanted and the store manager, Tahir came out to assist me as all the other team members were assisting other customers. We went right to the piece that I was pondering and he also showed me everything I inquired about; he was patient, very informative, kind but not overbearing, which is a plus in my book. After he helped me understand what future items I would purchase and I made my final decision on the new piece, he asked Moe to cash me out. I honestly didn't know that Tahir was the store manager until I read his card to make sure that I spelled his name correctly for this review. Both gentleman were such a class act and I will definitely be back to support them specifically!! Overall, DY is a beautiful collection of wearable art that I am still falling in love with-- thanks so much T and Moe for all your help; I truly appreciate it and look forward to my next piece!!! -t

We were so happy with the staff at this location. They were very friendly and really listened to our personal style and had great recommendations for our wedding. Joshua was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend!

We bought two men's wedding rings at this DY. Very friendly staff and super attentive. We probably tried on half the store before we settled on what we wanted. Our "brand ambassador," Christina, couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. She even had some items flown in from another location to help us get exactly what we wanted. We were offered bottled water or champagne each time we shopped with her (naturally, we had champagne). DY is definitely a premium brand with a matching price tag, but the beautiful and unique jewelry combined with the attentive and personalized service definitely represent the brand well. While shopping around for our wedding bands, another jeweler even referenced DY men's wedding bands with a degree of reverence for how they lead the industry in unique and beautiful men's bands that are more than just metal or a single stone. We didn't see a style like our infinity bands anywhere else on the market. Absolutely beautiful and unique. They've definitely made lifetime customers out of us. Which is good, because we may have to save money for a lifetime to afford the things we liked.

I had a wedding ring and an engagement ring in need of repairs and they have provided me with detailed itemized quotes readily submittable to the insurance company. This was particularly helpful as I did not need to go back and forth just to get the form part sorted to have the items repaired. Unlike many of the other area stores that is considered authorized retailer for Rolex, Tiny Jewel Box actually has an onsite Rolex technician who can assist you on the spot. This is nice as the last time I took my watch elsewhere, they had to mail it off to the Houston factory and it took several months for it to return. Consequently, I was very pleasantly surprised when I went in to the store expecting to do the same mail out and wait for months ordeal. My watch was inspected on the spot with minimal wait time and it turned out I can just have my jubilee bracelet adjusted on the spot. This was helpful as I didn't want the crystal to keep banging against hard surfaces because it was too big around my wrist. It was really gracious of them that I did not need to make a separate appointment just so I can have the jewelry and watch service related matters addressed. There are many other retailers who has no appointments available for me to get items serviced or receive a mere quote for service. (Looking at you, Tiffany's and other jewelers) That part alone is huge, since it saves me so much time, and at no point did I feel unwelcome. Parking is available around the store on a street level and some paid / free. It's best to swing by during the weekdays to avoid road closures and otherwise. You can also use Amex, if you so wish.

How do I give 6 stars? 7 stars? 100? Dan and JewelryClassDC deserve them, and more…read more I worked with Dan to make my engagement ring and it was an unforgettable experience. It can feel like a real leap of faith to do something so personal and important in such an unconventional way, and to put your trust in a stranger and in your own ability to learn something you have never even considered before--but I am so glad I took it. I have an experience I will remember for the rest of my life, my fiancée (she said yes of course!) has a beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind heirloom she adores and values beyond measure, and we have a story we will tell over and over again. She is already getting questions about where I found her ring, and her friends are already gushing about how amazed they are I made it. Honestly, I am amazed too. I wasn't sure I could make a ring that looked better than a beginner's craft project!--but that was before I met Dan. I had a personal design idea that not only do they not sell in stores, they don't even really sell jade cut how I needed. As far as I can tell, no one had done this before. Well, now someone has, it turned out incredible, and it's all because Dan made it possible. He went above and so far beyond. As a craftsman he is not just skilled, but meticulous, and determined to make sure every product he works on meets his high standard of excellence. As a teacher he is patient, knowledgeable, and eager to share and show what he knows--which is a lot.  And to top it all off, he is a real man of his word--exactly the kind of person you want to put your trust in when dealing with precious metals, stones, and memories. In short, they don't 'em like Dan anymore--that goes for his character, and his jewelry. If you need jewelry made, if you need jewelry worked on, if you need a guiding hand to make something yourself--do yourself a favor and see Dan and his team at JewelryClassDC.

