Overall I have loved the care of Pacific Coast Pediatrics, especially the professionalism of Dr…read more Giedt and Dr. Lim(5 ) Recently my child has had two appointments with Dr. Winter (only pleasant interaction was with the medical support staff) i will not be allowing her to meet with my child or I. She was condescending, and remarks made were inappropriate. I took my child to that first appointment, and her dad to the second and the fact that he had the same experience further validates how she needs some cultural humility training to help improve or build her interpersonal communication with patients that are from a culture different from her!! I will be sticking to the doctors (Giedt and Lim) whom have fostered a nurturing supportive environment when our child his seen by them, they unlike the latter take time to also interact with our child and make them comfortable! Update: I received a call from the Office Manager, she was very attentive, kind while she followed up regarding this review and the interactions that transpired. I feel much more at ease and have more information on Dr. Winter' s style, that does not negate the assumptions she made and our experience, however our family feels more informed and happy to move forward with our care here.

After 15 years, my children can no longer be seen at this practice after a serious of mistakes by…read morethe office staff and for which they are punishing us for. Perhaps I should have found a new pediatrician when they kept putting me on 30 minute holds every time I tried to make an appointment. This practice has gone down hill even more since it was bought out and the office staff are incompetent. My youngest just started high school and somehow, his middle school lost his vaccination records so I called MPPMG to obtain a copy for the school. They would not give me access to their portal since my health child had not been seen in 2 years. They were willing to fax the records to the high school so whatever. What they didn't send was the full vaccination record so I got a letter from the school saying there were missing required vaccines. My husband called and made an appointment to get the vaccine and given a 9:30am appointment. When he arrived with our child, he told them he was here for a 9:30am appointment and he & my child were taken back for vitals and then put in an exam room where they waited for quite a while before someone from the front desk came back and said the appointment was actually at 10:30am. My husband ask the woman if that was the case, why didn't they say anything when he checked in and why were they taken back to a room. He also told her he wanted her to know that this wasn't his fault and he would like to get out of there in a timely manner. In the end, my kid didn't even need any shots so the appointment was a huge waste of time. And today we received a letter stating that due to a recent interaction, they have fired my children as patients and will no longer see them. My husband was not rude and did not raise his voice at any point, which is why I felt to compelled to write this review. It should serve as a warning to anyone considering taking their kids here. They mess up, don't sent the complete vaccination records to the school, tell us the incorrect appointment time and now they won't treat our kids. I could see if voices were raised and foul language was used but this was a normal interaction yet this is how they respond.

I called this pediatricians office to speak to the referral coordinator and request help on contacting this office, I simply asked if there was an alternate number or if she can contact them for me(some offices offer that) and she just said, "well I called this morning and they answered" and I said "okay I guess I'll keep trying" and all she said was "okay" and hung up on me. She was very dismissive of everything I was saying. I'm trusting this office with my toddler, I want to be able to contact them any concerns/questions and feel heard. This type of customer service shouldn't be acceptable especially in this type of work environment.

So far, this place has been great. I was surprised when I couldn't find a single pediatrician in…read moreMonterey who would accept new Tricare patients. We drove to Salinas because Pediatric and Adolescent Medical Associates could see all 3 of my kids. Not only could they take them as patients, but they could see them all for intake appointments within a few days. Not three months (like at some military treatment facilities) but under a week. My kids have seen three doctors there, their PCM and others as needed for acute care, and they've all been wonderful. Including putting up with my youngest two kids being hyper and bored during their big sister's appointments. For acute problems, they have an hour where they see established patients without an appointment each morning, so getting my kids in when they're sick is only a problem if it's late on a Saturday night. BUT - when my daughter's fever spiked and I was worried her stomach flu was appendicitis, I left a message for the on call pediatrician Saturday night and received a call back within 2 minutes. She walked me through a few quick tests to rule out appendicitis, so I wasn't up all night wondering if I should take my little girl to the ER. 2 MINUTES. On a Saturday night. They're busy, and seem to always have a packed waiting room, but they are obviously a very well managed medical practice who can provide optimal care and customer service. Very much recommended.
