Yes, she is direct but that is why she is so good at what she does. I chose to leave my son's last pediatrician because it was difficult to get apts when needed and never received calls back. EVERY TIME I call Dr. Bhatias office her and her staff fit my son in. Yes, you may have to wait a little SOMETIMES but she always takes the time to see my son when I or my husband are concerned about our son. My son had a nasty rash recently and from the moment she saw him she knew immediately what it was, started him on medication and we were in and out. There have been so many times we show up and she treats myself and son with so much respect and provides knowledgable care and treatment. Thank you Dr Bhatia and staff. The front desk was helpful and answered a couple questions I had about the forms. Once I was brought in, the assistant was brief but respectful and seemed to know the steps. They asked a few health history questions and went over my chart. The doctor came in a short while later and started asking questions that related directly to my concern. They explained a few possible causes and offered some advice on how to manage it better. I liked that they didn't rush the conversation and checked if I had any other questions before ending. I left with some simple instructions that seemed manageable. I wouldn't call it amazing but it was good enough that I'd return. It was a clean, decent place and the visit went like it should.

As I stepped to the door there was a white blonde lady, gave me 'Karen' vibes, and immediately said "you were here just now." And I'm standing there confused because I've never seen this woman in my life and I was just trying to get my shot. She then said "you just spoke to my manager" and that was when I realize she must've mistaken me for someone else. She scoffed and didn't bother taking my temperature and just tossed me aside to wait for the manager while everyone else got to go in smoothly. I was on time for my appointment, but waiting for the manager took so long I left. I have just never experienced such discrimination or generalization as an Asian American? Definitely not something I expected at any hospital considering I was wearing a mask so how can they have the audacity to say I was just here. I came in on Wednesday 1/13/21 at 11:45AM if anyone can investigate who was currently the front door shift taking temperatures. I was disappointed in the service here as I wasn't able to get in for no reason, I read the guidelines and none of which I experienced. I may have been disrespected here, but what bothers me the most is that now my YOUNG patients have to wait another week to resume treatment with me due to the ignorance of people who make assumptions. Today was extremely bad weather with winds, rain and cold temperatures. Unfortunately, all the people waiting in line was elderly and not prepared to be getting wet and having to wait outside like this with no shelter etc. When we called and made the appointment, we were promised proper ADA accommodations and was ensured that we would be taken right in and not having to stand in very long lines, especially in the cold and wet weather. The ONE person outside signing everyone in was extremely overwhelmed and which made things even slower. I was very disappointed in the service to the elderly and no special accommodations were made due to the weather etc. Sorry to say it could have been much better organized and should have been much more caring for the elderly and people that needed better ADA accommodations.

They are now young adults so we have a long history in this practice and Dr. Pete has been outstanding in the care of my children, from minor issues to very big issues both with their physical and mental health. He is responsive and attentive, his bedside manner is excellent and his diagnosis and care plans have always proven correct and effective. Best of all, my kids always felt safe and comfortable in his care, as he is warm and engages with them honestly. We've never had a negative experience with the front desk staff or billing department. Though my kids are aging-out as they go onto the next chapters in their lives, we will be forever grateful that we had Dr. Pete as their primary care pediatrician. He set a high standard for us!

Yesterday, his office proved to be exceptional and launched them into the 5 star category...our son injured his elbow at the playground while rough housing with 2 other boys. He was wimpering in pain and couldn't shake it off. He said mom, call the doctor. At 3:15 pm I called, the receptionist asked if I could be there by 3:30. We showed up to a crowded waiting room. I checked in. The nurse immediately showed us to a private room, iced his arm and asked how it happened. She stepped out, the doctor stepped in. He asked a few questions about the nature of the injury, touched his shoulder, asked to see the arm. He grabbed his hand and gently shook it. Our son let out a yelp and then it was all over. The elbow was dislocated and could be popped back in. I think we were there about 20 minutes...an emergency room would have been a 3 hour experience. Now many of you might be saying, "I knew that"...well, I did not. Dr. Khan and his staff were on it and saved me not hundreds but thousands on a trip to the emergency room. This man has the experience, intelligence and a sensitive no-nonsense attitude needed in caring for kids. I trust his wisdom and diagnostic ability.

He struggles a lot with anxiety especially when going to the dentist but we just had a dentist appointment last week and it was very smooth sailing he was calm and the dentist actually got all the work that needed to be done in one visit. My husband I are very happy. Dr Choi and her mom work very well together they are both very sweet and very kind and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend both of them.
