She was condescending, and remarks made were inappropriate. I took my child to that first appointment, and her dad to the second and the fact that he had the same experience further validates how she needs some cultural humility training to help improve or build her interpersonal communication with patients that are from a culture different from her!! I will be sticking to the doctors (Giedt and Lim) whom have fostered a nurturing supportive environment when our child his seen by them, they unlike the latter take time to also interact with our child and make them comfortable! Update: I received a call from the Office Manager, she was very attentive, kind while she followed up regarding this review and the interactions that transpired. I feel much more at ease and have more information on Dr. Winter' s style, that does not negate the assumptions she made and our experience, however our family feels more informed and happy to move forward with our care here.

From the moment I stepped foot in that clinic everything was rushed. When the doctor walked in I let him do his routine and look over my son. He mentioned everything was good... I proceeded to expressed my concerns about my child. FYI I am a first time mom and still I knew something was wrong. I said to him I did not think he was ok. His eyes were YELLOW. His tongue was YELLOW. His entire body especially his face was YELLOW. He hadn't pooped in a couple days and he was not as responsive as a new born should be. He gave him one more lil rushed look and said again he was fine. My instincts did not let me stay at peace. The next day I went in for a consult at Natividad and expressed my concerns to them. They immediately draught blood and let me know he had Jaundice. He was admitted that same night and placed under blue light. Worst feeling ever. I immediately called the clinic and canceled any future appointments with them. Never went back to this place and would definitely not recommend.

I would constantly get double charged for my co-pays because of their "whoopsies." It was frustrating as I would always insist on paying my copay upfront instead of being billed. Yet, I would always receive a bill and had to provide my receipts to have them corrected. When I asked questions about the kids they were met with either short answers or a condescending response. The annoying part was asking for school documents to be filled out. I needed to drop off the doc in person and also pick it up in person. I would also have to call to follow up since the staff never did. It was never fast and took about a week on average. Now at our new pediatrician office it is a world of difference. We get greeted at entry by the friendly staff. The doctors are always in a great mood and interact great with the kids. I wish I would've made the move sooner.

She is a wonderful caring human being who cares for her patients. The "front office staff" are a bunch of immature and unprofessional people. They always overlook everything and say it was an error on their end. They do not acknowledge nor apologize for the inconvenience their errors cause. If you ask them for their manager's name so you can communicate and inform of their behavior, they respond with a "sure, her name is so and so .. in a sarcastic tone, knowing nothing will be done or said to them. The Office Manager does not seem to care of what goes on in that front office. She seems half ways asleep every time I've seen here in there. Unbelievable, I've been with this office since my oldest was a baby and he is now 32. I'm glad I will be done dealing with this front office staff shortly.

I called this pediatricians office to speak to the referral coordinator and request help on contacting this office, I simply asked if there was an alternate number or if she can contact them for me(some offices offer that) and she just said, "well I called this morning and they answered" and I said "okay I guess I'll keep trying" and all she said was "okay" and hung up on me. She was very dismissive of everything I was saying. I'm trusting this office with my toddler, I want to be able to contact them any concerns/questions and feel heard. After hanging up I called back and got someone else who said they don't know why their coworker cancelled our appointment when we have current insurance and the appointment could have been kept but by that point, my appointment slot was already taken... We drove to Salinas because Pediatric and Adolescent Medical Associates could see all 3 of my kids. Not only could they take them as patients, but they could see them all for intake appointments within a few days. Not three months (like at some military treatment facilities) but under a week. My kids have seen three doctors there, their PCM and others as needed for acute care, and they've all been wonderful. Including putting up with my youngest two kids being hyper and bored during their big sister's appointments. For acute problems, they have an hour where they see established patients without an appointment each morning, so getting my kids in when they're sick is only a problem if it's late on a Saturday night. BUT - when my daughter's fever spiked and I was worried her stomach flu was appendicitis, I left a message for the on call pediatrician Saturday night and received a call back within 2 minutes. She walked me through a few quick tests to rule out appendicitis, so I wasn't up all night wondering if I should take my little girl to the ER. 2 MINUTES. On a Saturday night. They're busy, and seem to always have a packed waiting room, but they are obviously a very well managed medical practice who can provide optimal care and customer service. Very much recommended.
