The receptionist needs customer service training. She is rude off the bat. No patience or friendliness whatsoever.

I really appreciate how only one child is seen at a time. It eliminated my son's anxiety about appointments since there is no one else in the waiting room. The room itself is amazing, feels more like a play wonderland than a treatment room. It's very spacious, clean and has the best equipment. Lisa and April are always quick to respond to my emails and calls with courtesy and professionalism. Lisa has become vital to my son's care team and have given us hope. As a parent, there is no better feeling than to know your kid is in a safe place, with someone that genuinely cares for them, and is helping them grow and thrive. When we get to the office he runs to the door excited to play! Thank you Lisa and CTC!

We have tossed aside the notion that children primarily use behavior to get something or to get out of something, as research shows us that there is more to behavior than meets the eye. This allows us to go beyond the “what” and get to the “why.” Our goal is to give families the tools and resources they need to better understand their children and support them as they grow, in a way that fosters connection and compassion. We also advocate for the continual professional development of our therapists as they receive ongoing mentorship and continuing education opportunities.

From the moment I stepped foot in that clinic everything was rushed. When the doctor walked in I let him do his routine and look over my son. He mentioned everything was good... I proceeded to expressed my concerns about my child. FYI I am a first time mom and still I knew something was wrong. I said to him I did not think he was ok. His eyes were YELLOW. His tongue was YELLOW. His entire body especially his face was YELLOW. He hadn't pooped in a couple days and he was not as responsive as a new born should be. He gave him one more lil rushed look and said again he was fine. My instincts did not let me stay at peace. The next day I went in for a consult at Natividad and expressed my concerns to them. They immediately draught blood and let me know he had Jaundice. He was admitted that same night and placed under blue light. Worst feeling ever. I immediately called the clinic and canceled any future appointments with them. Never went back to this place and would definitely not recommend.

I would constantly get double charged for my co-pays because of their "whoopsies." It was frustrating as I would always insist on paying my copay upfront instead of being billed. Yet, I would always receive a bill and had to provide my receipts to have them corrected. When I asked questions about the kids they were met with either short answers or a condescending response. The annoying part was asking for school documents to be filled out. I needed to drop off the doc in person and also pick it up in person. I would also have to call to follow up since the staff never did. It was never fast and took about a week on average. Now at our new pediatrician office it is a world of difference. We get greeted at entry by the friendly staff. The doctors are always in a great mood and interact great with the kids. I wish I would've made the move sooner.

From the moment we entered the building everyone was so kind and swift on their feet. We were able to get in a room within 15 minutes; they did chest scans and all sorts of tests. My child was nervous and scared but our nurses did everything to comfort her and even brought her coloring books, popsicles and other entertainment to help pass the time. I WISH I got our two nurses names.. they were absolutely out of this world. They kept the mood light and silly for her while providing us with detailed information without scaring her. Thank you ER team!

I am a bit dissatisfied and disappointed with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. I am a…read morepatient that constantly is seen in the emergency department because of severe underlining health issues. Anyways the emergency department has a lot of construction going on and parking has become a significant problem. A few times I had to park on the lowest parking level far from the emergency department and nobody was available to assist me with a wheelchair, etc. I have also noticed that the waiting area in the emergency department has become more crowded and social distancing has become nearly impossible. What really was concerning is the shortage of nurses and nurse aids when pushing the call bell. Some of the doctors working in the emergency department also seem uninterested and sometimes have been downright rude. Being told by a doctor that coming to an emergency room is a waste of time when I am experiencing heart issues and breathing difficulties is outrageous. My last visit to CHOMP after a major fall and hitting my head on concrete I was released from the emergency department after several hours. I wasn't given clear information about my results and wasn't given information about precautions, etc. However what really got me fuming mad was that I had to walk with horrific pain to my car in the parking lot. My primary doctor and my cardiologist were really shocked when they heard this considering the condition I was in. The staff in the X-Ray and Cat-Scan were great and really went out of their way to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. I was really impressed with their care. Also a triage nurse named Silka who is German was great and she is absolutely one of the better nurses. Many of the old nurses that I know weren't around and I was told many of them are no longer working for CHOMP. I just hope CHOMP gets these issues resolved quickly and takes better care of patients under their care. My rating is three stars.
