I can't express the gratitude I have for Dr Bhatia and her staff. I have seen reviews on here that say she is rude and that is NOT the case. Yes, she is direct but that is why she is so good at what she does. I chose to leave my son's last pediatrician because it was difficult to get apts when needed and never received calls back. EVERY TIME I call Dr. Bhatias office her and her staff fit my son in. Yes, you may have to wait a little SOMETIMES but she always takes the time to see my son when I or my husband are concerned about our son. My son had a nasty rash recently and from the moment she saw him she knew immediately what it was, started him on medication and we were in and out. There have been so many times we show up and she treats myself and son with so much respect and provides knowledgable care and treatment. Thank you Dr Bhatia and staff. Everything went alright during the visit. The location is easy to get to and the parking wasn't bad either. The waiting area was quiet and not crowded, which helped. The front desk was helpful and answered a couple questions I had about the forms. Once I was brought in, the assistant was brief but respectful and seemed to know the steps. They asked a few health history questions and went over my chart. The doctor came in a short while later and started asking questions that related directly to my concern. They explained a few possible causes and offered some advice on how to manage it better. I liked that they didn't rush the conversation and checked if I had any other questions before ending. I left with some simple instructions that seemed manageable. I wouldn't call it amazing but it was good enough that I'd return. Horrible experience with Dr. Bhatia. She's very cold and has a special way of making you feel like an inadequate parent. Walked out crying as a fresh postpartum mom a few months ago too because she made me feel I wasn't doing enough. She also always makes you feel dumb when asking questions and the Wait time is ridiculous. You will almost always wait over an hour. The last straw was her not knowing what code to put to order labs, and she got upset she had to write a manual prescription for them instead. She scoffed at me and said "what a waste of time" as she was writing because SHE couldn't figure out the system. She kept asking me if anything had changed with my insurance and I kept assuring nothing had changed. She replied "stop saying nothing has changed! something might have changed, you always need to bring your cards" she walked out and asked her front desk staff to look into the error and I clearly heard the front office girl tell her all she needed to do was type a specific code. No insurance issues just a new system they are using. When she came back in to the room I was still trying to be lighthearted with her despite her attitude and said "you see dr Bhatia I told you it wasn't my fault" and she replies "yes it still is! you didn't bring your card in and some information didn't transfer over to the new system" like if I hadn't just heard what the office staff said. I replied "it's not my fault that you got a new system" Like always, her not being tech saavy is somehow the patients fault and if she doesn't try to blame you, she takes it out on the staff. We had enough we the disrespect and unprofessionalism. We've been coming to her since my kids were 2 yr old, now they are about in their teens I feel like it is getting longer and longer wait. I can bare an hour wait but this time it's over 2 hours. Reason being she always comes in 30 to 1 hr before seeing her 1st patient. Now we are 3rd inline have to wait over 2hrs? Showing up late to work on whenever and giving patients a hard time when you talk to her is straight up disrespectful and in any professional environment like this is very unprofessional. We will try to transfer our kids to someone professional and respectful that actually cares. read more

We have used this pediatrician for our first two kids. We keep telling ourselves that the service will get better the next time in, but it never does. It's been more headaches than good memories going there. The reason why we go there to begin with, is because my wife and her family went there as kids. Unfortunately, 2+ hours of waiting is beyond disrespectful. Why do you book people in for 9am appointments when the doctor doesn't come in until 9:30!?? I feel like she should retire, and let someone else take over. If you are late or miss an appointment you are charged a fee, but when the doctor is running late (every single time we book a 9 am or earlier appointment) not even an apology is given (from the doctor/ not staff). When you attempt to talk to the doctor or staff about the problem, they don't give a reason and not once has Dr. Bhatia even given an apology. You would expect some sort of apology even if it's a quick, "sorry I'm running a little late guys," as she comes into the room. The front desk staff has always been courteous and I have noticed they don't last long. It goes to show the lack of leadership. I'm sure staff gets tired of hearing complaints after complaints and they can't do anything about it. It's the Doctor who needs to retire, I'm almost certain she doesn't do it for the kids anymore. Specially when she jumps appointments and keeps children waiting longer than they should. Family friends have also noticed this. She skips families and keeps them waiting longer to take care of other later appointments. I'm not talking about kids who need to be seen because they are in pain or a possible emergency. I'm talking about others who also have an appointment. It's sad that she does these things. We have had enough of this and would not recommend her to anyone read more

