He takes good care of you on the chair, makes sure you are comfortable, and EXPLAINS everything (as much or as little as you want to know- I like knowing!) I've had many regular cleanings and more involved procedures and never felt pain- at most pressure or discomfort. The practice- waiting room is small but I've never been there for more than a few minutes. The place is clean, has a cool vibe, and when I tell you those chairs are comfortable...they must be real leather and you can definitely tell. What I love- Dr. Hong has his own cartoon art up on the wall. He is quite talented! Didn't take any pics, but I will next time!

Many times, that causes more issues. However, Dr. Hong is very honest in what he does and he refers patients to specialists when special skills are needed. Also, he is ALWAYS on time and does not delay the appointments. Most importantly, my mom and I, we are 100% satisfied with his treatments and trusts his treatment plans and his service. Although we live far away from his office, we've never thought about finding a new dentist as it is hard to find a trustful dentist! I would give 100 starts or more if I can.

Upon arriving there, the front desk individual didn't even bother looking at my account and made me sign all the paperwork that I already did ahead of time. I didn't want to argue with her and make a bad impression for my first visit, so I just redid them all - just for her to look at my account after I handed her the papers and say, "Oh! Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She did a fantastic job with the x-rays and cleaning though! A lady named Kim walked in next, no clue what her role was either. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. That's difficulty for someone who works an 8-5 job and cannot get off. Overall, I was unimpressed with this visit and will be debating with coming back.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Buldoc for a few years now…read more Prior to finding Dr. Buldoc we had extremely horrible dental experiences. I was never one to shy away from going to the dentist but after moving to the DC metro area we had bad experience after bad experience. Because of the anxiety I developed from those experiences, we went almost 3 years without going to the dentist so of course our teeth were not in the best shape. Experiencing incorrect billing, bad dental work, incorrect dental recommendations and down right getting yelled at would make anyone run from a dentist. My first visit with Dr. Buldoc I explained my experiences and my level of anxiety. He made me feel super comfortable and explained everything every step of the way. Dr. Buldoc got me all the way together. My teeth are back to how they were pre- DMV move. Not only is Dr. Buldoc knowledgeable, he is pleasant and so is his staff. They are probably the nicest office staff I've ever experienced in the area. Even after moving to PG County a little over a year ago, we refuse to look for another dentist. The drive is worth it knowing we don't have to worry about the health of our teeth.

I first called the one that was in the same building as me and was surprised they were able to get me in the same day. I went down on my lunch break and was amazed at their customer service. Upon arrive the lady at the front desk asked me if I felt up to it enough to be given a tour of the office which I agreed to and loved she cared enough to ask. She showed me the sink and toothbrush and toothpaste they keep in the reception area for people to be able to freshen up prior to their appointments and then showed me around to the rest of the office going by the hygienist area, the treatment/Dr. Myles area followed by the billing and office manager area before coming back up front. I love if you do arrive early they do have a quite room with a t.v. in there especially for those of us who get anxious being at the dentist office. After a few minutes I was called back to have my 360 xrays done and my wing bites. Once those were put on the screen the dr assistant came back and did a quick exam and determined which tooth was hurting and soon after Dr. Myles came back and did a through exam and confirmed the tooth. He stated it was my wisdom tooth and it was just better to go ahead and have all of them pulled at once so I wouldn't have further problems with them down the road and be back in the same boat. He also informed me I had some other problem areas so once I went to the Oral surgeron and had those teeth pulled to come back and see him for a deep cleaning and to start the repair work on getting my teeth back in order which I knew I needed done for a long time. Overall, a great experience and I love how friendly and down to early Dr. Myles once and he was able to keep my anxiety down in an already painful situation. Even though he wasn't able to help me at that moment they were able to make sure I got into the oral surgeon they work with ASAP so that they could see how in depth my procedure would be and give me an plan of attack for getting my teeth removed safely (I have seizures). I will be back to get the rest of my work done and think for the first time in my adult life I have actually found a dentist I trust.

I remember her coming into our office raving about the office, staff, and service she experienced. She even came back with goodies - a boxed lunch, travel mug, and some gift cards (for the office) to share. She also mentioned she got a paraffin wax treatment on her hands while she waited? I was sold. I made my appointment with Dr. Myles for a cleaning. After being welcomed into the office, they sat me in a private room with a massage chair and a TV to wait and fill out my paperwork. Then, the hygienist took me for my paraffin wax treatment (woohoo!). The hygienist was super friendly and she did a wonderful job - pain free! (Yessss). Dr. Myles did an exam at the end quickly, but was knowledgeable and very kind. I had 4 cavaties (my first ones, boo), and they helped me set up my appointment quickly for the following week and when I came in to get them done, I was in and out in 30 minutes. And no pain. It was awesome. Oh, and I also got my mug and boxed lunch ;)

Everyone at this office is super nice and I have no ill will, but I want to share my experience to…read morevalidate anyone having the same feelings. I came in for a cleaning and the dentist told the assistant to run my xrays through AI. This immediately set off alarm bells for me, as I expect a trained dentist to be able to identify cavities with their eye and not rely on AI, which we know makes mistakes. AI said I had 4 cavities, which I thought sounded like too many because I'm diligent about my dental hygiene. But I went ahead and got two of them filled. On one of the fillings the dentist kept drilling and drilling, and despite being numbed, I could feel it. I raised my hand to say I could feel it and he just stopped and started filling it. I was like - if I hadn't raised my hand, would he have just kept going? I then had persistent pain in the tooth for a week (there was zero pain before) so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out the dentist had not adjusted the filling to my bite correctly, so the way I was biting was inflaming the nerves in my tooth. Adjusting fillings to bite is Dentistry 101, so why wasn't that done? The new dentist also said he drilled so close to my nerves that I was almost in a root canal situation. Fortunately not, but wow, that really scared me. He also said I only needed one other filling, he didn't at all see this 4th filling I was told I needed. I saw another review on here of a man who was told he needed 7 fillings and then a second opinion said he only needed 4, so this isn't a one-off instance. It seems like this place prioritizes making as much money as possible, and therefore wants to sell as many procedures as possible, regardless of negative health impacts. I was also forced to buy a $30 prescription toothpaste, what a rip-off. They also push their in-house orthodontist heavily on people. I'm happy with my teeth even though they're not perfect, so I was not thrilled about the dentist unprompted telling me all the ways I could make them better with their orthodontist. In this economy?! I'm happy I found another dentist who doesn't put money first.

While…read moreI can't speak for every doctor in the practice, I've worked directly with Dr. Rena Vakay, and she's been excellent--professional, thorough, and very attentive. The staff truly makes this office stand out. Tonia at the front desk is incredibly helpful with scheduling and logistics and genuinely tries to make things easy for patients. On the clinical side, I worked closely with Christina, who assisted with my temporary crowns and works closely with Dr. Vakay. What really stood out to me was that after learning I was having surgery (unrelated to dental work), Christina actually reached out afterward to check on how I was doing. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and says a lot about the people in this office. I also worked with Rose, who was equally careful, precise, and kind. Overall, this is a professional, caring team that clearly goes above and beyond for their patients. I'm very glad I found this office and would absolutely recommend them.

I guess I fall in the former. Only thing I know is the staff here is very friendly and they make each appointment a breeze. I know I can trust their judgement when it comes to making recommendations around dental work because the philosophy here (you'll see quotes from ancient doctors on the walls) seems to be about preventative care rather maxing out your insurance just because you haven't met your max for the year.