He wrote back, "probably" and told me to bring it by that weekend and he'd have a look. I told him I would come Saturday and he wrote that he might have to go the DMV at some point, but that he should be around. I came by Saturday and he was not there, so I left the piece with a young woman who admired the bracelet and tagged it to give it to him and took my phone number and email. When I had heard nothing by Wednesday, I called and Daniel somewhat impatiently said that "I haven't even looked at it," but that he would. I waited another three days and called a week from when I had originally dropped it off, only to have Daniel say that he "hadn't even looked at it" and I told him I would just come over to take it back. I came and he dumped the bracelet in my hand, again saying, "I haven't looked at it." When I reminded him that he had said Wednesday that he would look at it, he barked "What do you want from me!!!!!"

It was so blingy and likely very expensive that she yelled at him for buying it. I, still in elementary school, saw that she was dissatisfied with the purchase and offered to take it off her hands. Surprisingly, she refused my offer. Well, earlier this year, exactly three decades later, she finally gave me the damn thing, along with appraisal paperwork from 1992 saying that it was worth $10,000 even then, before 30 years of inflation. But don't get excited and start planning to rob me quite yet, Internet. She also told me that the guy who sold it to my dad was later federally investigated for selling fake diamonds, so there was a chance it wasn't even real. I needed an appraisal. I looked around, and saw that Ascot Diamonds was highly reputable, so I reached out about an appraisal via e-mail. Paul e-mailed me back very promptly and offered to appraise it for free. I came in at the agreed time expecting it to be a regular storefront but it was more like a serious business office, immediately making me regret my scuzzy short shorts that I had thrown on for running errands. Paul was kind and welcoming and pleasant and sat me down at his desk while he examined the diamonds, weighed the bracelet, and then did a bunch of math on a calculator. He was able to confirm that they were real but that, while the bracelet was definitely worth something, the original appraisal was VERY overstated (so, big surprise, Internet, my bracelet is not worth $10,000, please don't rob me). In addition to giving me this candid but helpful information, Paul offered to recommend places where I could sell it, though I declined, as it is still quite pretty and, after waiting 30 years for it, I'm not ready to give it up. I did, however, point out what I thought was a damage, and asked if he had ideas on where to get it repaired. He looked at it and determined it was just dirt so then he cleaned it for me - again, no charge - and the whole thing is SO sparkly and shiny now. The entire interaction took maybe 10 minutes at the outside? It was so easy and pleasant and helpful, and he really didn't have to do this for me since I am not a paying customer but he did. What a truly nice guy.

Honestly, I was initially fairly disappointed that they didn't have any sample rings to try on…read more That's probably failure on my part for not doing thorough research on the ring shop. Everything is custom made so they only have the diamonds and a few sample holders that you can hold the diamond in with tweezers and hover in the sample ring band. We are in the initial phases of ring shopping so we haven't gotten too far in the process with Ascot. What I will say is I was also initially disappointed with the customer service. The man helping us didn't seem super friendly. He seems passionate about talking about his ring knowledge but not about MY experience if that makes sense. I was probably being a bit cranky that the ring shop wasn't what I expected. So maybe he was giving me the same energy in return. They had tons of diamond choices, but if you're looking for larger carat sizes you might not find it here. He only brought out the carat sizes in 2-3 carat range. I believe they can order what you want, but they didn't have anything in store to try on. When I asked to see a bigger carat for the emerald he said that's all they had (size 3 carat). There weren't a ton of band selections in office to try on either. They have lab and natural diamonds. I didn't see the process but my boyfriend said the prices were reasonable. Just remember they price everything out individually since you're customizing the ring. Also, the ambiance of the ring shop wasn't the best. It just looked like an office which made the experience not feel as special like "wow! I'm in a ring shop and we are really doing this." All of that is part of the experience when shopping. You need to book an appointment in advance. There's street parking, but you have to pay for the street or garage parking. There's no parking validation available. Overall, we might give them another chance once I have a better idea of what it is I want. If you're not sure what you want this might not be the place for you since everything is based on you customizing it. I really want to like this place but I wish they made the experience a bit nicer on their customers. They offer 3D print option of the ring which takes some time but that's the best they can do for us visual folks.