Constantly rude on separate occasions, the attitude of the doctor and staff is just ridiculously rude I kept calling for paperwork for my son and got yelled at over the phone for calling so many times after the doctor told me it's my responsibility to keep calling but staff yell at me for doing what the doctor told me to do was keep calling. Will not be returning and don't recommend anyone to take any kind of unprofessionalism from this office. read more

Dr. Bhatia is pediatrician to our kids. She saw them since they were born. She's very patient, very responsive and I'm not talking about only with kids, with us as parents, too! We interviewed about 4 or 5 pediatricians in the area before our first kid was born and immediately loved her type of doctor. Now the kids love her too! read more

Dr. Bhatia and staff are super!! Most people's complaints are about wait time BUT listen here: Inhave called plenty of times to get one of my kiddos in the same day and they have never turned me down!!! I very much appreciate that being a new Mom. So, I know the wait can be bad....but, I suck it up knowing that she takes everyone that feels the need to be seen that day. I also appreciate that she doesn't over use 'antibiotics'. She doesn't go right for them- she likes to wait and see if the body will do what it's meant to do. My kiddos both love her. The Doctor is nice, staff is nice, but Admin is terrible. I used to bring my son there when he was a baby and they would always tell me at our next appointment I didn't pay my co-pay when I know I always did, so I ended up paying around $45 extra for being DOUBLE charged. We switched doctors. Several years later we switched our insurance so I tried out Bhatia again, keeping what had happened previously in mind and once again, they keep telling me I haven't paid but this time around I made sure to pay by credit card to prove on statements. Not to mention, plan on waiting at least 45 to get in after your scheduled appointment time. I've had it, we switched doctors. read more

Having to wait 2 hours to be seen is beyond ridiculous. Needless to say, Bhatia was unapologetic and rude about my upset with her running late on her appointments. After several attempts to get a clear answer as to when we would be seen and asking for a doctors note and prescription for a inhaler because I was walking away from our scheduled appointments...it was then when they said it was our turn to be seen. Mind you, that they moved a patient out of a room to get us in. I do not recommend ever going to this doctor and lastly she second guessed her diagnosis and prescribed a completely different medication then what she first suggested when she first walked into the room read more

Dr. Bhatia is great, don't get me wrong! She was my pediatrician as a child, BUT wait times are rediculous, I've waited close to 2 hours before. With 2 young children that is unacceptable. Also, if you need files transferred don't ever expect to receive them. Their office staff are nice but they really don't get much done. Their drive is minimal to help & please their patients. Sad it didn't work out for my kids to have Dr. Bhatia as their doctor but glad I figured it out sooner rather than later. We're SOOO happy with our new office. read more

Facts. 1. Wait is too long even for an appt. 2. Waiting room is tiny for the amount of patients she has. We have been sitting outside the office a few times and another doctor next door asked us to move our kids because he made too much noise. 3. She knows her stuff so that makes up for the other issues. But we are moving to another doctor to be closer to our home. 4. You are "responsible" for knowing how much your co pay is for each visit. If you dont, they are eligible to charge you an extra $20 for not knowing this at the time of visit. I find this quite interesting to say the least. I dont think any other doctors that I visit use this policy but whatever. We have choices. read more

The waiting room is too small. The day we went there were 4 of us waiting outside as well as a packed waiting room full of coughing and sick people! With this being said Dr Bhatia is a wonderful doctor who really knows her stuff. I wish she would book half as many people and then maybe her wait wouldn't be 2 plus hours. Great Doctor! Dr.Bhatia is great with the kids and knowledgeable. Her and her staff are very friendly. The reason I'm giving 3 stars out of 5 is because of the wait time. We are never seen on time, it's at least an hour and a half after our appointment time which is really frustrating! Especially with a sick child. I feel if you make an appointment you should be seen close to that time not almost 2 hrs later. patients respect the doctor's time and show up on time and I feel we should be shown the same. read more

Great doctor that is really good with our son, and she was also my pediatrician when I was a kid, but the average wait time before you even get into a room is over an hour. Probably 2+ hours on most visits from the time you arrive to the time you leave, with maybe 10 minutes of that actually having my son looked at. Whatever system they're using to book appointments really, REALLY needs to be overhauled because you shouldn't have to sit in a tiny room with a bunch of sick and crying kids for over an hour when you show up on time for your appointment. read more

Dr. Bhatia and her team are great. She is very thorough, kind and professional. She is extremely patient with fussy baby and anxious new parents like us. She answers all questions and concerns in the most compassionate way. Nurses are very caring and their handling is very gentle. Horrible waiting time at least 1 hour or more. Staff is just ok, but Dr. Bathia is sweet and takes her time answering all your questions.

Let me say, first of all, that we Love Dr. Bhatia as a doctor. She is VERY thorough and knowledgeable. She always got back to us with follow up. Whenever our sons had a medical issue, she took a lot of time discussing the issues and giving her medical opinion. We NEVER felt rushed by her. Herein lies part of the problem with her office. She is completely overbooked! She needs to have twice the amount of time allotted for patient appointments. There is ALWAYS a wait, even if you have an appointment. Office waiting area is way to small for the number of patients she sees. Her support staff is very nice, but requesting things and getting them in a timely manner is very difficult. We have decided to change to another pediatric office in Los Gatos. It is sad that we will have to drive so far to see a doctor, but we cannot continue at this office any longer. I hope Dr. Bhatia takes a look at her staff and the processes she has put in place in her office. She is a great doctor, but we can no longer continue with her with all these problems. This is a list of the common types of issues we have had recently: 1) called in prescription for refill on November 1. Pharmacy called the office several times to follow up. On Friday, November 11th, the pharmacy was told that the office would have to see my sons to refill. I then called the doctor's office and made appointments for the following Monday the 14th at 9:45. Got one prescription refilled due to the fact is was asthma medication and he had been without it a long time. But we had to wait until the appointment on the other. Why didn't they let us know we would have to come in on Nov. 2nd or 3rd instead 2) Monday 11/15 9:45 appointment-actually saw Dr. Bhatia around 11:45 an hour and forty five minute wait time. My husband finally got out of there around 12:15 pm. Half of his day of wasted for an appointment which should have taken an hour at the most. The waiting room was filled with sick children and there were so many people waiting that they were overflowing into the hallway. I would like to say this is unusual, but it is not. 3) My son went to emergency on November 21st. We called in to Dr. Bhatia's office for an emergency referral to Stanford as he needed to see a specialist there. We had to get him to Stanford by Wednesday the 23rd because he would not have been seen otherwise until the 28th of November due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Well, they sent the referral over, but they sent the wrong child's information. When I called back they apologized but took the rest of the day to get the correct one to Stanford. By the time they received it the Standford Clinic had closed. I called Stanford the next morning. We then had to be squeezed in as an emergency at Stanford the next day. This was not the first time I had problems getting referrals for other doctors. They often took days to weeks to get. 4) Called today to get records transferred to new pediatrician. Was told that there would be a $25 per child fee to get records transferred and that Dr. Bhatia is out of the office until a week before Christmas. They don't send out records while she is gone. So the new office will not get the records for over a month. They are willing to send over shot records now though! How nice is that! read more
